There are a few references online that call this place a hostel, but let me assure you—it’s not a hostel at all. This is a charming property with three separate, well-appointed units that create a welcoming and social atmosphere. Two of the units are on the ground floor, and the third occupies the entire top floor. Each unit is thoughtfully designed with its own kitchen, dining area, and private outdoor deck, perfect for relaxing or connecting with fellow travelers.
One of the highlights of our stay was meeting the other guests. We spent time chatting on the deck and even had dinner with two wonderful travelers from London who were staying next door. The layout of the property naturally encourages friendly interactions, making it feel like a little community.
The location is fantastic—just one block from the beach, with parking right out front, and a short walk to the downtown strip with its shops and restaurants.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is Mauro, the owner. He’s a phenomenal host—kind, approachable, and passionate about what he does. On-site, he runs a surf kiosk where you can rent surfboards or kayaks, and he also offers a surf school and guided kayak tours. Don’t miss his tour to Donut Island; it was the highlight of our trip! Mauro’s energy and hospitality truly bring this property to life.
We stayed for four nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer. It’s the perfect place for those who want a mix of adventure and connection. A solid 10/10

Excellent stay, hosts were really friendly and helpful. Easy to check in. Close to the beach and township. Stayed for an event close by and property met our needs. Clean and comfortable, there was cooking equipment if needed. Recommended to all

Surprisingly spacious and lovely aesthetic. The cups weren’t very clean though, had to wash before using and the water pressure in the shower was pretty weak. Flannels would be a nice addition

We were fortunate that there was one other guest upstairs otherwise it would have been a bit chaotic needing the bathroom.

Our first hostel experience for our young family and the whole environment was very inviting and unique. Nice people and reasonable accommodation, exactly what we were looking for.

Since covid19 has happened I just needed a homely feel. Matty is so welcoming and allowed me to check in late no problem! The staff are amazing and I can't wait to come back again after rebooking so many times! Beds are relatively comfy, showers are clean, kitchen is small but it works. I've made some friends for life from this and some who I've travelled on with! Thank you and see you soon 😊

Could have had a fridge and better tea/coffee making facilities for price but otherwise comfortable and clean.

Friendly and low-key place. Owners (living above) keep to themselves but are always available by phone

Fun place to stay. It is a hostel so a bit noisy at night and in the morning. Very mid 20s surfer vibe

Location was awesome! Just a block from the beach. Wifi was good!Beds weren't that comfortable, I stayed in a 4 bed room. They didn't provide a key to the room which was weird. Service was great.

Would come here again anytime was very comfortable and welcomed.Staff were great one lady brung all my stuff to my room as I have an infant was such a great help! Bed was very cosy big spacious unit for a family and mins from beach was a bonus breakfast was ok I would recommend bringing to rooms as it is a bit full on with everyone around having breakfast and uncomfortable cause people actually live at this place not just stay and it makes you feel a bit out of place helping yourself to breakfast with everyone watching. Only thing I was disappointed with was that the photo showed a TV in the room and there wasn't one in the room was guttered maybe update photo of room. Overall was a good little place and I would love to come back!
