Ground floor room was musty but OK. Sadly, left a mobile phone case, with some emergency cash on a table, rather than in the safe, went on a day trip and it was gone on my return... Staff said they would ask, but little interested.

Helpful staff, nice rooms, very close dining options!! Great time in Bocas.

It is a nice hotel with a good location that is reasonably priced. Staff was nice! Breakfast daily at the Buena Vista was very good. My recommendations would be improvement in the pillows. I travel weekly all over the world. These were the largest, hardest most uncomfortable pillows I have ever used. Would be an easy fix. A good night sleep is important.

Great hotel

The hotel was right in front of a boat dock which was so convenient for excursions, walking distance from many restaurants and bars. The staff were attentive and kind. We got sick (i believe food poisoning) and the front desk staff were kind enough to get us gatorade, medice and cleaned our bathroom. Overall, really nice stay, would recommend 👌

Enjoyed our 4-nights in a comfortable and quiet room. Very convenient to water taxi, scuba shop, and restaurants. Very gracious and helpful staff.

Thank you for a great stay to Juan Pablo, Kelly, Sasha, Zulay, Marlenis, and Astry. From a person with multiple chemical sensitivity, you went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. For that I'm so grateful.

Hotel Palma Royale was a good property, we stayed in the suite so we had a kitchen, which was fun as we were able to cook and entertain friends that also traveled with us. Its a cozy hotel, and has all you will need. However, there are water jugs in the hallways for guests; it ran out and we called letting know, they mentioned it wouldnt be refilled until the next day because "there wasnt many guests staying that night". The elevator is very small as well, literally only fits 1 person and their luggage or 2 people without luggage. Other than that it was a decent property and focal location.

The property is on the corner of the island, so it is less noisy, but the property is not on the water like many other hotels. Rooms were clean and maintained with AC and Water (drinking and bath). My only complain is airport pick up. I didnt know that airport pick was available, so we took self-paid taxi. However, hotel staff mentioned that only one way is provided by the hotel which didnt make sense. Overall, good experience.

I enjoy the place and the hotel. Front desk was amazing and helpful. Hotel was great woth the 3rd and 4th floor with great view of the ocean. Great restaurant around the area with walking distance. I would return to Boca del Toro and stay at the same hotel.

I absolutely loved staying there because it is so conveniently located where the main street is in Bocas. They also help book tours which are literally in front of the hotel. I love the staff, always kind, friendly and professional. I had the most amazing time there and hope to come back soon.

This small hotel is located at the end of the main street so a bit away from the booming music of the many bars frequented by a very young crowd - thought it was Spring break or something as so many around. There is a water taxi station across the street. There is no restaurant in hotel and you have to walk to a restaurant a few minutes away with your breakfast voucher. There is very little in-room amenities but a small coffee machine which is not conducive to making tea and even when you pour the water through there is a lingering coffee after-taste. Water coolers are located outside of rooms to fill water jugs as drinking local tap water is not recommended. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful in booking local tours and activities. There is not much to do on the main island Colon but definitely worth the water taxi to explore Pollo Beach and the stunning Red Frog Beach on the Isla Bastimentos; we even saw dolphins on our way. Bastimentos sky canopy zip line tour was scary for me but amazing through the rainforest and guides on hand to help. Bacos del Toro is great for relaxing after Panama City and the staff at Hotel Palma Royale try their best to make your stay comfortable.

Great place with access to restaurants and boats to go to other islands.

Very old location and in very loud area, they make you give your key back to the front desk every time you leave the hotel.

We rented two rooms including the penthouse at Hotel Palma Royale - both accommodations were excellent. All the staff were very kind and willing to help in any way to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms were always clean and this building is at a convenient location for walking, shopping, or taking a taxi. We had an excellent stay at Hotel Palma Royale.

I travel quite frequently to Panama and Bocas Del Toro and Palma Royale is my favorite hotel in Bocas Town. Located at the end of the Main Street with a great see view and more quite and chilled atmosphere, seconds from some of the best restaurants and bars, and minutes from the beaches in Carenero Island.
Comfort and luxurious rooms, fully equipped and decorated, most welcoming and helpful team. Always a pleasure to stay here. Highly recommended.

I like the location. It was at the quieter end of the busy street. Room was nice: big, clean, comfy bed and pillows, big bathroom, air con and ceiling fan, a little deck. The mini fridge was also great to have as there’s mini markets just a block away. Access to refilling water on each floor was great.

Location is convenient for boat tours. Staff is friendly. Area did not look that safe, but nothing happened. Internet was not working most of the time. At our last morning there was a power outage for over an hour.

