Such a stunning place . the owner and manager, are always ready to help any time , and the staff are nice too , definitely they make feel you home. The food is so good and abundant. Dinner is really recommended , I’ve had best lobster ever for a very good price. rooms are very comfortable and beds and bathrooms stuff are accordordingly clean and neat and and basic supplies as bottles water and drinks are in place. , I'd definitely recommend La Sonada as the best place place to stay in Matanzas.

The room upstairs is amazing. Very nice a lot of sunshine. I would have put a 5 stars if with was not because of the shower. TOO SMALL. Can not even move inside the shower. Nice project for the landlord… MAKE IT BIGGER …..A must….

We had the best introduction to Cuba by choosing La Soñada and Matanzas for our first night after landing at the Veradero airport. A short $35 USD taxi ride to Matanzas. Viazul bus booked in advance would have been a lot cheaper. Lesson learned. Arrival and check into La Soñada was pleasant and hassle free. Location is good - short walk to Plaza Libertad downtown and the Etecsa office where we set up Cubacel service for our stay. 4 GB data, voice and SMS for 11 days about $1025 CUP or well under $5 USD at the standard Casa host exchange rate of 250 peso/$1USD. We met a friendly local and walked with him to a park at the top of the hill and drank a bottle of high quality clean rum for less than $5 with an amazing view of this small city and the nearby valley. Back to La Soñada for what by far (after 5 days in this country) has been the best meal we've had. I had fish, my friend had lobster. Sooooo good and even a slice of tasty lime cake for dessert. The price was about what I would have paid or slightly less than a similar in Toronto. Not cheap but worth every penny. Harmando was an excellent and accommodating host with lots of good and useful advise that has all proven to be on point. The room was again, the best we've had so far. Two queen sized beds, one upstairs one down. Clean, quiet and private. I highly recommend this place!

Casa Sonada is an excellent place to sleep if you want to visit Matanzas. The room was modern and very clean, and the house has a large terrace where you can admire the city and even have dinner. We dined here and were delighted with local dishes. The owner is really nice and willing to help guests. Highly recommended!

Diana and Rolando are excellent and friendly hosts. I will see them again on my next trip to Matanzas.
The rooms are very good quality, and after some experimenting, it became clear that eating at La Sonada is a better option than eating at the restaurants in Matanzas.

Very clean and comfortable. The terraces were amazing and such a beautiful place for an evening meal. The food was delicious and plentiful. The location great for a walk into the town centre or the other way over a little bridge to the church and Hershey railroad.
