Older property for sure with several issues they put bandaids on but for the money in this area we expected these things. I would stay here again.

Maria was terrific at check in. Room was very clean. Our room opened onto the dock. The marina was full of sealife (tarpon, manatee, parrotfish). Pool was nice and warm.

We got the ocean view room and it was the best experience so far. The room was well equipped with microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, tv and sufficient toiletries. The room was exceptionally clean little bit old but very well maintained. The room had a porch with 2 chairs and table. The ocean view was the most amazing part of the room we sat there for entire evening also had the dinner there and morning coffee. Overall a perfect stay to relax and enjoy with the family. They also had jet ski and boat rentals for very good price just outside the room and also had a small swimming pool for kids to play and relax.

Came here by boat and stayed a week. Loved it. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The dock facilities are old but more than adequate. The marina area is nice and protected by natural rocks and mangroves. The hotel itself is perfect Old Florida. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC was cold, and they had Fire TV. There is a great little pool and deck area, and we even rented JetSkis one day right there on site. We are frequent Keys visitors and have stayed at several places with varying results. We will definitely be back!

The room we stayed in was obviously going through some renovations. It says overlooking the water which technically it does, but it overlooks it from the other side of another building. You're not right next to the water. Considering that, the room itself wasn't too bad. The main issue is that we were told by hotel personnel we could fish from the docks. Even though signs on the dock say no fishing, they told us that those signs were for non-guests and guests of the motel could fish there. The first night we did so with no problem. The second night we were accosted by a drunk guest that demanded we not fish from the docks and then the police were called on us. We were asked to leave the docks because the signs said no fishing. The cop said unless we had written permission from the motel we couldn't fish there. There is a lot more to the story, but I am tired of this incident already. We were very upset but retired to our room. Couldn't sleep much because I was stressed over it and then I had a long drive back to Orlando from there the next day. In the morning before heading back to Orlando we spoke to the general manager (Mike Trammel). He apologized but didn't seem to care at all. He said he would speak to the guest (What does that do?). It didn't bother him at all that one of his guests was harassed by a guest and had to deal with cops. He didn't even care the cops came out at all to the facility. My suggestion is go here at your own risk, if you just wan

We stayed one night on 5/11. As we were arriving after usual hours I contacted the location who followed up with me to ensure I had received my lockbox info. They also let me know we got a free update and that our room would be #6 on the first floor. I was appreciative of this change and optimistic until we opened the room door later that night to find a couple already in there. The paperwork also listed #6 as our room and the key successfully turned both locks. I tried calling 24-hour support and perhaps the number I had was incorrect but after several minutes we were left wandering the resort. We met some very nice men (guests, not staff as they had left for the night) who offered to share a beer, and a cat who kept my boyfriend company (please feed him more fishy treats; he’s great) while I decided to try the next best option: using the same key on #9. The top lock wasn’t a fit but the bottom was. After opening the door and calling into the room to make sure it was empty, I called my boyfriend up and we stayed the night. I did ask him to secure the door with a chair just in case other people got master keys. The next day at check-in/out we let the front desk know about the issue. One team member didn’t seem to initially understand the issue with our key opening multiple doors (new perhaps) but the other team member clarified to her and apologized for the mistake. I hate writing poor reviews but wanted to share in hopes things improve. No follow up from hotel was received.

There is no cafe as advertised. We had to soend money leaving the lidge in order to eat. No tiki bar, again as advertised.
Rustic, quiet, clean pool.
No ice machine, you have to buy it at close to four dollars a bag

Stayed here for 2 nights and can’t complain. It smelled and looked clean, the A/C worked well, and everything functioned well. For a short motel experience, I’d recommend.

We booked this hotel at the end of Sept 2023 for our April 2024 stay. When we arrived, they had no record of us booked because the day we booked, they switched computer systems so the reservation never transfered over. We were left looking for another place to stay at 4:30 in the afternoon.

My only complaint was that my stay wasn’t longer! Everything about this resort was amazing. I loved the fishing area, the pool, the staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. I can’t wait to come again 🥳✨

The owners were very accommodating!!! Thank you!! The location is perfect for seeing lots of things on the keys. The pool looked good but we did not use it. I don't think there's many rooms. It's a small private place. It is close to the highway but I didn't hear any highway noise. The rooms aren't modern by any means but perfect for location and price if you want a safe quiet place to sleep.

We reserved 2 rooms for an overnight stay. We checked in but ultimately left and did not spend the night. The photos on the website are deceiving. The motel is in very poor condition. So much so we didn’t feel safe sleeping there. The patio doors were secured by a bar in the track. The smell of bleach was so strong in one room it made your eyes sting. This place makes you want to shower when you leave!

The property was very nice and exactly what we wanted.

I live the water view from my room. Tammy who worked there was friendly and bubbly. She was very informative as well. They have a pool that’s right next to the lake. They have a beach area with sand and chairs. Jet ski rental is an option. There is a general store there as well. Plenty of parking. I will definitely stay there again but I will book directly with them. I loved all the quirky decorations also.

One of the reasons we booked this is that it claimed to have a private beach entrance. That's false. There is no beach. There is waterfront, but it's not swimmable. It's a marina and a fishing area with a dock for jet skis. The water is gross and smells like fish from the the nearby lobster traps stacked up. There's no place nearby to swim safely and cleanly. People who work there are chill but the listing is not accurate.
