The hotel owners are not advertising rooms properly. They have 2 hotels. One you see on the advertisement overlooking the St Lawerence. The second is a hotel called Evangelene which is an old relic down the hill in a valley. We booked the advertised place with Air Conditioning and a mountain view. We got the old relic with no Air Conditioning and no view. More importantly this dump had no hot water for showers in the morning as something was broken and needed fixing. These places need to be advertised separately. Until then don't book this hotel as you dont know what you will get.

They calculated the taxes on a sheet of paper and got it wrong to their advantage. What a lame way to add one dollar to the bill of an over priced shabby hotel, no view, no ac and very old amenities

Beautiful view from hotel. Great prices and friendly francophone staff to greet you on arrival. Beds were pretty firm and hot water went a little fast. Those two complaints didnt hurt our overall experience though, it is a great spot. Would recommend with those two heads up tips!

very expensive for such a motel

Beware.. This place is not really a pet friendly motel! Despite this motel showing up as an option when filtering for pet friendly placed, when I arrived at the motel, I was told that pets were not permitted in the room I booked. I was given another room ('mountain view' room) which was located in a completely different location from the rooms shown in the Expedia pictures, on the other side of the highway. Not at all the ocean view room I was expecting. Very disappointed.

It was VERY expensive (250$/night) for what you get. It was a very plain chalet, old furniture from the 70's, couches with holes, and the beds and pillows were uncomfortable.Even the toilet paper, soap and towels was of the poorest quality . They only provided basic dishes, there was nothing available if you wanted to cook something in the oven. The only positive is that it was clean.
When we booked we understood that we would have a chalet on the river, and we did not. Our view was a partial view of the river and the back of another chalet. There is no real beach just a municipal area that has access to the water.
When we booked we told them we would be bringing two small dogs. They said no problem.
When we arrived, the man at the front seemed concerned that we had two dogs (one is 12 pounds, the other is 3 pounds) and asked if we were bringing them everywhere we go and not leaving them in the chalet at all. I told him that they knew when we booked that we had 2 dogs, and now this is a problem? He said if we leave them and they bark we might get complaints.
If this is a pet friendly hotel, people will from time to time have to leave their pets in the room, and as long as your dogs are trained it is not a problem. We never received any complaints about our dogs.

The room was very dirty. Crumbs and dirt on the floor, hair on the pillows and stained sheets. Don’t think they changed the bedding which is crazy during Covid! If you chose the
Motel you’re in a different building than the pictures show which is across the highway.

Please note if you select the standard room, mountain view (should be listed as river view), you are in a separate motel across the road from the chalets and main building. This is not mentioned in the description and not shown in the posted pictures either. It was very disappointing. Also, the room states it has air conditioning, and it does not. The rooms are very dated and small. Although they appeared clean, I woke up with bites all over my legs from some form of bugs in the room.

The location was good but there is a busy highway right beside the property so it was loud. The views over the Saint Lawrence are excellent, Although it was definitely not worth paying almost $200 per night!! The rooms are outdated, and didn’t have simple amenities like ice or air conditioning. Again it was nice enough but not worth the money.

Beautiful location , chalet was very clean.
However, lack of soap, shampoo. Towels could have been bigger, .
The Ben was ok however it was supposed to be a queen , ended up getting a double.

Good place to stay. It was fairly clean. There was no hair dryer though. Take it with you.
It was very close to the ferry. Just maybe 5 minutes away which made it very convenient for us.

Worst motel ever been to!
For the price we paid (118 C$, tax included for one single night) we had a cheaply furnished and decorated room, dirty towels in the bathroom and a bathroom door that did not close!!
We reserved the room based on pictures showing on the web site, a room facing the water but then, when we got there, they told us for that for the price we paid we will get a room facing the mountain!!
Very rud personnel.

It was absolutely fantastic. We had our dog with us and he loved the little river in back of our room (mountain view). Service was great - bed was fantastic. This was a well-appreciated stay after travelling and being in a car all day. Relaxed. Watched TV and just zoood out. Thanks for all.

The location is wonderful. The view from the room over the St. Lawrence is spectacular. The motel is what you would expect. Small room but very clean if a little dated. Great place to overnight if your not too fussy. Owners were great.

We never got a chance to view the room as the ferry had closed for the nighr. When I phoned ahead to tell them we would arrive late he said"no problem". The ferry had already closed by then . They kept my money and refused to refund me.

This is without doubt the worst hotel / motel I have ever stayed at. It did not have the amenities described on Hotel.com description. No A/C, no kitchenette, a room with a bed I could fit into a small guest room at home. Also, the person at reception when we arrived could not speak English. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but it was so bad we booked another hotel in New Brunswick and gave up the 2nd night's payment and incurred a charge at another hotel to get out of that place. NO ONE SHOULD STAY THERE !!!

Clean room, a bit pricey considering there was no A/C in the room. There was a strong perfume smell in the room when you enter but goes away fast after you open the patio door. Had a "mountain view" room, the sound of the river in the back was great to fall asleep quick. In short, a good place to stay for a few days, but don't expect luxury.

The hotel manages 2 individual buildings. If you book the cheaper mountain view rooms, you will get directed to another hotel down the hill. The room was basic but comfortable but, the trash can was not employed from the previous occupants

Great view of the St Lawrence, we saw Beluga’s and Seals.

A little pricey - internet connection is slow and unreliable
