Stayed here for a short holiday. Great location in the center of Grenoble, with a view of the plaza. Many restaurants and bars nearby.

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location and the receptionists are incredibly kind and professional.

Excellent from all perspectives! Very clean room. Modern furniture. Very professional staff. They really care about their clients, as well as the rooms and the service they provide. I would definitely recommend this hotel, without any hesitation. And the view is gorgeous. Thank you very much for the excellent stay!

This is a small old hotel in the center of town so the location is great. The rooms were small but clean and updated. For the price point it is a clean, friendly safe place to stay. We had a room with a street view which was charming.

The staff and location in Grenoble perfect. You could not ask for something more central. The rooms were slightly dated, which is not the end of the world. With the value for money, you are getting at this hotel I highly recommend staying.

Very good hotel, nice location, madam in the counter is kind!

Very central location beside old town. Large public car park 200 metres walk away. Very large room surprisingly quiet even though overlooking Place Grenette.
4.2
Can not beat the location, near to center of Grenoble. Walking distance to shops, cafes and other local areas. Train runs right in front of hotel. Breakfast was good. Service outstanding. If interested in exploring the "old" Grenoble, this is the hotel. Short walk to a park for downtime. Hotel must be well insulated since we heard no outside noise. Have stayed twice at this hotel.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Room 45 was large, with a fantastic view.
We wish there was better lighting in the bathroom, and we had to log back on to the WiFi every time we wanted to use it. But those are small issues. It's a really good place to stay in a beautiful city.

Stayed one night as overlay for business trip. Great location in heart of historic Grenoble (city plazas with lots of cafes, gelato shops, markets, restaurants etc. nearby) that were open even on Easter Sunday. Very clean room and decorations embedded inside historic building felt like a living, breathing version of an impressionist painting. Very helpful English-speaking staff (though, of course, you'll want to at least make a courteous attempt at asking what you want to ask in French first) helped to combine solid customer service with a small-town feel where even strangers can easily converse with staff and other customers. Note, however, that the elevator is small, so it may not be recommended to bring more than two large suitcases.

Very nice hotel with an incredible location. The bed is comfortable and all the personnel and the reception staff is wonderful. It just needs a couple of improvements to be perfect. For example, there is only one plug in the room and one in the bathroom that only works with the light on. So, if you are two people, you cannot charge your two mobile phones at the same time. And in the shower there’s no place to put the shampoo or the soap. But, apart from those little details, our experience was excellent.

Simple clean hotel with friendly and importantly efficient staff

This hotel is a standard three star. Located in the middle of beautiful downtown Grenoble, this hotel is convenient and clean. The biggest downside would be the size of the room (quite small) and the temperature of the room. Waking up very hot and unable to get a satisfying temperature in the room put a damper on the morning. However, the breathtaking views of the city and mountains combined with the helpful staff more than made up for tough night.

This hotel is older, but is beautifully kept up. Rooms are small, but clean and very nice. The hotel is located right in the center of the city, within walking distance to many sights, right on the tram line, within a 15-20 minute walk from the Grenoble Train/bus station, and is very convenient to everything. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! The view from our room was amazing!

This is a nice old hotel in a good location with easy access to everything. You unfortunately pay for the central location by the constant noise from Place Grenette (it goes on very late and starts very early) so ask for a room that doesn't face the square, which may help. You don't however hear much through the walls of the rooms except for the locking and unlocking of room doors. Our room on the top floor, was very small, overlooking the square (hence the noise) with views of the mountains from the small balcony (but not from the room itself). The bathroom was old and the shower hand held but everything worked. Toiletries were regularly replaced and everything cleaned daily. We chose to take breakfast at the hotel during our stay - fruit, cereal, yogurt, a small selection of cold meat/cheese, bread, croissants, brioche, jam, juice, water, tea, coffee (Nespresso) and hot chocolate. It was very nicely presented in a lovely dining room. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Grenoble is a small city so you can walk around it very easily otherwise the tram stop is very close to the hotel as is the old town with its narrow streets. We ate a couple of times at the Italian restaurants on the other side of the river, at Annie's American diner and at a lovely Tapas restaurant near the river close to the footbridge. It's not easy finding vegetarian meals in France! The museums are beautifully presented and free which is a bonus.

Great hotel in a great area. My room (#25) had a balcony with a great view. Staff was great. Walking distance to many cafes as well as the cable car station that takes you to the Bastille (highly recommended). Make sure to ask for a discount card for the cable car at the front desk.

I was on a solo road trip from the south of Spain to Milan. I didn't have any plans and just drove until I felt like stopping. I discovered Grenoble and Hôtel de l'Europe by accident. What a beautiful town and the hotel was just perfect. The stay were super friendly and my room had an amazing room of the city and the mountains. If you are looking for a beautiful little hotel in a great location check out this one.
