Only offered Continental breakfast when pictures on website showed a cooked one, I thought would be available. But was a phenomenal set up anyway with loads of choice. Room was clean, excellent shower facilities & great nights sleep. Room a little small so crowded & difficulty setting up my Laptop easily for working.

Really lovely welcome from the owner who showed me to the room. Clean hotel in a great location to the centre of the city. Full of character. Great value for a quick stop over. Lovely fluffy towels and room amenities. Continental breakfast served with a friendly greeting, great service all round. Definitely one I will return too.

We loved our visit to the Colchester Boutique Hotel. It's very close to the centre of town where there are lots of places to get food and drink and do a little sightseeing. The hotel has a quirky charm with several communal areas decorated nicely with art and antiques. We particularly liked the vintage cigarette machine. Continental breakfast was lovely with lots of options: pastries, pancakes, cereal, fruit, meat and cheese plus an added bonus of scrambled eggs made to order. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'm sure one gentleman never left the place as he was always around and ready to answer questions and checking if we needed anything. If we visit Colchester again we'll definitely stay at the Boutique Hotel.

Ideal place to stay very close to the high street,hotel has parking which is a big plus just a bit narrow to get to if you have a big car Rooms are good and staff helpful breakfast was ok but I did miss a full English All in all would definitely recommend 👍

An intriguing hotel in the town center. The hotel is full of character with rooms situated over two buildings, the main building and an out building via a seated garden area. I had a very comfortable stay in a cosy room. The General Manager, Daniel made me feel very welcome on check in and the staff are all friendly and very helpful. I was in the Bar and mentioned that my room was a bit chilly and by the time I returned a portable heater had been delivered. If you are looking for somewhere that provides comfort, a relaxed atmosphere with breakfast included and great service then this hotel is perfect. The price is nice too!

Excellent overnight stay for a short visit while attending an art exhibition at the nearby Firstsight gallery. Friendly staff and the room was very clean and of a high standard. Continental breakfast service was very good. Would recommend a stay here.

A nice break roland and his manager were very helpful with little issues we had with finding places the room was good and for my brother who was with me has mobility issues it was great parking is a big plus in colchester and the continental breakfast was a big plus with many choices.

room was somewhat small, staff tried to fix a problem that was out of the control of the hotel which has clouded my judgement but they did the best they could. Very good choices for continental breakfast, plenty of fresh fruit, cereal choices, baked goods and other items

Very welcoming staff with parking in central Colchester ( although narrow gate. The manager was very helpful with parking etc. Very helpful owner. Lovely Continental breakfast in large outdoor seating area ( shaded). A great base to explore the City and area including the Stour Valley ( Constable country etc).

Lovely twin room with cute features in fantastic location. All staff were very friendly and the continental breakfast was delicious and ample. Really thoughtful additions such as still and fizzy water in room. Very quiet even though located in central Colchester on a busy Friday. The free onsite parking was a huge bonus. We were able to see our car from our room and could just walk to our celebration venue. The manager was particularly helpful and my was great with my highly chatty daughter. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Not worth the £175 per night price! Very noisy location due to street noise . We were kept awake until the early hours. The room its self in general was pleasant , but lacked a few general items that would have made the stay more practical i.e no mirror near plug points , so blow drying of hair was not made easy , the roller blind in the bedroom was broken ,so obviously this wasnt checked after the previous occipation of the room...

Fabulous stay, great for a place to stay whilst visiting friends for a gathering in Peldon. Lovely hotel, wonderful presentation, personalised introduction and parking space out the back. I came back to the hotel late which was fine, although the gates were closed so I parked on the street which was fine and opposite the hotel. Lovely stay, lovely room. Would stay again!

The manager, Daniel made us extremely welcome from the moment we walked in and nothing was too much trouble for him. The hotel was beautiful and spotlessly clean and also very conveniently located. Excellent breakfast too.

Made to feel at home from the time we walked into reception. Great friendly welcome. James also gave excellent local information for places to visit in Town and surrounding aeas. Wonderful room with four poster bed. Very tasty and well cooked breakfast from Sian. Secure parking and seating area outside. Staff in the Bar very helpful. Cleaning team friendly and reflected the hard work they put in each day. James has put the boutique in Boutique hotels.

We unfortunately didn’t stay the night due to personal reasons but when we arrived we received a really lovely welcome. The room was good, everything we needed, maybe a bit warm and we struggled to keep the window open. Good location and the parking was a bonus.
