The hotel overall was nice, parking covered across the street with an enclosed walk across bridge. Multiple pools and play areas for kids of all ages. Poolside grills food is great and very nice beach front area. Now the negatives: Only 2 elevators for 20 floors of people (normal wait time of 7-12 minutes to get on elevator if it isnt full when it stops at your floor), room smelled like left over seafood for the first four days, beds were old and sunk in feeling, TV remote did not match the TV in second bedroom and TV was stuck on HBO so at 10PM not exactly best for small children coming to bed after crab hunting. Every night someone near our room was smoking and the smell of weed was extremely strong.

Dated room furnishings. No nightstand plugs for phone, leaving you to get the charger behind the nightstand or kitchen outlet. Bed and pullout were equally rough on the back. Bathroom in slight disrepair with missing pieces from the toilet seat. Communication about registration/check in was horribly inaccurate as I arrived within their mentioned window, only to find the registration office closed, at the start of the window they told me to come check in. Terrible experience with their customer service in finding a resolution for issues. Rep was kind enough, but for the money, go elsewhere. Pros: Beach Parking Cons: Everything else

The day of arrival the thermostat read 77 degrees in the room at 5pm. Turned thermostat down to 72 and it never moved. Sent a message to maintenance around 7:30 At 9pm cut the a/c off to see if it was froze up. Tried to cut back on next morning didn’t work. Got a response from maintenance around 10. Said someone would come within the hour. No one came until 3:30pm. The first night we had to sleep with it almost 80 degrees.

We had a really great stay at this condo.Just a couple of things ideas that I think would really help make the stay more enjoyable as far as cooking in the room... a couple hot pads for taking things out fo the oven, a cookie sheet, and a new big pot. The big pot had handles that were about to fall off. This was dangerous in making hot food and having to carry it over to the sink to drain. Those 3 things are super cheap to implement into this resort that would be really helpful to the next customer:) Thanks! We had a great stay... the environment was so nice. The area is really being built up nicely. The room was very clean. We look forward to coming back.

My unit (1403E) was in poor shape. Old furniture with many items not working. Broken leg on coffee table, microwave vent cover missing, sliding door to balcony was stuck and would not open more than 1/3 way, bathroom shower was dirty, old TV with missing remote cover, bird poop not cleaned, etc. Splash property itself was in pretty decent shape with easy access to the beach.

We stayed ,for 6 days of vacation,the unit was very clean, nice view to the ocean, It s a great place for kids, families,close access to the beach ,it was a good stay ,we had a good time! Wonderful place! Will be back !!

I liked the pools and lazy river. I thought that there was golf but did not see where to do that. To few elevators for the size of the condos. Lots of walking. This place is for the young.

I loved my condo and the ocean view. I did find the entrance to the condo dirty but other than that inside it was very clean. There was also some bird poop on the balcony floor. There is a long walk from the condo to the parking lot and it’s not very easy to find parking. Also the luggage carts do not go into your room. I like the easy beach access and my view the most. I did not take advantage of the pool because the water was cold.

The resort itself is kid friendly (went with my 8 y.o. son) and the 3 pools are great options, especially if you wanted area which was not as busy or full of other kids - not paying attention to others around them. Could switch pools if needed. The rental was PERFECT and surprisingly spacious. The beach and horizon view from the room was the perfect way to wake up and go to sleep by. From one side of the building, you could catch the sunrise, and the ocean side - the sunset. The sound of the ocean was quite pleasant and enjoyable. This was a very last minute trip my husband wanted to take and I'm glad we did. I would not say it's 'walkable' as there's not much around; however drive to most places was about 10 min away (pending traffic). It was perfect for last minute AND what we needed. We were out and about anyway when we needed, otherwise relaxing at the resort/rental. I would gladly book this place again! There is a question that asked "Do you consider your review to be particularly helpful for any of the following communities?" and gave options of ethnicity/culture. . . . what an odd question but will address. (I'm slightly darker myself) It doesn't matter who you are, what walk of life or what your preference/ID is - this was a nice stay. Everybody and ANYBODY would enjoy it.

