There is no one at front desk after 8p. There was no way to plug the bath tub. Room needed updating; bad wood in multiple spots. Bed was comfortable and clean. Good location

The room conditions were just ok. There was no closet for clothes, when pulling out the drawers they would fall off the tracks and the door to the porch was VERY difficult to close.

Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We live 2 hours from st george island. Thos beach house hotel was a perfect little getaway spot for a night or two. Great guest service, fair prices, as well as being a great little room to accomadate 3 plus people for a short getaway. Pet friendly and close to everything! 10/10 i would recommend it to anybody for a weekend getaway!

St George Hotel is a quaint, older beach hotel. Bed was creaky, but comfortable, room updated with beach vibe, and bath was small, but had a big shower!

Stayed on 2nd floor. No control over air conditioning. So cold you could store meat. No desk or chair in room. However the hotel personnel are very nice.

No privacy, no service very disappointed.

Great place to stay. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Central AC on 2nd floor so can’t set your own temp. Was still comfortable though. Central to everything.

Upon arrival, we did not get the room we booked through Expedia, however the Neptune room ended up being wonderful and staff did accommodate us for the room error. I would highly recommend a stay at the St George Inn.

This is a great beach hotel. It is not a resort, just a clean, friendly exceptionally convenient beach adjacent property. We were very pleased with our experience and will come here again!

Brilliant.....great location....helpful staff....beach second away....

The building was built to look like a colonial home turned into an inn, and it definitely does. High ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, and antique-style furniture really gave it the look and feel of an older home. The keurig in the room with Starbucks k-cups is a nice touch. There were a few small things that could’ve been nicer, like a water spot on the ceiling, chairs that were so worn out it felt like you might fall through, and spots on the walls that had been patched but not repainted. The beds were comfortable, and the AC was nice and cold. Don’t be fooled by their “pet-friendly” policy, though, as you can’t leave your pet unattended at any time. Ever. So you have to take your pet with you every time you leave your room. The walls are also pretty thin, so you can hear everything in the hallways or from the (gorgeous) wraparound porches.

This property was nostalgic. Rooms small, bathroom smaller. No place to put your thins.

To begin, the staff was amazing! Super nice, very accommodating, and helpful. We cannot say enough nice things about everyone associated with the Inn that we encountered. Well done! Thank you!
The location of the Inn is very good. A very close walk to the beach, shopping, and area restaurants.
That being said, we very much enjoyed the first few days of our week-long visit. Halfway through our stay another family moved into the empty room next to ours. It was at this time that we discovered that the shared walls between rooms are PAPER THIN! Granted, this family did not understand the courtesy of "inside voices", but even after we politely asked them to please keep a reasonable sound level in their room, we could still hear EVERYTHING that they said and did.
Every conversation, cough, dropped object, or trip to the bathroom that they made woke us during the rest of our nights that week.
We found ourselves very self-conscious about our own conversations knowing that they could hear everything that we said, as well.
Needless to say, the quality and pleasure of our stay plummeted immediately, to the point I am not sure we will ever return again, as this condition is a deal-breaker for us.
Be aware!

Paid $300.00 for an overnight stay.
Didn't consider it to be a good value proposition

Very old building with all of the associated creaks and wear and tear. No elevator for 3 story building. In our room, the tub had been removed and a newly added large shower added. Bed mattress was uncomfortably hard with no springs; however, there was a nice, new soft blanket. Bright porch lights glared in windows throughout the night. No option to regulate room temperature.
Close, walkable proximity to the lighthouse, beach, restaurants, and some shops.

Noisiest place I have ever tried to stay … like a college dorm.

About a block from the Blue parrot which had great seafood. No view from the hotel but great area and right across the street from the beach

This is a quaint, old-fashioned, old Florida inn, that was just what we expected and with which we were completely satisfied! Very dog friendly. Very comfortable! Very laid back. It is not a five star resort and if that’s what you are expecting you will be disappointed. For the money, it is a great place to stay a night or two. It is a block from the beach and all the local favorite hangouts and grocery. Perfect!

The property is what we imagined Old Florida to be like …

This hotel was an interesting, old, no frills hotel. It was clean and well located on St. George Island with a wonderful wrap around porch on all levels. The breakfast consisted only of Biscotti and Starbucks Keurig coffee. Our room, the Bayside, had a wonderful shower and a comfortable bed but the mattress squeaked when I turned over. Overall it an acceptable stay but know going there it is a unique place, not the Ritz.

The location of the Inn is right in the middle of the commercial district on the Island. It is very easy to walk to all the restaurants and businesses. The furniture is outdated in the rooms and ownership could benefit from updating just that alone. Rustic old Florida but the beds and chairs don't have to be.

Loved our stay at this place because of the location. No way to control cooling on top floors but it was cool when we were there. I would definitely stay again!!

Most of the good reviews must be fake or people who have never left home. This place is by far the worst I’ve stayed at since College. The room is tired, worn out, holes in the walls, paint in floor from missed door repaint. The bed was old, so soft i sunk in, feared bed bugs all night, musty smell, lousy bathroom, no one on duty when fire alarm went off in the night…call emergency number. Really? I could go on and on, but won’t. Nothing good here. The most helpful thing for this hotel no competition on the Island. Paid $180 for a night, wouldn’t stay again if free. My buddy, who was up at 1 AM turning off faulty smoke detector in vacant room, was offered a cookie for his trouble. Should have comped his night. Crazy. Never, ever, again. Tear it down and start over or complete remodel.

Cozy hotel across from the beach. A bit old (which is disclosed, so no problem) but kept in an excellent shape.
It's our second time here and we will be back.

This is a nice quiet peaceful beach location. None of the big things like attractions that bring the crowds. And everything is conveniently located. Shops around, groceries across street, nice cafe with great food on the water like a block away. There are places right on beach much more expensive. But really not a big deal staying at St. George inn. It’s really easy to get to beach. The property is pretty nice and conviently located. I will definitely come back.
