This is a great location in Yosemite Valley with easy access to trails, attractions, and food service. The Canyon Cafe, Starbucks, and Mountain Bar were directly across the road from our lodge. The Canyon Cafe was very disappointing. The food was cold or had been sitting under warmers for too long.

The rooms need some TLC. Carpet needs to be replaced and the mattress were not very comfortable.

The accommodations were fine, the patio and view were amazing! The bathroom floor had dirt by the tub and dirt on the outside of the tub. The young man that checked me in was unfriendly, never looked at me and ran through the directions and information so quickly mumbling. I had to ask him to repeat information. You could tell he had no interest in customer service or giving the guest an experience. Now the gentleman at the Lodge gift shop was friendly and gave me extra information. I requested a bottom floor for stair disability and it was great.Would I stay again, Yes!

The convenience to stay in Yosemite may not outweigh the fact that the lodge is extremely outdated. In particular the bathroom needs to be renovated. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and it didn't smell very pleasant. The bedroom area was relatively clean, but the overall vibe I got was extremely outdated and musky/damp. The parking is right in front of the lodge that we stayed, which was convenient. The food options weren't the best, but that was expected as the location is very remote.

Was fine, nothing fancy.

It was the cheapest option to stay in Yosemite at this time of year. The rooms are traditional and comfortable but they are in need to updating, repair and cleaning.
The food options in the valley are limited but breakfast options at the lodge were good and reasonably priced.
We enjoyed our stay as it was for one night and we enjoyed Yosemite so much.

Front desk and lounge staff are amazing!

Well past its prime, Yosemite Lodge is way overdue for a refresh. You can’t beat the location of course but as the only really reasonable place to stay in the valley, it’s pretty sad that the concession holders have let it degrade to the stage the Lodge is in today. The carpets and bathrooms are marginally clean but there is only so much the house cleaners can do when the units are just plain worn out.

These rooms are not the latest modern facilities, but they were comfortable and mostly convenient to all the services in the valley that we needed - close to the valley loop for driving and getting around without having to leave the valley. The food was the one disappointment. It was adequate fast food for me, but my wife requires more vegetables and salads than were available. It got old fast for her. This used to be better, but has now sunk a level for us.

It is close to Yosemite Falls. The room is pretty quiet.
But there is a small odor in the bathroom

1st off the location is amazing. The hotel is outdated like a ton of comments say but that didnt bother me. The issue i have is cleanliness, the room floors were dirty with noticeable debris all over. The bathroom has mold on the roof due to no bathroom ventilation. The plastic plug in the tub was white on top black on the bottom from mold and hair in the shower. I dont mind looking past a few things due to location but this hotel room definitely needs some help..

Location alone makes this hotel worth it!

Beautiful place. Lovely cabins. The person at the front needs to be more courteous. I didn’t feel welcome.

Everything about the lodge was perfect. It’s true what they say: location, location, location. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the park. More than anything, what stands out most about my stay here is how unreal it felt to walk outside of our room and see Yosemite Falls.

I liked it was within walking distance of the restaurants, shuttle and store, very convenient. Everyone was very friendly, I will definitely come back! The rooms were a bit noisy, but after dark it was quiet.

Hotel stay was wonderful. Had a great view of Yosemite falls. Had 2 rooms together very nice. However the food at base camp was not edible. We 4 trough our food away.

Mouse in room and was not accommodated. Cleanliness if carpet was bad and was not vacuumed prior to our stay. We found toe nail clippings imbedded in carpet.

Property is great. Right next to Yosemite falls hike. A lot to do around. And stunning views outside. Good accommodations from a cafeteria to nice dine options. Only reason I rated a bit lower is because we had a rather unfriendly, smart aleck check in staff. She wasn’t exactly rude but sarcastic and not very welcoming. Since the location was great and property nice, we just looked forward and enjoyed our stay.

Renovated Basecamp and starbucks super convenient for visitors, room is clean and spacious for national parks, relatively quiet compared with curry village and other lodges. Plenty parking and 10 min to everywhere within the park, if you are a photographer needing to catch sunrise and sunset I highly recommend this place. The only comment is their breakfast options are extremely limited with small portions but I am just being picky.

Everyone was super nice, including the servers at The Mountain Lounge. They made our 10 year anniversary extra special and was a highlight of our trip. Excellent food, drinks, environment and awesome customer service at The Mountain Lounge. Unfortunately, we cannot say we felt/experienced the same with our room. As soon as you walked in, there were these finger smudges in the long mirror against the wall. There was a whole bunch of crunchy dirt with glitter on the bathroom floor and a used piece of crusty floss right under the toilet paper roll area near the bathtub. I bent over to grab something that fell under the sink and saw all these cob webs. The bathtub was really clean (I hope) and everything else seemed okay for the most part. The bed was SOO HARD!!! I was so bummed out. I had the worst sleep I’ve ever had in any hotel. There was only 1 good pillow out of the 6, which we gave to our daughter. All the other pillows were stiff and uncomfortable. After a couple of hours of trying to sleep, my back and sides began to ache and feel sore. I spent the entire night tossing, turning, using a pillow, removing a pillow, back sleeping, stomach sleeping, and nothing but aches, pains and discomfort. We were not well-rested. The comfort/cleanliness of the room is most definitely not worth $300 a night. We had credit with hotels.com and paid a difference of $90. The $300 is for location convenience and that’s it. Will we stay again? No. Will we dine in at Mountain Lounge? Yes.

Absolutely beautiful location. Room was warm & cozy but needs to be updated. Carpet needed a good cleaning. Would have liked a microwave.
