If you want to enjoy breakfast on a deck in the beautiful garden, genuine and excellent home cooking watching sun set over same garden. If you want genuine hospitality, a Fiji experience, a boutique hotel with only 10 rooms. If you want to relax away from expensive chain hotels and plastic chairs.
If you have any sense of the extraordinary, seek to lead not follow, have an independent mind.
Then this is the Suva hotel for you

We enjoyed the historic feel of this wonderful old colonial place. We’re so happy that you’ve kept its character. The huge deck was awesome. Since we don’t care for the big hotels or resorts, we appreciated the size and occupancy at this place. It was nice that there was a pool but it needed a bit of cleaning. (Although that didn’t stop us from our swim). It was nice to have laundry service. Breakfast was fine and the dinner meal was delicious. The welcoming, helpful and friendly staff were amazing and we had a terrific stay. We will be recommending the 5 Princes to our family and friends.

Good place, parking is almost impossible especially when a-hole takes 2 spaces. bring lots and lots of mosquito spray, because there are lots and lots and lots of mosquitoes and their families,,, too many. you don’t hear them or feel them
until they are gone and you feel
the itch that doesn’t go away.
This place has a lot of green and lots of plants with rain which makes for a great combination for mosquitoes.
besides that i would say it great!

It felt old and worn. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. Less a hotel and more like an old bed and breakfast.

Just stayed for night
Esther the manager was courteous and friendly. She even helped with the extra bed even when she had little help after 5 pm.
simple and decent breakfast options.
Though near busy junction it was still quiet and a good sleep.

5 Princes is a delightful place to stay. Full of old fashioned charm. Doesnt look so great from outside, but colonial influence makes for a comfortable and happy stay

I loved the history, the character of this small hotel. The room was so spacious, clean with a modern twist. Quirky and a definitive gem in Suva. This hotel is rated 3 stars but I personally would rate it with the big boys, holiday inn and Grand Pacific, Five Princes Hotel is on a smaller scale but has everything to offer as the big boys.

This hotel was great! Such a unique hotel experience. Five Princes Hotel was the perfect place to relax after a long motorbike ride from Nadi. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I definitely will stay here again when I’m back in Suva!

Loved this little place. Set above the downtown, but just a quick taxi down into the action. The owner and staff are amazing and were so welcoming and helpful. The place is a converted home and has the quirks you would expect in a 100yr home. If you are looking for a perfect, modern 5* hotel this place may not be for you. If you are looking for an authentic characterful home with personable staff, stay here while in Suva.

The staff are amazing as is the food. The location is great and the rooms spacious and very clean. My only disappointment is that the outside of the building needs a little maintenance but it is 100 years old. A wonderful experience

No porter which makes carrying your luggage up the hill very difficult. No internet hence no TV. Door had a glass opening hence outside can see in.

Very poor first impression. No porter service, have to carry your luggage on a slope footpath and also through steps. Worn down building and furniture. Room was okay. TV didn't work. Room charges are too high for the service and facilities offered. Okay for a night or two stay without being impressive!! Will not return.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel in Suva. Our two bedroom villa was clean and very comfortable and nice and cool in the hot, humid weather. The beds were very comfortable. It's great that we could cook and reheat food as there was a kitchen provided with a decent size fridge. The washing machine near the swimming pool was very handy to wash our clothes each day and having a clothes line on the deck was great. We were able to have a swim in the pool each evening and it was lovely that we could have the pool to ourselves as the hotel is small with only a small number of guests. The proximity to supermarkets, markets and bakeries a few minutes up the road and nearness to the city was great. The vegetation around was lovely and so was the view. We were able to have a quiet time and not get disturbed by the noise from the streets.
As there were five of us we did need our toilet paper and soap replaced quite often and our bins emptied daily. We were unsure whether a continental breakfast was complimentary or not but enjoyed the cooked breakfast we had. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had also heard good things about the hotel from relatives prior to coming. We would book there again if we came again to Suva.

Service was outstanding. The employees were very kind and helpful. The hotel was very charming, comfortable and clean. The check-in desk stayed up for our late arrival and then asked if we needed anything to eat before bed. Very thoughtful. Would stay again.

This property is set in beautiful luscious surroundings. Each room is a essentially a guesthouse. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which had a kitchen, dining table and cable tv. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it. The view of Suva from the main house - where you eat breakfast and upon request, lunch and dinner was spectacular especially on a stormy day.

We are travelling occasionally to Suva since 20 years. This was our best stay forever. Though the hotel is near 2 busy streets in the compound it is nice and quiet. There are a handful of beautiful little houses in a tropical garden. The place is packed with tropical plants and it is all very clean. No old leaves, no mosquitoes and a nice little pool. The houses are set up tastefully, very clean and equipped with a big fridge, microwave, sandwich maker, free wifi and Sky television. The beds have good mattresses, clean linen and the towels are the thickest we ever had in Fiji.In front of the house is a little veranda where you can sit, watch the birds and have a drink or a cigarette. The staff is very nice and helpful and the free breakfast and the dishes from the little menu are really good. Finally after so many years we found a place in Suva where like to stay.

Nice colonial villa on the hill. The staff is very helpful with some good humour (we liked you a lot). The location is quiet and secure but then there no services nearby. The wifi worked sometimes and sometimes not. The breakfast had limited options, however the juices were tasty.
