Nice being right downtown, easy to walk. The bathroom was real tight and no room on countertop. Breakfast was fantastic.

Easy to check in and out....breakfast was good...room was clean....easy to drive from to and from the mountains...Tv was old....I brought my fan for noise because being on the main street I could hear music and cars....

Couldn’t stay at a better hotel. Super clean the staff was awesome pet friendly the breakfast was on point. Clean parking lot. 10 out 10 highly recommend

I already paid for my room on hotels.com for my stay and the site told me I’d have to pay a deductible when I got there. No biggie, I can do that. When I got there, I expected the deductible to be drafted off of the same card I used to book. This hotel took hundreds out of my account. I’m 20 years old and paid for me and my MIL to stay in Gatlinburg.. I only had what was in my account and what my FIL gave me to spend up here. They put my account in the negatives holding MY MONEY for a “activation fee” AFTER I’ve already paid for my stay. No where did it tell me that this fee was going to be applied when I got there other than that small deductible when I first get there. She tells me that it will fall off once I check out but the way she spoke to me sounded like I was paying for the rest of my stay.. I paid a good bit to stay here and it was NOT worth it. Wallpaper peeling with what looked like mold behind it.. cobwebs.. beds slid around, the shower head sprayed water out and would soak the bathroom when showering. I do NOT recommend you to stay here.

Good value for money. Would have been excellent with a bigger TV and decent reception. We managed to watch world series game 4 in spite of grainy picture. The breakfast was better than some others we have had. Good assortment of hot and cold food with a small area eith tables and chairs.
3.8
Would stay there again. Very quiet, clean, and in the heart of everything.

We stayed in a pet friendly room with our small dog. The room was clean and comfortable it did have some stains on the carpet. It would be nice to have a bigger grass area for the dogs to use.

what a great place to stay!!! was very pleased even saw several bears during our stay if i had only one down fall of the room it would be the shower the shower head was 7 feet in the air no lie so this made having a pleasant shower difficult other than that this hotel is a must stay for anyone wanting to be comfortable and in the middle of the action. the staff is very friendly and helpful also

Needed better parking

When we arrived the girl at the front desk check in was friendly, and she upgraded us to a private balcony when my friend asked how much it would be to upgrade to a private balcony. That was sweet. However the list of services was provided which included Free breakfast 7am - 10am. When we arrived around 9:45am there were no hot food available so we knocked on the kitchen door, and the young girl that came out just looked at us when we asked, then she walked back in kitchen to check with someone else. Then a older African American lady came and peeked out of door and we said the same thing. She just stared at us and said nothing. She could speak English because I had heard her talking so it wasn't like she didn't understand. We finally just left because we never got an answer or acknowledgement about it. The ice machine is located in a different building which is near front office and we stayed in back building, so that's really an inconvenience.

The only thing I can say against the hotel is the room key the whole time that we were there they had computer problems and then something to do with the Box on our door so every time we wanted in we had to go and get somebody for the 2-day stay that we were there, that's my only problem was the door key, it did get a little aggravating not be able to come and go without bothering somebody to let you back in or me or my husband one had to stay there so we can let one or the other one in but all in all it was a great Hotel

Rooms had been renovated. Nicely decorated. There were some stains on the carpet. They needed to have a blanket available as all they had was a sheet and duvet cover with no insert. The front staff was accommodating when we asked for a room with no stairs. Everyone was very friendly. They had a good breakfast. Location was perfect.

Great location
Close to the main road and activities
3.8
It was comfortable and affordable. Loved being on the main road. Just walked to city attractions.

Only bad thing I can say about the room was the tub drain was very rusty. Everything else was in good condition. My son enjoyed the indoor pool. Hot tub by the indoor pool was broken. Very convenient location. Most everything in Gatlinburg is within walking distance of the hotel. Good breakfast but limited seating.

When we first arrived we had to change rooms because the linens and bed were absolutely disgusting then we were put in a room with full beds at best after reserving a room with queen beds. I also paid more for an upgraded room however I didnt see any upgrades. We were also charged a $25 a night pet fee which is fine with exception that I was not made aware of it prior to the stay.