All was good. Staff friendly, had investment channels on tv package. On main street so easy walk around town, fruit stand and convenience store across the street so all good.

We enjoyed our four night stay at the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable and we really liked having a balcony overlooking the docks. It was very useful having a kitchen.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast at the Buena Vista restaurant was delicious.
We felt that the location meant it was quieter than other more central hotels might be.
Drinking water is provided and a laundry service offered at a very reasonable cost.

The staff was excellent! I loved talking to all of them daily. The hotel was in a great location and I loved the breakfast daily at Buenavista.

The hotel is well kept for location. However, 2nd bedroom is actually a livingroom. Its walking distance to stores and supermarkets. Be sure to eat local accross the street at Rosti Pollos, cheap and delicious.

Spacious rooms.

The property was very nice, style of rooms, very large, and furnishings very comfortable and elegant. It was conveniently located with water taxi service across the street to visit other isles. There was a nightclub also across the streer that was fantastic, plenty of shopping and restaurant options on the same street. One disappointment was the staff, front desk and housekeeping. They took our towels, which we did not request, and then took a full day to replace them. Ridiculous. Secondly front desk staff offered a free night stay when electricity went out in the town then promptly forgot about it at check out. If something is offered to offset any inconveniences you suffer, big or small, get it in writing.

I couldn't wait to write this review! Amazing, Awesome, Delightful. The Hotel staff of ladies made my stay the absolute best. ALWAYS courteous & attentive to whatever I may have asked. The room/suite gave me a great view each morning of the bay & main street, not to mention a great patio to sit on when the rain came at night. I could listen to the vibrant sounds of water taxis hurrying through the water, or locals & other tourist conversing as they walked by below. My room was always a comfort after a day out. The bathroom was detailed & beautiful. The air conditioning really relaxed us after a good shower. But ince again it was truly the Staff that makes this place everything. Their English was great, their guidance & overall knowledge & recommendations where never wrong and their smiles are electric & affectionate. This Hotel is one if not the BEST in Bocus Town.

The staff was very friendly and responsive. The location was excellent. It was very close to the ferry and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
The accommodations (2 queens…one in a separate bedroom and one in the main living area) were very spacious and comfortable.
The laundry service was excellent. We received our laundry back ahead of the requested time.
There were some things beyond the control of the staff, so the following comments are directed to the owner:
The main drawback was the shower. There was no door, which allowed water to splash onto the floor, causing the floor to be a slip hazard. We were given a bath mat, which helped, but it didn’t solve the problem.
The closet was spacious, but there was only one shelf, which was a drawback. I suggest adding more shelves to hold clothes and personal items.
The elevator did not work consistently. Fortunately I was able to walk up and down the stairs to our room on the second floor, but we expected the elevator to work consistently, as I recently had back surgery, so it was a challenge. Having a working elevator was one of the reasons we selected this hotel.
Finally, it was disconcerting to see that none of the hotel staff wore masks, which, by Panamánian law, is mandated. For the protection of both the staff and the customers, the Panamánian law should have been abided by.

Stayed years ago and the hotel has done an adequate job of upkeep. On-site breakfast facilities not in use and Internet connectivity was spotty as other, newer hotels have been built.

We live in Panama and have stayed in a number of places throughout the country, which gives us a basis for comparison. Bocas is a pretty typical Caribbean town, with decent restaurants and beach-related activities. We were there to dive. The hotel has both pluses and minuses. First the pluses. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was spacious (more so than in many places), well-appointed, and everything worked. The bed was comfortable. Having A/C was nice, and it worked. There was hot water, not a given in Panama. There were some extra touches, like ice in the freezer, and a coffee maker with coffee beans and a grinder. It is on the end of the main part of town, near the port, so isnt in the middle of things. For us, that was nice. Breakfast was good. There were only two downsides for us. We were diving, and had to be at the dive shop at 8. The breakfast, for which we had paid, didnt start serving until 7:30. So we had to skip if we were going to dive in the morning. The second deals with its proximity the ferry dock. That is where heavy trucks unload a couple of times a day, which certainly detracts from sitting on the veranda. I might suggest skipping the ocean view in favor of getting set back off the street. The other issue is one the hotel might consider addressing. Apparently, the other side of the street is where semis like to park and diesel, sometimes for hours. Perhaps if someone talked to them, they would go somewhere else.

The hotel is located in the town and the quality is very high. Big rooms with 1 bedroom. Beds are great. Breakfast is good and the staff is nice and friendly. Very recommended. Would stay there again.
