Very old. The key of the door is old style.
Only paper cups were set beside the pot in bar corner instead of glass cups. No cup and saucer for the hot drink!!!
Two chairs were dirty!! Huge spots on the seats!!
I couldn’t sit down except on the bed,
My room was Deluxe Doble room.
Towels and bed sheets were clean, that’s it!!

Getting the most for the money.
Parking for $7 a day.
A bit far from citi center but only 2 minutes walk from subway. Few good places to get dinner close by like "Big Boy"

Welcoming hotel and good professional service. Good position in Hiroshima.

The hotel was a bit far from Himeji station but pleasant. Free breakfast was good and everything was okay considering the price.

Have everything, even the teas. Water is drinkable. Nice view and cozy hallway+room

It is old but clean. Japanese style bathroom is renewed and very nice.
Room is enough big and staff is trained.

Tatami and Futon instead of bed, which was really comfortable. The bath was also good, which we wash our body and hair outside the tub. Feel like staying at Japanese home. I'd recommend this hotel to a Japanese family with 2 kids.

The hotel is old but other things were nice.
Staff is very kind, room was clean.
"Shimin hiroba" station is very close to the hotel.
Air condition was not good because it only has low, middle, and high level.

Hotel room was very clean and comfort. Staff mebers were also very kind and nice. Breakfast was very delicious. The location was little bit far from Sanomiya station (Kobe center area). However there was portliner which took us to Sannomiya station within 10 minutes.

I picked this hotel as I wanted somewhere to stay after a concert at the nearby Kobe World Memorial hall. It was so close to the venue that I could walk there without needing a coat (even in January!). I arrived a few hours before the official check in time and the receptionist kindly let me have the room early as it was ready. This would be normal in Europe, but in Japan hotels tend to be very strict with check in times so was much appreciated.
The hotel can be reached using the private Portliner railway line (Shimin Hiroba stop). For this you can buy a day pass which works out cheaper if you intend to travel back and forth during the day.
My room was a bit of a time warp from which I would guess the hotel was built in the 70's or 80's and not really touched since. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable, but it could do with some refurbishment (the carpet was stained and the shower looked very old fashioned). That said this was the cheapest hotel on my trip to Japan and actually an absolute bargain. I would happily stay here again and it's perfect for the concert hall and exhibition centre.
The area around the hotel is very peaceful and quiet with a convenience store across the street (which I used for breakfast). It seems like a residential or business district, but it only takes a few minutes to reach the mainland on the Portliner so you could use the hotel as a base for exploring other districts of Kobe.

Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful part of Kobe. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see the the quieter part of Kobe.

The hotel lobby was beautiful, but the rooms need some work. For example, stained carpets and torn wallpaper by one bed. Our room was really spacious, though, with a nice view of a port. The location could have been better as we had to take the train to go to the popular sightseeing spots.

We stayed at this hotel because a family member was attending a conference across the street. The neighborhood is quiet and close to a train station that took us to the main train hub in Kobe in about 10 minutes. The condition of the hotel is dated, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has some western food and more Japanese food. A good value for the price. We found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful.
The biggest downside was that the wifi was very spotty. It was frustrating for those in the group who needed to use email for work.
