Great location.

The hotel claimed that the sea view suite i had booked wasnt available due to water ingress. So they gave me a two bed apartment in a building next door overlooking a loading dock whuch was thoughtfully ysed by rubbish trucks at 5am.
The apartment itself is was ok but not well finished.
I wouldn't stay there again.
On the plus side the breakfast was excellent.

Although the rooms are extremely small we love this Hotel for the Terrace room where all of our friends can meet for a drink and catch-up.

Very nice location and facilities. The hotel is modern and the service was good. The only drawbacks were noise from the nightclub until late and a dark room with no window.

Great location, friendly staff. But didn’t realise they had Friday night disco downstairs. Couldn’t sleep.

Great old pub well appointed with good service. Right across the road from the beach surrounded with bars and restaurants. What a great stay! We will be back.

Friendly staff, plenty of restaurants and bars in the facility and surrounding area

LOVE the room and feel of the place. However it is VERY noisy with bars both below and above. We stayed a Saturday night and it was loud right into the early hours of Sunday morning.. But we went into it knowing that and managed to get sleep anyway. Couldn't get the WIFI working in room 42 which meant we couldn't get the Chromecast working, but there were a lot of TV channels available anyway. A great location right in front of the beach and close to great restaurants and everything you need. The Breakfast was great.

The Steyne is an iconic pub in manly. I stay fairly regularly and always have a great room. Staff are friendly and breakfast is also good!

Unfortunately we received a room facing inwards where the music was very loud. Despite wearing earplugs it took quite some time to fall asleep due to the music. We paid to be able to sleep, and wished that we had been warned that our room could be loud when booking.

View of Corso and sea nice.
Amenities good.
AC a bit noisy.

Room a bit on the small and tight side. Music loud in the early hours of Sunday morning. Doing some sound proofing should have been considered in the refurbishment. Housekeeping staff need some training in the basics. Room’s pod coffee maker had been replaced with a kettle with the two coffee pods still there. Obviously don’t understand or drink coffee. Improvement needed!

Great position for beach & getting around but a bit noisy for us

Historical part of Manly, just in Corso and in front of the main beach. Room had everything required. Highly recommended!

Love the Hotel and location. Great staff, brekky is excellent and the pub is always good for a few schooners.

Lovely young lady at Reception. Fully explained the Hotel’s facilities, entry, after hours etc. We had a great front room with the view of the beach. Plenty of areas to choose from for having a drink and something to eat. Everything you need is minutes walk. Shopping, dining, just people watching. Great stage set up in the mall with terrific sounding bands.

This is a very cool hotel. The rooms are cool, and the location is amazing. The price point is good too. There is only one problem. Saturday nights at the hotel are loud until 2-3am so unless you are in the hotel on the dance floor, you'll be lying in bed imagining you are. :-)

Great shower, always like a hotel with good water pressure and modern fixtures. I would have liked the ability to make a cuppa in the room, it was a tad inconvenient to have to walk to the shared guest kitchen.

I booked on wotif in the evening and arrived and no one was answering the phone to let me in and give me the room I paid for. I had an awful experience and as a single female then had to book and pay for an alternate accommodation for the night who had a staff member to let me in. This experience was shocking

I booked my stay on Monday the 8/7 to stay at this location
Booked the accommodation through Wotif
After a hard days, worth of work, turned up at the location as it was convenient for me to book this location as it was only around the corner from my work site
Stood in reception for 15 minutes, waiting for somebody to attend and acknowledge me
After confirming booking taking all my details, they turned, turned around and asked for a credit card. I said I paid on my work business card which I have used at multiple places and use this card for business expenses when working away
They said they cannot use that card as it was a MasterCard, and if I knew anyone with a credit card to use the numbers on that, and then they could process it for me to stay
My reply was I do not know anyone with a credit card and they would have to use this card. They basically shrug their shoulders and said they cannot do anything at 7 o’clock at night after I was proceeding to check in
I want my money back as I paid a deposit through Wotif. I did not stay at the accommodation.
Further action will be taken to retrieve my money as I did not stay at the property

I loved the quirkiness of the hotel and the food options provided downstairs. Great shopping around the area too.
I was slightly horrified to find the window was blacked out, as a claustrophobic it was quite unnverving to wake up and have to go outside of my room to get an outside view. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

TV was broken yet the location was key to our stay. We would visit again.

I love to stay at the Steyne when visiting - value for money, very convenient and full of character.

Great location 👌

The shower water leaked out into the bathroom creating large puddles on the floor. The beds put together to make the king bed separated throughout the night making it very uncomfortable to sleep. There was a live cockroach in the room. The blockout blind and curtain did not cover the window which was facing into the venue. Flashing lights from the venue were coming through this window till late.

Nice art deco rooms .. I had an inside room so quiet but no opening windows which feels a bit claustrophobic. Friendly staff and great location!

The Steyne is in a great location which is why we chose it. Convenient to the event we were attending.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic accommodation in Manly, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the price, dining and entertainment options, as well and warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The location is simply perfect, with stunning views of the beach and easy access to local shops, restaurants, and cafes.
The room was recently renovated, cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment.
The check in and out hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for local attractions and ensuring that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made me feel right at home.
Overall, this accommodation in Manly exceeded all my expectations. It's the perfect spot for a beach getaway, and I can't wait to return! Five stars all the way!

The rooms were a nice retro feel, bed was comfortable and appointments very nice for a pub. Meals and service downstairs excellent. Dinner and Breakfast service not faulted. Most disappointing points:
the $100 key deposit which restricted our expenditure in the bar.
we were given an upgrade to a queen room on "the Corso" side, which meant we didn't get to sleep until 3am.

I chose this accommodation purely for the location. The rooms are on the small side, but clean and have an ensuite which is also small. The room itself was clean/modern, the hallway carpets becoming worn. Popular hotel venue on weekends so the music is fully audible from the accommodation until closing time.

Noisy!! Room above very loud music until 3am on a Saturday night. So loud room was shaking, so that was disappointing as we not told this would happen at check in.
On a plus location is great. Bed was comfortable . Would only stay again mid week. Staff were friendly.

Everything one could need right there on The Corso. Coffee, cafes, retail outlets, markets, groceries, entertainment and the beach.
The only thing I would highlight is that it’s a party hotel so there is late night DJ all weekend into the wee hours. If you’re a family or love your sleep, probably best to stay elsewhere.
I will definitely be back!

The room was extremely small (I have had larger in low cost hotels in Japan). The telephone that was in the room was not working so I had no contact with any services (safety issue!). The advertisments for the hotel that I saw did not show the room as it really was. In the photographs there was the perception that there was room service (croissant on a tray in the room) but there was none. The biggest complaint was the noise! I had just 3 hours sleep during my last night because of the VERY LOUD disco music banging away until 0300hrs.
With the disco aside, everywere that I went there was loud music (far too loud) even at breakfast time. Fried eggs at breafast were cold, even after I had commented such.
I have no intention of staying there again and I will not be recommending the hotel to anybody, in fact I am more likely to recommend they not stay there.

In the middle of the action. Lots of options for going out shopping and dining. It's pretty quiet, except on live band night.
