Nice stay and friendly staff. Easy walk to historical Opera House where there happened to be 2-day music festival. Nice room, too!

This is an interesting property. It has a shared kitchen so you could cook a meal. It did not have a breakfast. The building is over 100 years old and has always been an inn. If you aren’t squeamish about sharing a bathroom, that’s an option. We had our own bathroom which had a shower and toilet but the sink was outside of the room. While it has been renovated, it is difficult to take a room that was built to have a double bed and make room for a queen. Bed was soft.

My husband made the reservation through hotels.com and did not read any reviews, just looked at the rating and number of beds (our room had a queen and two twins). My son felt the bed was the coziest he had ever slept in, though the comforter felt like it was stuffed with straw. Mini fan and portable swamp cooler made great white noise and helped me sleep well.
The funny part: my husband hates imposing on friends or staying in AirBNBs if we don't have a space to ourselves. But as i checked in and heard the instructions about the shared fridge/ microwave/showers and toilet, I couldn't help grinning. This is a HOSTEL. It tells you that on some sites, but he missed it on the site where he reserved our room. I ran back to the car to share the hilarious news. He frantically checked the reservation. Yep! Shared fridge. Shared microwave. NOOOOO. It was true! I laughed for the next hour straight as i showered and got ready for bed. He was horrified, but iv felt it was the most memorable spot on our trip! The perfect last night on the road for the next year!! What a hoot! A deal breaker for some. Even though all the rooms were full, i had the women's shower room (2 toilets, 2 showers, 2 sinks) to myself. I did tell my kids to only go to the bathroom during the night if they woke up one of us to go with them in case safety were an issue. Since my kids were older, it wasn't bad.

Great place to stay, right on the town Main Street. Lots of great lil places to eat in walking distance. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The garden was nice to sit and relax in. Would stay again if in the Durango area.

This is the cutest inn! It’s scrupulously clean and decorated perfectly. There is a great yard/gsrden/sitting area and it was so peaceful and lovely. The staff were amazing and my room was perfect and comfy! Bed is really nice and I slept like a log. I will stay here in the future and highly recommend.

Super cute & local feel. Perfect location for Mesa Verde. The room (2 doubles with bathroom) was small, but nice, clean, & good for the $. The garden area was nice to relax in. Town us small but had good restaurants & was all walkable. Great experience. Recommend to anyone (as long as they don't require fancy...).

We stayed there in a room upstairs it was nice and had air conditioning. We wanted a little more room so rented downstairs in a place with a kitchen and private bathroom. The room was tight and there was not air conditioning tv did not work

I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations and how clean it was. Our room was upgraded to a 2 room with 3 beds so we didn’t have to share a bed without me having to ask.
There were stairs to climb but I had help with that.

My first time in a hostel-type environment. I just did a quick overnight, but would have liked to stick around the area and play a little.

Excellent but recommend a room away from side exit door (not #5) as people leave early in am and door closes loudly which wakes one up

I loved staying here with my pup. We had a great time, and got to meet so many other guests. It was an ideal location to travel into Cortez. The inn keeper is great, and I will be staying again.

The property is an old building, which has been redone in a very funky way. Great care has been taken with the renovation however, this is not a posh place.

This hostel is probably one of the worst places I have been to. After entering the 1950s building, and seeing there was no elevator, or decent accomodations, and then there was noone to greet me at a tiny desk, I walked out never to return. I believe the reviews to be fake. I would never recommend this place to anyone, unless you are a single person with a very limited budget. Even so, No.

The property is nicely located in the downtown area with a restaurant across the street.

Could not get to sleep on the soft saggy bed I had. The AC unit overpowered everything else . It was convenient for our NP tour, but not much for a good nights sleep

This was a quick overnight stay. The building is full of charm and has been kept up. Our room with private bath was "compact" but comfortable. A common full kitchen is available. A unique place to stay!

You can hear something howling at night. The inn was clean and the common areas were stocked and very well maintained. Really convenient to get to Mesa Verde and the inn itself was very peaceful and quiet!

This place is such a gem. It felt like coming home to moms house after a long exhausting journey. I loved the coffee and tea spread. The kitchen is a wonderful inviting space for cooking, the whole place is absolutely immaculate. The shower was incredible, the cleanest shower I’ve seen in all my travels. The water pressure and the hot water were superb. It was such a treat to stay here.

Great place. My only problem was the bed was way too soft. But that is a personal preference.

A $70 room bargain priced at $142. A throwback to the 1950s (1940s??) You can do better elsewhere

I loved this place. Had charm and very clean. The owner also upgraded me to a single room from the bunk bed with no extra charge, that was so wonderful! Also, the staff was really kind and pleasant.

I needed a place to stay for the night after camping in the woods. This place did not break the bank and was super comfy and inviting. Easy street parking too. I would recommend it for sure.
