What a great find. Two minute walk from the station and the centre of town.
Quiet, comfortable, friendly and unique. Highly recommended.

A lovely 4 night stay in a comfortable hotel close to everything I was looking for. The junior suite was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a sofa and chair.
It was lovely to stay in a hotel that isn't part of a chain and has its own original design features.
The breakfast staff were happy to cook something to order and the buffet food was fresh and interesting. There were unlimited hot drinks all day and the staff were all helpful.
We chose Haarlem because its an easy train trip into Amsterdam and our accommodation was much better value than in the capital. We also discovered that Haarlem is a lovely town and it was pleasant to walk around the old centre.
I'd be interested to come back when the weather is warmer and visit the nearby national park and beach.

Lovely decor and spacious rooms. Lots of steep steps to climb up though! Very convenient for railway station, but about 10 minute walk from the main area of Haarlam. We enjoyed our stay very much, the only let down was the dinner which was very disappointing- seems like the previous place which scored highly has closed down, and the new offering felt like they didn’t have a chef on board yet. I’d reccomend walking into Haarlam for dinner until they get themselves better sorted.

Had a great stay! Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and very interesting. Loved the coffee machine in the living room. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved this hotel! - a beautiful old building with quirky decor, very close to Haarlem station and a short walk to the centre of town. We had a lovely spacious room on the second floor, with a super comfy bed and views out to beautiful treetops. The breakfast options were delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a note on accessibility - the building has no lift and the stairs are steep so if you're not fit ask for a room on the ground floor.

Great location, beautiful rooms combining history with fun design touches and comfort. Great breakfast. Fantastic communal ‘living room’ area and really great team of people. Stayed for a work trip and came back with the family because it is just a very lovely special
Place.

Absolutely lovely stay! The hospitality on check in and check out was top notch. The room was very clean and well appointed, with good soundproofing and AC. The breakfast options were delicious and there is free coffee/espresso throughout the day with plenty of nice places to relax inside or outside the building. Would definitely stay again!

The rooms were clean, but the breakfast restaurant was disgustingly dirty. With crumbs all over the carpet, crushed fries on the floor.
I asked to clean the breakfast table, as it was dirty. It was cleaned around the dirt.

This was my second time staying at the Boutiquehotel Staats within a year and it is one of my favorite hotels of all times. Each room is unique and charming and so fun. The reception area where they provide coffee, tea and treats around the clock is such a great addition. We spent time outside in the lovely patio/garden area and loved seeing the chickens! This is my go to spot in Haarlem and it should be yours too. It's definitely a gem. I give it 5 stars!

Everything was great. Hotel itself is really interesting with many unique attributes. We usually don’t do boutique hotels, but really enjoyed our time here.

Omg! I was blown away at the beauty of this hotel! I loved the room 004. It was walking distance to the bus station and train station. Bus 300 goes directly to the airport! The bus system is very reliable and I absolutely LOVED my stay! The breakfast was also incredible! I can’t recommend this hotel enough! You will not be disappointed! The city is so walkable and this hotel couldn’t be in a better location!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Boutique Hotel Staats, please do not skip the option to have breakfast if offered you won’t regret the delicious food. One of the nicest hotels I’ve been to so far in Europe, the staff are also very friendly. My only recommendation would be that parking for hotel guest be accommodated a bit better. Other than that I give the hotel 5/5 Gold Stars, we will definitely be returning.

Just a must place to stay if you want a great stay at a boutique hotel! Can not recommend this hotel enough as it was a perfect vacation when visiting Amsterdam, The hotel is 5 min from the station, but we found Haarlem to be the highlight of our visit, with an abundance of shops, restaurants and cafes, but just a great town to visit.

Lovely boutique hotel. Get the loft at the top of the hotel if you can. Very different to any room you will have stayed in!

We LOVE this hotel because:
• The room is spacious: there is a large sitting area with sofa. There is a make up armoire.
• The bathroom is very spacious. The toilets is separate and has its own door.
• The Lounge room is welcoming. It is where coffee, cappucino, chocolate, and tea (of excellent quality) are available all day.
• Breakfast is delicious: from the croissants, the pastries, to the made to order omelets or sunny side up fried eggs.
• Staff is pleasant, helpful, and cheerful. Check-in is fast and very nice.
• The location is great, the hotel is located midway between Central Station and the historic center.
I don't like that there is not enough lighting in the night because the ceiling is so high and the lamps are so far up. The room is dark and looks depressing in the evening.

Wonderful staff, clean room, incredible location. The Comfort room was a little funky in that it had the shower DIRECTLY (and kind of inconveniently) in your face as soon as you walk in the room. Otherwise, zero complaints. Fantastic place.

Location was excellent — close to the train station, bus to Keukenhof, and town center. Staff gave superb restaurant recommendations. Breakfast had a good variety of fruit, eggs, breads, tarts. The chefs were fun. The room was spacious, very clean, and well appointed.

A lovely hotel with a Bed and Breakfast vibe. Very quiet and peaceful. A convenient location with a very short walk to the train station and Haarlem restaurants and shops. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