Very close to everything. Since they have remodeled wow the rooms are great!! The lady in the office was very nice and helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

Enjoyed our stay rooms were very clean beds comfortable friendly staff
I would stay here every time I visit highly recommend them if I could give them a 1 star I would

The location was excellent for what we needed.
3.8
Great hotel but the parking was terrible
3.8
Or room faced the parking lot. It was warm when entering and it took a whole 24 hours for it to cool down. Room was clean but when packing to leave, a roach crawled across the counter. Loved the additional small table in the room with extra seating. Both of us were able to work while staying.
3.8
Had a great time it is a good location, easy walking clean and enjoy the pool
3.8
The only real problem was the room had ants pretty bad. I let the front desk know.
3.8
At the desk they seemed like they were doing me a favor/ they didnt want to be there.
The rooms were dirty. The carpets were stained like crazy. Their were bugs on the beds nothing to serious. The room smelled outdated. There was trash in the ice bucket. The fridge had a cheesecake that was old old...
Beyond that the hotel is in a great spot. The outside looks decent. Breakfast was alright.
3.8
If u didnt get to breakfast as soon as it starts u wont get any. We told front desk didnt seem concerned so we had to go across street to shoneys. We stayed 9 days u would think try to help us. Good location though
3.8
Very clean. Nicely updated. I had to deduct one star just because the water pressure in the shower was barely adequate. Great location AC was great

We checked in on a Saturday and checked out on a Wednesday. We never had any housekeeping service for our room the entire time. We had no phone in our room to even call the front desk. When I asked about it, the front desk lady could have cared less. She told me to call from my cell phone. I had tried calling for towels and couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. I had to go to front desk to ask. We had to call on our cell phone every day for towels. I had to empty my own trash.
Our TV was stuck on the loudest volume and the tech came up to fix it. He very nice and friendly, but we ended up having only one channel.
We only tried the continental breakfast the first morning but it was unstocked an hour before closing. Didn’t even have coffee cups out.
The lady at the front desk didn’t act like she cared at all. The lack of housekeeping is a MAJOR issue, because on check in I was told we would have daily housekeeping service.
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past with the old owners when it was Leconte View. It may not have been as updated but I never had a complaint. The front desk staff then was excellent and would immediately fix any issue
I would say this will be my last stay at The Wander.

Did not have housekeeping at all
3.8
location was awesome. Staff was nice. They have tried to update the property however it was obvious they did not sweep or mop the bathroom. There was a beer bottle cap under the nightstand and a piece of sausage under the bed (which explains the roach that we had to kill). Will not stay here again.

Nice clean place.

Room was nice and location was great.

The motel is located right on the main drag with plenty to do within walking distance. The main room was fairly large, but the bathroom was tiny, with no exhaust fan. The bathroom and entry doors stuck and had to forced open every time. Housekeeping consisted of emptying the trash and providing new towels- nothing more.
The coffee machine with the acceptable free breakfast broke on day two of our visit. On morning three, it was still not working. The coffee pods provided in the room were not compatible with a cone filter, so the in-room coffee was terrible.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
3.8
The lock would not work upon arrival. They did repair it and we cold lock our room. The condition of the property was dirty and we stayed 3 nights and no cleaning service. Dirty towels & trash in the hall. No soaps everything was empty. Went to front desk 2 times and nothing was done. Ants in the room etc. I picked up towels, bathroom tissue and was so happy to leave this place Sunday morning.
3.8
The staff that serve the customers are rude, they are not good at listening or serving the customer, the coffee machine did not work, in the tub I found hair from the previous customer and when I made my reservation I specified that I did not want a smoking room and the room they assigned me stank of cigarettes, the only positive thing I find is that it is very close to the attractions
3.8
For a fair priced room/weekend getaway the room and location was very nice. Front desk clerk was professional. We enjoyed and would book again.
3.8
Make sure to confirm the bathroom you are getting with your room. Our king room had a tiny bathroom and the toilet sat right up against the sink cabinet. You had to sit at a weird angle and still touched the cabinet.
