That was not fancy , but clean and Mary was so kind and polite. Near to shopping centers and beach.

The lady who runs this operation, Mary, is sketchy and unworthy of your trust. When checking in, all of our questions or comments were met with patronizing remarks or a dismissive and condescending laugh. We noticed there were no towels, and she told us if we want one they are $5 each to rent. After we checked in and paid our deposit we went out for dinner and when we returned to our room we saw that she (or someone with a key) had entered our room and gone through our belongings. We finally had enough of her and this place that we demanded our deposit back and left to find other accommodations.

Did not stay. Staff refused to let me keep my valuable bike in my private room.

The Amenities are ancient; there is not even a table, the bed sheets are very rough and old, and the quilts are not clean. Worse than a cheap motel but more expensive. Unless you are a backpacker, this hostel is definitely not suitable for families and children. My family was very dissatisfied and had a terrible experience.

This place should not be listed on this site. It isn’t clean nor is it safe. The room I was given was downstairs in the basement and the windows were not to code (couldn’t escape in a fire). Furthermore the musty smell in the basement was dismissed as “the sheets were put on damp”. People not staying there had the code to the building and were in visiting in the middle of the night. No refunds in spite of leaving after one night due to conditions.

Very basic.

It was only a five minute walk from the Ebus station to the hostel.
Mary is awesome. She is competent and friendly.
The place is clean and comfortable. It was quiet.
The only detraction I would say is it didn't have a composting bin. I'm so used to them in Vancouver, I feel badly about putting organics in the garbage.
I love this place, and I would certainly recommend it.

It seemed like from the beginning that she didn't really want me to stay there. I had booked it on hotels.com in advance. On my receipt from them it said there will be no extending charges at all. After I booked the room about 4 hours later she texted me saying that she had to charge my car another $28 because she didn't add the room cleaning fees. I was never brought up to me from the beginning so she just went and didn't get it so I got ahold of hotels.com and we found a way back in in like 5th page of the itinerary that it says you can ask for room cleans daiy for that's under my discretion if I want that or not and I didn't never asked for it but they still charged me for it. Next she accused me of smoking in the house when I don't smoke and it just felt like an aura of like this meanness towards me the whole entire time. That was kind courteous respectful just went with the flow didn't get upset about what she was doing. So on my day that I left checked out She texted me about noon and said that she had refunded my my damaged deposit I checked my credit card and loan behold she refunded it and then recharge my card again a $180. I was slabbergast and she's like I don't know how to put it back I can't do that for you it can't be done. So she tried to make it seem like it was a done deal and then I just had to pay it and it won't sleep she felt that I would just give up and just let her take my money or something. So I had to meet her to get it back. It was all stressful.

Shared toilet and bathrooms. Old property. No light at the backyard where we park our car. Limited free parking.

It was a nightmare experience . A very noisy and loud environment, people outside are screaming ,drunk with loud music at middle of the night till 3 am. No enough sleep due to loud environment and terrible smell inside, bed was intchy and can’t stand to sleep. This is just a terrible hostel ever. It’s very cheap and good price but worthless. I will never ever recommend this hostel ever. Sorry for my negative feedbacks but I’m just being honest to improved this hostel a better place to stay .

Loved the vibes cool people there as well

The owner is rude. The bedroom is so bad - bad smell, sockets are inappropriately equipped, door lock is so hard to lock, and more importantly need to switch off the lights outside of the room. The environment is so noisy and poor as the sound-proof is so bad. The most significant thing is that it definitely didn’t worth the price. I was paying nearly a hundred buck for a night!

It wasn't bad. The lady was good to us and showed us around. They have a small dining area and kitchen equipped with most of essential cooking equipments. But we didn't realize there would be common bathrooms/toilets. Probably our mistake to verify things. The room wasn't too unclean, but the toilets could definitely get some cleaning and possibly a makeover. The showers were enough to stand in but the just curtains. :/ we certainly didn't shower and tried to hold in as much as possible.

It is an old house with a number of small rooms in a run down part of downtown. The price of 82$ was extremely high for the quality of the place.

The group of two families decided to stay one more night in kelowna after checking out from the other hotel. Since it was last minute we look for some place cheaper. Upon checking in we were informed that 1 room was not available. All payments were processed and everything was so disappointing after. It was indicated that amenities includes free parking, free breakfast and free internet but there was no enough parking space and no breakfast. We had to leave our stuff in our room unlocked because we had to deposit $20 for the room key. The room was small, clean but no air conditioning. Definitely not worth staying for family.

The front desk customer service at check-in was so unpleasant I wanted to immediately leave the property and find elsewhere to stay, however this was not an option as most properties in the location were booked up that night. The lady was rude at times, patronising, asking many personal questions, this made me feel very uncomfortable. This set the tone for the rest of the stay, the hostel has a weird atmosphere, most unlike any hostel i have stayed in previously - it is certainly not friendly, nor welcoming. The room itself was almost bare, very cold at night, with mix-matched bedding & furniture. It was not dirty, but certainly wasn't as clean as it could be. Considering the lack in customer service and quality of the room, the hostel should hugely lower their price. I wish I had read the countless negative reviews left by other unhappy customers, as i am shocked to see the unprofessional responses left by the owner to the online feedback. This attitude shows the owner does not value nor respect the customer, and does not care to hear feedback to improve their business. This is not your typical hostel, and the front desk makes you feel as if you are a child entering her home. I visit Kelowna often on business and will not be returning.
