Property was exactly what we need for a quick stay.

The puddles of water running across the floor from the leaking window in front of the loose outlet with no cover was a real treat.

We visited the Tappan Zee Hotel, Tue, Aug 13 - Wed , Aug 14 , 2024 . Our ( Special requests ) , Tappan Zee Hotel, and may you please put us on the second floor in a room with no rugs; and with a beautiful view and in a quiet area and may you please spray the room with air freshener, we don't like cigarette smells. We had a room with all of the above! The Tappan Zee Hotel, we liked our stay most of all because, ( no rugs in the room and most of all clean toilet bowl up under the rim of the toilet bowl very clean ) . Roof leaked in a rainstorm and the cieling collapsed in the roof. Filled a suitcase with rain and broken cieling tiles. They refused to wash anything, just said it wasnt their fault. They transferred us to another room where they A/C didnt work, then gave an attitude about transferring us again to a third room. Not impressed!

Cheap, run down, fairly clean and comfortable. Good for the price. Outlets suck.

Front desk was professional and pleasant. This hotel is a bit dated and needs some upfrades but the room itself was clean and tidy and best of all no old, smelly carpet. The close proximity to Palisades Place mall makes this the ideal location. Great value for your money.

The non smoking rooms should really be non smoking. The whole building just stank like cigarettes. My children kept complaining of the awful smell. The non smoking by room we got didn’t stink if the ac was off. But as soon as we turned it on it stank up the whole room. The walk to the room was horrible too. Last night, someone was smoking weed on our floor so that whole smell crept in. This hotel has potential for smoking clients only.

Peace and quiet

Very dated and old. Mattress had burn holes. Towels were very stratchy, like sandpaper.

Enjoyed the fact that its located accross from the Palisades Mall and there was plenty to do to kill time.

Like the scene for a psychological thriller / murder film but not in a good or novel way. It’s not a “hotel” it’s very much a high-priced creepy, dirty run-down motel. Save yourself and sleep in your car instead:/

I didn’t like the property.

The bedside lamp flickered on and off, Causing my mother's CPAP machine not to work throughout the night.The bottom outlet of the lamp wasn't charging in less.The top was in use. The bathtub stopper did not work to keep the water in as I had a baby to give a bath to. There were red splashes on the floor in the bathroom and in the bedroom. This was very weird. The gentleman who checked In was very attentive and came up immediately when we needed his help. Overall an o k stay for 1 night but wouldn't stay for more than one night. The beds are not comfortable and the hallway.Smelt like smoke even though we were in the non smoking section. Another problem with our stay was that the hotel is not handicapped accessible. Too many stairs to walk up for a disabled person.

Nice and easy stay.

Not one place where to hang clothes. No wardrobe not even a hook on the wall. In the bathroom, nowhere to put the towels, the toothbrush or anything. We had to leave all clothes in the suitcases. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, lumpy, slept extremely bad and woke up with severe aches and pains. Can't understand why they keep it like that.

It was the perfect weekend to stay and the manager he’s the best and friendly words can’t describe how caring and kind he’s is. The service was great too with the housekeeper by bringing me towels. Thanks again guys and i can’t wait to come back again, 🙏🙏☺️☺️☺️

Let me start with the good. There are industrial level handle bars in the bathroom, which could support the weight of even the most obese people. While it ruined the “design aesthetic” of the bathroom, I care more about safety than design. There was some sound from the street, but I always travel with a white noise maker so, despite an uncomfortable bed, I slept fine. Biggest problems: -The bed didn’t have a fitted sheet so the sheet kept coming off the bed. -The sink basin sat in a wood piece of furniture that had stains and looked like it was purchased in the 70s. -The hallways had a vibe that made one wonder how many gangsters had used this hotel to knock someone off. -Overall some effort had gone into remodeling the rooms, but the items not updated, cheap beds, and 70s themed bedding, and most of all bathroom, left the feeling the owner ran out of money, as opposed to was going for a Twin Peaks vibe. Instead it’s a Frankenstein 1/2 modern, 1/2 70s vibe. I selected the cheapest hotel because I needed a night before heading upstate. Pay the extra $50 and don’t come here.

It was average for what it was. Comfortable bed, hot and cold water. Air conditioning works. Tv works but it’s not HQ or HD at all. Conveniently close to palisades park mall & the cuomo bridge, but that’s about it
