Incredible location with du much history

Lovely hotel, wonderful location
Lots of plusses. Some minusses: can’t stand waterproof under sheets so took them off.
Also, no bedside lights for reading, so main overhead light, or nothing - not so good if your spouse wants to read, but you don’t, or vice-versa.

This property was a special place that offered economical accommodations in a magnificent setting with hiking, dining, and even a swimming pool.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the mountains and courtyard.

Ideal place to get away from an urban environment to enjoy the cool mountain air plus the peace and tranquility the monastery has to offer.

Very quiet after the visitors had gone home. A very special place with beautiful views and good base for hikes and visit to other areas in Mallorca on the West and North Side. We will be back.

It was an awesome stay. The breakfast was good and had all sorts of products, since gluten free to lactose free.
The staff is lovely and very helpful throughout your stay.

The property is incredibly peaceful and tranquil ...... especially before & after the visitors have left. It has a lovely feel to it. There are good restaurant facilities, especially the one near the main entrance.
It is basically an hour from anywhere by car, but a great place to get away from it all. Doubles rooms at front of teh hotel are worth teh extra. Amazing views of the front area with mountains behind great you when opening the shutters. The place is 'no frills', but a fantastic place to stay if you want to be in a more remote and quiet location

From Palma the taxi takes us approx 45 minutes to the hotel in Lluc. It’s located up in the mountain area with all that comes with it. It’s remote but has everything you want on a holiday. A medieval complex area, green forests, great value of dinners, pool area is great. But expect no beaches or tourist traps.

absolutely unique yes it's in Mallorca but way up in the mountains at a historic monastery! to wake up in the massive old stone building open the shutters and look up at the mountain - well it doesn't get any better! It is extremely cheap and the standard is high! remember to include half board during your stay! in relation to the price, the half board is really good! we give it 5 stars!

The hotel, grounds and pool were idyllic and really lovely, we paid for half board breakfast was ok although they were constantly running out of bowls, coffee cups and orange juice etc. The evening meal was shocking table service and a menu to choose starter main and desert from. It was all pre prepared and then microwaved though, we put our order in with the waiter and it arrived within seconds the food wasn’t great but the service from the waiters was shocking, plates pretty much thrown down on the table, no customer service skills whatsoever, so much so that by the third night I found it quite amusing sitting watching waiting to see what would happen next. So overall enjoy the stay, it’s lovely but don’t eat at the restaurant!

Quiet place in nature. Rooms are minimalist -- at least mine was -- but adequate. Limited dining options.

An extraordinary place that is secluded, quiet, and safe. You need a car to come and go, but a very untouched and special part of the island.

Beautiful converted monastery. Our room overlooked an inner courtyard. It was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the included breakfast onsite and also chose to have dinner there. The location and grounds are spectacular and worth exploring.

My husband and I stayed in a family apartment near the gate of the monastery, inside the compound. It was very quiet, clean and easy to get to truly beautiful walks around the area.

We had small but cozy room for two, clean, ideal for one or two nights stay. The staff was really sweet and helped us, gave us some tips what to see or do in the area. The hotel is situated at nice place, it is an old monastery after all.

Perfectly located, secluded property with an incredible history. The navigation led us from the wrong side, causing us to waste some time. A wonderful place for trips to nearby mountain trails. I hope we will return here on warmer days; it was terribly cold in the room in January.

I remember staying here as a kid in the 70s and the warm welcome and charm has not been lost. As a solo traveller on the GR221 all I wanted was a clean, comfortable and quiet overnight stay in preparation for the last leg of the Ruta de Pedra en Sec the day after. My room was basic and clean with an old fashioned charm that reminded me of a hostel rather than hotel which was perfect. Welcoming and unpretentious. Don't not hesitate to stay here you won't regret it.

Interesting stay in priviously monestery. Nice view to basilica from the room. There are a lot of hiking trails near the hotel. Breakfast is basic but cold tomato soup is realy taste.

What a beautiful setting. Staff are very welcoming, and the grounds are very relaxing.
The single room is incredibly basic but that was expected and makes stepping out of your door feel even more special. Dinner at the hotel was very reasonably priced.
Loads of lovely walking routes in the area, the pool and botanic garden were great too.
Only downside for me is the shower in the single room. Its very small. If you're a bigger person it may be difficult for you.
I would definitely return here.

The Sanctuary is gorgeous. The staff very hospitable, and the food is good. We had a wonderful stay and hiked beautiful trails!

Beautiful surroundings, clean and nice rooms. Staff is nice. The old Santuari is amazing, but can get a bit noisy. The food in the restaurant is poor. The food at dinner, was very simple and seemed micro-wavy. The breakfast was chaotic and also, not very interesting. BUT, there is a great bakery just next to the hotel. Find your breakfast there, your dinner somewhere else, and you will have a nice stay.

Excellent, quiet location far away from busy resorts on the coast. Perfect spot for hiking.
Also lower more bearable temperatures in summer.

I’ve done a couple solo spiritual retreats here. I’ve stayed in the single rooms and the larger 2nd floor rooms. Both times in the fall and it was lovely. Thankfully I brought my own fan and extension cord. Although the larger room does have a fan, I plugged mine near the window and brought the coole air in at night. This was in September and October so I imagine one would especially need one in the hotter summer months! The larger room had a fridge and a small slightly deep bathtub. Sitting under the stars at night was quite magical and although there were many tourists and cyclists coming and going, I never had trouble finding a quiet spot up the hill. Venturing out particularly early one morning, I was able to see a sweet herd of goats popping over the rocks! Great little local shop with local cheeses, wines and produce straight from their garden, right outside the main entrance.

The entire area of the hotel is jaw-dropping beautiful. You’re surrounded by hills and green, it’s perfect if you’re looking to peace and quiet. There’s a number of nice hiking tracks that start right around the corner. If you want to go other places, I’d recommend a car, since the hotel is a little bit ‘in the middle of nowhere”. The clocks also go a little bit slower than in the rest of Mallorca. While night life and dinner Beginns 9pm all around, the kitchen closes at 9 in Lluc and the restaurant is only open until 10:30. I’m not sure however if that is caused by corona measures. So if late evenings are an important part of your travel, you should ask for that information again in post-corona times. The breakfast starts at 8.30, the tables are prepared already with some yoghurt and granola, so you can start a little earlier. Because of corona there wasn’t a buffet and the waiter had to bring every singe thing, so I can’t really judge the typical offer. When we had breakfast there, the offer was quite limited to granola and toast (both of which were delicious though). There is a parking lot at the front of the hotel and the entire week parking cost us only 4€. If you’re looking for a place to connect with yourself and nature and experience a much slower life, Lluc is the place for you. We had a car and made trips to the north and west to get to the beach/sea and other hiking trails and enjoyed our stay at this “out of place and time-hotel”.

The place is nice, rooms are okay, good value for money. Nice walking paths around but Lluc itself is quite far from everywhere.

Beautiful quiet place and we had a comfortable stay. We used the pool facilities and had a nice walk up behind the monastery. It is a bit remote and not many facilities around. Our only disappointment was that we were supposed to have room cleaning every 3 nights (we stayed 5) but no one came - I just wanted more bath gel.
