Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the homey feeling of the gathering room where we ate breakfast and met other guests. We were impressed with the owner, Mike, who is very friendly and laid back. The location is excellent - walking distance to many restaurants, the harbor and close driving distance to State Parks. It was the perfect place to relax on our fall Door Country trip.

Love this hotel. Staff is attentive and reacts with any needs promptly. Cozy rooms. Bonus site makes homemade pizza to order. After a full day of travel it was nice to go to the club house and order pizza and relax. Hotel was close to the bay and 30 minutes to Lake Michigan. We booked two rooms for our girls trip. Everyone was happy. We will return next year. Ownwer has a fantastic sense of humor.

Enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Walking distance to the beach where you can watch the beautiful sunset. The staff is very friendly. The bed and pillows are a little on the soft side. Would visit again.

Great little family run hotel one block off the main drag within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Furnishings are a tad dated but everything was clean and the location and price were great. Super nice staff.

Nice experience; greeted with a friendly welcome. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Although there were other guests, it was very quiet. The property is walking distance to restaurants and community activities. I will be back!!

“Door County quaint.” Older property in a great location. Friendly service. Plenty of parking. Very small bathroom. Steps to second floor were not easily accessible.

It’s an older facility so the place reflects that. The location is good with easy walking to nearby restaurants. They do offer free yogurt, instant oatmeal and fruit along with coffee in the morning. It would be nice to have in room coffee makers. The bed was comfortable.

We had a wonderful get away at the Village Green Lodge! Mike was so helpful he even carried our luggage up to our room! It was so peaceful and relaxing! Will for sure stay there again!

From the lovely heated pool, to the wonderful conversations and s'mores round the firepit, my experience with The Village Green Lodge was nothing but positive. The rooms were clean with charming decor. The location was ideal, centralized about 10 minutes (according to GPS) from just about everything we wanted to visit. Closer still (a block) from the most beautiful views one could hope to see. All around, a magical trip.

This is not a Ritz Carton. But it is a Wisconsin hotel that will make you feel at home in their extra clean sheets under old fashioned but fresh comforters, on real beds, that were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed being welcomed by name with a bit of Wisconsin humor. Mike was a very appreciated guide. It was not my nor my friends first visit. Mikes guides brought us to places we have not seen and slowed us to a pace to enjoy in a whole new way. We hope to return to this gem sooner than later. The pool was refreshing, breakfast and coffee with other guests was enriching, and Tuesdays homemade pizza and local music was new to us, and truly enjoyed.

Very Door County quaint. Nice woodsy surroundings. Its an older property just off of 42 but extremely well kept. Within a 5-minute walk from Wilsons ice cream in Ephriam. Convenient to things to do north or south. Two floors with stairs. No elevators. Nice lobby with 24/7 free coffee. Beverages are $2 on the honor system. Maid service for multi-night stays is not provided unless requested. Continental breakfast 7-9 AM daily. We recommend this resort.

Be careful when booking your stay here. To our surprise we were charged 50.00 extra per night. We had a large two bedroom suite and the owner insisted it was policy to charge more to have two people in the extra bedroom. I have never heard of this. I have always just paid for the room or suite. He would not budge on HIS policy and was not even willing to negotiate. Poor customer service. The toilet wouldn’t flush and my husband had to take the lid off every time and do it manually. He advertises free breakfast but it’s just small generic oatmeal packets, yogurt and a bowl of fruit. We liked the location and would have gone back if we wouldn’t have been surprisingly charged an extra 200.00.

We spent a weekend getaway at Village Green Lodge. The property was within one block of the main street in Ephraim which allowed to walk to restaurants and local establishments. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff was extremely friendly. A great place to stay as we will be back!

Centrally located on the peninsula in Ephraim. Extremely clean rooms, Mike the owner was very friendly and genuine. The common room was very inviting with good coffee & offered small but fine breakfast of fruit, yogurt or instant oatmeal. We enjoyed our stay and will return for sure...I highly recommend staying here!
