If you are traveling through the middle of France it would be a mistake to skip Tours. It would be a bigger mistake to not stay at Francois’s wonderful old fashioned hotel. You will be delighted

Hostel is located ideally. Narrow stairway to first floor. Clean. Room has bare minimum. Water bottle & 2 glasses w/linens & fan sre the amenities. No kitchen facilities or even hot water kettle is available. Decor is off-beat, could use a make over. Shared bathroom could be problematic w/guests.

I was nervous about staying here after reading some negative reviews but needn’t have worried.
I didn’t receive the door codes so called when I arrived and the woman I spoke to was really helpful - she sent me them on WhatsApp. She stayed on the phone to make sure I could enter the property.
The room (3 single beds) was decorated nicely and was really clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a water dispenser in the hallway and maps etc.
Both bathrooms were spacious and very clean despite being shared facilities. We didn’t wait to use them at all. I suspect if we’d stayed in the peak of summer, we may have had to wait our turn.
Location was fantastic - right in the old town and 5mins walk to the beach. We could hear noise from the bars but we chose to stay on the main street where the bars are so we expected noise. It didn’t go on too late.
I am a lone female with 2 daughters (14 and 11) and felt completely safe staying here - in fact, it was one of our favourite stops on our backpacking trip. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is located right in the center of all the night life. It certainly adds excitement to the experience but don't plan on going to bed early (before midnight).

The property is very centrally located in old town and though you can’t drive right up to it a cab can drop you off less than 3 blocks away. The room was clean and quaint. I stayed a week and without a view it started to feel a bit small. No reception so you need to be around for the maids to provide you with new towels. Shared washroom facilities were okay, never had to wait too long. For the price, I was a little underwhelmed, but overall this is a great place to stay if you’re traveling alone or with a partner and want to be in the thick of old town.

The bathroom was not cleaned, the sink was dirty, there was garbage, toilet is over peed.

Central and loud during the nights, which is to be expected in the old town. Other than that, this is the kind of place that makes you feel dirty at all times (sticky, dirty floor; feces in the toilet bowl; dirty linen; no cleaning/room service). Wifi didn’t work. Although there is a private bathroom, it’s outside the room, with a strong smell coming through the window. We stayed in other places in San Sebastián before and for the quality they provide it is way too overpriced!

The Off Beat Guesthouse was just what we needed for our stay in San Sebastian! It was at the intersection of two major restaurant & shopping strips and right at the foot of Monte Urgull. All of the old town was just minutes away, which was perfect.We arrived later than expected due to a missed train and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. It even had its own balcony overlooking the mountain. They seemed to be doing some maintenance over the off-season so one of the shared bathrooms was closed for renovations, but the two that were open were extremely clean and well-appointed. Perhaps the best Ive seen in a hostel.

Everything is perfect except WiFi signals on 4th floor! It's inside the old town, very convenient! Staffs are very friendly and accommodating! Room is beautifully decorated, spacious, shared bathroom in the hallway, which is not bad at all!

Beautiful house with a fantastic backyard with a view. Calm, quiet in a small village, the feeling of country side living with modern amenities, lots to visit nearby especially for wine lovers. Very nice and friendly host, speaking very good English, can give you tips what to do in the area.

The facility was fine and in very good condition, our main issue was with having to climb multiple stairs to get to the office and our room. That was unexpected. That maybe something you note as part of the reservation process/information.

Great location, nice room and beds,clean. No where to sit if not in room. We booked a room with 3 beds and were given a room with a double and a single as the rooms with 3 beds were occupied.

Not for light sleepers
The place looks like a Wes Anderson movie nested in the old town, in a perfect place.
It's clean, rooms are of good sizes and it's rather cheap.
BUT
We couldn't sleep much as the walls are made of cartboard and people came back drunk throughout the night making a tonne of noise.

It is in the best location step out the front door and there's this beautiful old church, tapas bars everywhere and the famous cheese cake shop across thee road.
Only complaint is the rooms are quite small

The guesthouse was perfect for a short stay with friendly and welcoming staff. The location is great next to Saint Telmo church and not too noisy. The breakfasts included too was good with a wide range of choices. The interior is quirky and fun and clean but not too fussy, showers a bit basic but adequate -I would highly recommend.

We booked last minute and the accommodation was great and priced well. Perfect location! One thing to note is that there are 3 shared bathrooms for 6 rooms. We didnt know that when we booked. It was not a problem for us, we never had to wait and they were always very clean, just something to note. The breakfast was amazing and the staff gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants.

The location is amazing!! Bathrooms are clean, It will be great to have AC in the rooms, hall to the bathrooms needs to be fixed, its unsafe, specially during nights since guests need to use shared bathrooms. The receptionist at check in was great she showed us the area map, offered a drink and was very helpful and conscious about the unsafe portion of the floor in the hall, management should take care of that quickly. Awesome location!!!

Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean.We would have liked a room with a view and not to share a bathroom but this small hotel has limited space and was very popular. There was nothing surprising here - the website told us all this and it was over all an enjoyable stay.

The hotel was in a great location, in old Town of Domestic but that is all that could be said about it. The staircase was worn and more importantly was damaged and slanting so there is always a danger of losing one's balance. The room bedding was missing a bedsheet. There was no airconditioning contrary to what Expedia led us to believe. Initially, we thought that the shared bathroom was clean but we later recognized that cleaning largely consisted of spraying a lot of room freshener all around. I would not stay in this hotel next time.
