Room was dirty (black spots or grease or something at a few places on the wall), we always had to go back to the front desk as keys never worked and my steak at the restaurant was full of fat and barely cooked (asked medium rare).
Spa was very nice.

Very disappointed in our stay this past weekend. The spa was limited and dirty. The restaurant did not have any vegan options despite my calling ahead of time. The staff were not overly friendly.

We spent our 44th Anniversary at Cedar Meadows and loved it. Nice room and great food.

The restaurant had great food.

Smooth check in, room was as advertised and dinner at the restaurant was awesome. Lise looked after us with great care and the food was delicious. Good sleep, great omelette for breakie... and home sweet home. Thanks for another great overnight visit!

The staff were cheerful and friendly. The restaurant was very nice. The room was only ok. It had not been cleaned as well as it should. The hot water only got warm and the room was very dark ( needed my reading lamp to do work on my laptop).

Nice area, loved the quietness here.
The only negative experience is checking in (which was no fault of the hotel). Our reservation was made by third party (our host) and on check in the hotel required a visa to have on file during our stay, which is standard practice for all hotels, but we didn’t provide one so they had to contact the person who made the reservation. It didn’t take long for that person who made our reservation to call in their visa, it worked out at end but using third party (Expedia, Bookings, etc.) doesn’t release person’s visa (to have on file during our stay) to the hotel who made the original reservation for us. I hope this made sense.
Thank you

I have enjoyed my stay. I think the building as to its standards it needs a renovation. But staff was amazing and services were awesome.

I love the feeling of isolation although it’s right in town.

One thing I think should be noted was the front desk person was NOT in a good mood at all.. The hotel said pets were allowed yet she was not impressed to see my little dog with me.. said there were no rooms on the first floor and it took 30 minutes to check in she was rude the whole time and made us feel super uncomfortable being there... The whole reason we booked there was for our dog.. If you are going to have pets permitted- be prepared for that .

The restaurant dining area wasn’t clean, the food was ok, expensive considering it was all pre-made and there was no chef. The Nordic spa was ok the ‘hot bath’ wasn’t that hot, it was only around 99-100 degrees.

I hated that, as seniors we were forced to climb stairs to our second floor accommodations and not be offered a better accommodation on the first floor. Also, that we’d have to continuously go back down those dreaded stairs to get our room access card fixed because it rarely worked. We were attending our mother’s funeral and when asking for a place for my sisters and family members to sit and chat, they wanted to charge us. Only at Cedar Meadows would they be so inconsiderate! Even the Holiday Express, where my other sister had stayed, had offered us the dining room the night before. So, we’re we impressed with this hotel? Not on your life?

Comfortable quiet stay, but more than one proper wheelchair accessible room is needed. There’s only one with an accessible bathroom and it only has one bed. Breakfast was cold and not great, but dinner is fantastic.

A pool and hot tub would be a nice addition.

Not a nice place to stay compared to all the other options. The odd animal sighting didn't make up for how poor the rest of the place is. In the room I stayed, there was a giant hole in the floor of the shower. They placed a mat over it as if I wouldn't notice but I immediately lifted the mat and saw it. So I couldn't shower because I knew water would get everywhere. I don't know how this hasn't caused water damage everywhere. Also, I had to pry information out of the front desk staff. When I checked in there was no information or direction on how to access the spa. When I asked I was told I had to pay extra which was fine, I just wanted to know when, where and how. Same with the ice machine. I had to ask and it was like I had been asking for a favor of some kind as opposed to informed of the services available to me for staying and paying money. I also saw cabins available on the property. No idea how much or availability. I gave up at that point. The room hadn't been dusted or cleaned properly. Just brutal. If you're thinking of staying here, just book somewhere else. I saw a black swan and an elk I think. The elk was yards away behind several layers of fence and the swan I almost hit with my car because for some reason they thought it was a good idea to have the ponds at the main entrance. I could probably mention more but I think that gives you a good idea what's going on over there.

Beautiful in the country and quiet

The room was shabby & run down. Broken door handles & locks, ripped chair upholstery, stained walls & doors. Black out curtain was old with many holes. Bathroom & beds were clean. Evening desk clerk was abrupt and not welcoming. Morning desk clerk was pleasant and professional. The grounds are well maintained with interesting wildlife. I would not stay here again because of the condition of the room and the reception I received when checking in.

Cedar Meadows is a quite peaceful place to stay. This was my second visit to the Spa, but my first time staying at the Hotel.
It offers a very clean friendly and helpful environment. When ever I am in Timmins this will be my place to stay.

It’s a beautiful place, walls are a little thin, we heard the tv from the room beside ours. But I would definitely go there again

Rooms were terrible. Had to change rooms twice because of broken fireplace, broken lights, filthy floors, worn furniture. Curtain rod fell off and it too then two days to fix despite repeated requests. Housekeeping came to the room once in 5 days. Key cards took several attempts almost every time to unlock the doors. Nordic spa was nice and wagon ride was excellent. Would do those again but will never stay at the resort again.

I liked that they had animals surrounding the resort. The restaurant was good.
Dissapointed that it was out dated and run down. Holes in curtains, thick dust under table set. We booked thinking we would get to use the spa services and they had nothing for us. We had to travel off site to get massages.
