Lovely old inn with great food and entertainment via the tavern on the premises. It would be nice if TV was updated for streaming apps and information about WiFi was not shared in the room info.

I highly recommend staying at Homeport Inn and Tavern, it’s a beautiful property and the owner and host is extremely friendly. The property is historic and very nicely renovated. Beautiful, and I mean beautiful common areas and up to date comforts that you don’t always find in an historic inn. You should definitely stay. We also highly recommend the attached Tavern.Trust me when I say that it’s not your typical bar food. I had the halibut and my partner had the ribs. Both entrees were delicious. The tavern hosts musical venues and jam sessions. We were there and had the opportunity to listen to Keltic music; it was magical.

The hotel is obviously an old and beautiful mansion of days gone by. It is well kept, but not perfect. The lower level is a tavern which was convenient because my husband and I didn't want to drive to a restaurant at the end of a long day. Decent pub food.
Check-in was a bit confusing. We didn't read all the info ahead of time but the Tavern staff helped us get settled.
The breakfast was very good and had many choices but you need to get there early. The coffee was excellent.
The room was spacious but we would have appreciated a small sofa or extra chair. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. The wifi was fine. The windows were not operable, maybe for security.
I would stay here again.

It was wonderful. It’s an old renovated mansion. The owners are very nice. The attached Tavern had a great atmosphere and the food was the best we had on our trip. I definitely recommend!

I need to brag about this gem we found. Originally picked it for the midsummer night's feels.
We
This place was a perfect midpoint between Boston Airport and Acadia NP. The Homeport Inn has a restaurant (tavern) on site. Live music dinner specials. The provided gourmet breakfast with farm to table eats. Built in 1865 by a local Sea Captain. The history and architecture was so beautiful. Great deal since we'd built up so many points. Highly recommend if youre looking for quiet and away from the crowds.

Great little B&B with a cool history. We were greeted by the owners upon arrival who were super nice and gave us the lay of the land before leaving us on our own. There is a tavern located below the rooms with a private entrance for guests. The music from the tavern can be a little loud if you're planning on going to bed before 10pm, but the food & service at the tavern was FANTASTIC (chef prepared and inspired - don't miss out on the specials!) Even with few guests during our off season stay, breakfast was warm and ready for us when we made our way to the enclosed veranda in the morning.
Highly recommend this little slice of heaven.

This place is an absolute delight and I wish we were staying longer! The staff is incredible, the place is impeccably kept (and decorated), breakfast was perfect and they even have a cool tavern that the owner kept open for us to have a nightcap after our 8 hour drive. We would definitely come back - and will! What a charming find!

We loved the charm of this property and very much enjoyed the use of the common spaces including the library and pool table. Check-in and check out we're very easy and the hosts were communicative. The space is historic but impeccably clean. We would certainly book again.

It is actually a very large historic house with large en suite rooms on the main floor with the breakfast area, and the restaurant is below with its entrance to the rear. I don't believe we ever heard noise from below while we were there.
What I would recommend is that they put any additional fees associated with booking through a 3rd party at the top of the description to avoid any departure surprises.

Cool old inn. Awesome tavern/restaurant on the lower level. The best food!

As an old Captains house you field the history of the building and the owners have lovingly renovated the property with their own modern twist.
The room (6) was beautiful with a comfortable sitting area as well as a porch. Cleaned every day. The breakfast was delicious and Allison on hand each day for chats and questions. The linked but separate Tavern serves delicious food.and cocktails and very popular in the area. Live music every day but doesn’t impact on the noise level of residents. Close enough for a drive to Acadia as well as Camden, Castine and the Narrow Bridge Observatory 12 mins up the road.
Can’t recommend this place enough!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Homeport Inn & Tavern. The owners have restored the facility to a beautiful B & B. If you're in the area, we definitely suggest this for lodging.

The house is pretty good with nice smell of wood. The landlord is so nice to prepare very delicious breakfast. I will definitly reserve there again if go to Acadia next time.

The owners perform their job as innkeepers well.
Though I would advise people looking to stay here that one of the rooms is very, very small. It should be listed as a room for 1 person.

The proprietors did everything to make our one night stay comfortable. The beds/pillows are great (and I'm a stickler for that), room was comfortable, breakfast was delish and homemade with a yummy fritatta, oatmeal, croissants, etc. Not just putting out pastries. The Tavern was expensive but the food was so good!

Arno and Alison went above and beyond with their hospitality. We had a wonderful experience. If you can't find a room and you are in the area at least come for a dinner at the Tavern. Great food and atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

Unique historic building.Inside kept like in old years. Exceptionally nice and helpful hostess Anita and Marcia. Breakfast better taste and served than in any 5 star hotel. Very clean and comfortable beds. Bamboo bed linens which we loved. Special treats were greatly appreciated. The best muffins I ever had, and !home baked! Simply a great Inn. Thanks again Marcia and Anita.

The property was fine - typical B&B. Town it was in had no place to eat or shopping. All areas along the Maine
country roads have very limited amenities. Bar Harbor is very nice, but surrounding villages are very short on
amenities. Covid is only partly at fault. Strictly scenery - not much else.
