Wonderful hospitality and low-key and gorgeous accommodations. Perfectly located in town.

This is an attractive 1930's style boathouse with dramatic views from the common area porch. The Allyah room is small with a queen bed and very little room to walk around the bed. Worst the bathroom was across the hall. Good news they provide robes for your nightly visits. Too small for us

Our room was extremely small and the bathroom was across the hall!

Do NOT stay at this inn. Never in my life have I had an innkeeper yell at me and start an argument. When we arrived last Tues I asked Joe the owner if I can inflate my 6 ft lounge float. He and his wife patti said sure no problem and that I can even let it dry in the grass over night. When I went to set it up the next day he saw my cart, he freaked out. He said he had no place to blow it up (lied) and that he preferred that I didn't. So out of respect I didn't. They had outdoor lawn chairs with cushions. When it rained for 2 days they didn't bother to take the cushions indoors so when I moved one of his chairs on the dock to get my beach chair in he freaked out again because I moved the chair. I said your chairs are wet and full of.mold and he replied and I quote "Well we're not that.kind of place" end if quote insinuating that Im a white trash kind of person. If you notice in the picture regarding swimming there is only 2ft of water to put your feet into so apparently the owners don't even want you swimming. Joe the owner has a beautiful boat which we paid to take aride on. When I came off the boat my white pants had grease on them. When I asked his wife patti if there was laundromat in town she told me where it was and that was the end of it. Joe came after me yelling there was in no way grease was on his boat. Obviously no hospitality skills whatsoever when you yell at your guests. They care only about precious image vs guests stay. They both ruined my 20th anniversary..

This was our first time visiting Lake George, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay than The Boathouse. The room was spacious and comfortable, and had everything in it a traveller could possibly need. The breakfasts were terrific. The location is superb, and the house itself is historic. Best of all, the owners made us feel more like house guests than guests at a B&B. If we return, as we hope, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

My wife and I spent a few days at the Boathouse this June 2019 and must say the accommodations were charming and well maintained. The porch splendid views overlooks lake George and the mountains in the distance which are breathtaking. The three course Breakfast is always creative, fresh and well planned. Be prepared for a great cup of coffee that is always filled by Joe which he takes a lot of pride in delivering. Patty and Joe’s hospitality and warmth make you feel as if you are with long time friends. We can decide why we will turn, for the great views and accommodations, the wonderful company at breakfast or just to visit Patty and Joe who make you feel part of the Boathouse family.
Thank you for memories which will last us or lifetime and we wait to return