Don’t bother !! We booked a place at Splash through Gulfcoast Hidaways on Expedia. After confirmation and a 5 hour drive to the location, we were told they canceled our reservation because Expedia had the wrong rate! Expedia worked very hard to get resolution and Splash would not honor any of the resolution . There are so many more options in PCB . Choose ANY but Splash!

The property itself was nice as long as you have children. There is an adult only pool, that was not monitored so there were kids. The restaurant closed around 5 and the little store/ice cream place closed whenever it felt like it. You have to park on the opposite side of the street and walk across the walkway to get to the resort. Our room was supposed to have a blender, toaster and table supplies. There was no blender, no toaster and all we were provided were spoons. The fitted sheet did not fit the bed and had to constantly put it back on. My sister stayed at a different resort and paid the same price for a room for 10 people, full kitchen, dining room, and 2 outdoor patios for what we paid for our 2 person room.

Really liked having shops close by but the elevators were really difficult to use. There was a long wait to use them because there was so many people and luggage carts but not enough space.

The balcony overlooking the ocean was wonderful. The elevator was slow and frustrating so sometimes we took the stairs to the 5th floor but wasn’t always able to with young kids. Our unit was supposed to sleep 12 but was actually two units that shared a common entry that was very disappointing for our group because it was so separate. I feel like it should have been mentioned before we booked. In the pictures it looked more together.

Overall good experience but there were a few items that stood out that weren’t great. There was mold growing on the a/c vents in the condo and the balcony door was nearly impossible to open. Not sure if it was broken or what. The elevator was extremely slow moving between floors and would get stuck often, making many use the stairs with all their luggage, etc.

It was a great trip. Splash has a lot of conveniences that other hotels do not. Check-in was confusing because you are not supposed to check-in until 4pm but the desk closes at 5pm. So we wasted time trying to figure out how to get a parking pass.

Our room was nicer than we expected, we enjoyed having the kitchen made our trip more leisure in the morning. Having the beach right outside for a quick easy shower for dinner time. Parking was amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay. Is able to sign up for jet skiing parasailing, banana boat ride right in front of the hotel on the beach made my birthday

The electrical alarm in the lobby was sounding continuously the whole time we were there. Lighting in the hallway outside our unit was out - all 3 light units. We needed dish soap (they apparently only supply units with a dish washer) and ice trays would have been nice. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The pools were great but the water was pretty cold. The pool bathrooms were in bad shape and only jad one toliet to use. We only had a problem with the elevator around check in and checkout times. Other than that they were always quick and clean. The room we stayed in needed to be cleaned and the bed was breaking. Every time you would clime into it the bed would drop further. The beach access was great but it was covered in trash.

The master bedroom didnt have a blanket and there were no extra blankets in the condo at all. We had to reset the breakers 3 times for the lights in the master and guest bedrooms as they went out on us a few times. During our stay, an alarm went off in the building telling us to evacuate... after getting scared to death and descending 8 flights of stairs, we were told it was just a test and that someone had forgotten to post the dates of the tests in the common areas. The pools were heated, but the kids' water park was freezing cold. The water park was the reason we booked Splash in the first place. Our kids didn't want to play in it, obviously. There were several other small things that just made our stay less-than-stellar. Overall, it’s a nice resort, but we'll probably stay elsewhere for our next vacation.

We went through everything and took pictures when we arrived. The condo was extremely dirty and dusty . Stained couches, walls, sheets and carpet. Dirty kitchen utensils in the drawer, there was someone else hair stuck to the bathroom wall and was very visible. The pull up couch bed is broken at the bottom so we had to have our 12 year old be careful when getting on or off it. The dryer had to be ran several times to completely dry one small load of clothing. For a bunch of kids on spring break would probably be fine, but I do not recommend for a family.
