Excellent trip!! The crew were great, especially Vinnie! Would highly recommend this cruise for two nights.

Great cruise of halong bay with amazing views. Boat is beautiful with a 5 star staff who go above and beyond. Would highly recommend this trip

The boat cruise was a fantastic experience for us. We were impressed by the professionalism and kindness of the crew and manager, who went out of their way to accommodate our needs and preferences. The food was amazing and abundant, and the activities were entertaining and diverse. We loved the views, and the atmosphere.
The only minor drawback was that some of the hotel amenities were a bit outdated and damaged. For example, the shower glass was cracked and he refrigerator in our room was malfunctioning.
I would still highly recommend this boat cruise to anyone who is looking for a fun and memorable vacation.

We really wanted to try a stay in Halong Bay for our trip and booked this cruise. However, our room was a little damaged. We had two twin beds, and one of the ottomans at the end of the bed had a massive yellow stain on it. In addition, one of the windows in our room had a long crack in it (it was probably around 4 feet long total and spanned most of the width of the window). Lastly, when we came in our AC wasn't working at all.
Other than our room, the cruise felt very rushed and the food was plated / presented really well, but the quality of food was really low. Lots of chewy, poorly cooked meats. Our guide for the trip was fantastic and very outgoing, and loved his energy. However, everything else felt lack luster.
In regards to travel, the schedule was not clearly communicated before the trip - we thought we would disembark around 930am and return to Hanoi around 1230pm, however we didn't dock at the marina again until 12pm. The shuttle service they provide to and from the marina also stops at a different, local place for a "bathroom break" for 30 minutes where it feels forced for tourists to buy souvenirs / food. This happened to us both on the way there and on the way back.
Lastly, if you sit outside, you will be harassed by locals on boats trying to sell you snacks, drinks, etc. It was constant.
Overall, we wouldn't book this cruise again. We would want to do 2 nights instead of 1, and try out a different cruise to see how the quality and experience might compare.

I would not say it is a luxurious cruise. No swimming pool on the deck, and food selection is quite scarce especially for us, Muslims. The arrangement is not synchronized. I had been dealing with tons of emails before the departure and when I arrived, they still got my name wrong. The lead tour, Duck could have been slightly nicer (found him to be fierce and sometimes rude when asked more questions). The program and activities were a little bit boring. Took us swimming and kayaking in a dirty part of the ocean. My towel got stained during the trip, and when asked for a new towel from the guide, Andrew, he refused to lend another with an excuse only one towel for one guest (although there were only 5 people in our group and they had around 40 towels on the boat). Viet Hai Village was the only fun thing on the trip. People who only stay for 1 night will not do Viet Village and the Bat Cave is really boring. I found a one-night itinerary is a bit too rushing though. The only thing I liked was the bathtub with jacuzzi inside my room by the glass window. Other than that, it was just okay and it was not a great experience for me.

Good stay. The boat itself is dated but the staff is great, very strict timeline and good Cruise Manager.
4.6
Service was good. Rooms are big and spacious. Food, cleanliness & A/C units definitely need improvement.
4.6
Overall the stay was good, the cruise has less Vegetarian food options and the rooms had no internal telephone connection.

Thanks Expedia for the opportunity to participate in this cruise 🚢. Excellent choice

Around the property was wet , the cruise was very nice great staff , delicious food and Halong Bay unique place. The only unexpected unmentioned was the transfer by boat from the terminal to the ship and back again after the cruise. Was bout 45 minutes each way on the slowest launch ever , no kidding we got passed by at least a dozen other launches making transfers . Dats it

I found two cockroaches in my room.
It was awful.
4.6
Certainty one of the nicest boats on the water... the room is gigantic with separate jacuzzi tub... food was good but the modern clean boat was the star of the show... highly recommend

Out of 600 odd options in Halong Bay we chose Era cruises. From Hanoi to Halong Bay and the cruise, everything was very well organised by Mr Duc and his team, It is an experience to remember. Team at Era cruise were so very helpful all along. The room itself was outstanding.

What amazing trip on Era, the host Duc was awesome, knowledgeable and fun, his staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was terrific form start to finish, the room we had was 5 star and the views from it were memorable

Mr. Lee and his staff went above and beyond my expectations and hospitality experience. I’m finding that in just about any facility here in Vietnam, the level of excellence is slightly degraded, but only slightly. We had an incredible, beautiful room, and despite the lack of time our experience was filled with excursions and Activities keeping us busy for the full 24 to 30 hours we were with them. I would highly recommend anybody who wants the most luxurious and immense room with a Jacuzzi bathtub to melt your trip fatigue away from, book two nights with Era cruises. I can’t recommend them anymore than I already have for the experience, and the scenery was unmatchable. Thank you again, Mr. Lee and his staff.are definitely an A1 in my book. Bravo, bravo, bravo Steven and Jinsuk. 🙌👏🙌👏🙌

I went to Ha Long Bay on 1st December with my wife and we stayed in Era Cruise for 2 days 1 night. The overall experience was very good and was worth the price we payed.
I must say that Era Cruise’s staff are remarkably skilled. We literally loved the hospitality. A special thanks to the two lovely ladies on reception at the night of 1st December 2022(Lee and Hoang), they literally walked an extra mile and helped me and my wife during the tough time. During the entire trip I saw them radiating positive vibes.
The overall cruising experience was good. The first lunch that was served was superb. However, I was amazed by the staff, they were super helpful.
Thank you for the lovely service Era Cruises! Special thanks to Lee and Hoang(Hopefully I am using the right names)

We had an amazing 2 nights on the cruise. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our cruise director Jimmy and Henry were so helpful and remembered our names! They were always so helpful with my peanut allergy telling me what I couldn’t eat and making me a nut free option. The entire serving staff was so friendly, we can’t say enough good things about the cruise. Our room was huge and beautiful. Would definitely recommend!

Staff was fabulous, cruise was incredible so glad we did the 2 night cruise. Every guests that was leaving after the one night wished they booked 2 nights. Food was very good and plentiful. 2nd day we were on the large day boot the took us around on land. Best is to wake up in bed and look out from our floor to ceiling windows at the unobstructed view

ERA Cruises provide luxury accommodation fabulous food and a good choice of activities. If anything Jimmy and staff are inclined to be over attentive constantly checking every meal and activity. Jimmy goes around to every customer personally. We had a fantastic time and I could not recommend enough definitely 10/10

Pretty much everything was spectacular but what made it so special was how well the staff took care of us. My girlfriend has a number of unusual allergies and Son, Lucky and Joy made sure everything was checked for her and alternatives brought out. The room was class and the route beautiful and quieter than some of the routes these types of tours take, making it feel more exclusive.

We opted for the 2 night, 3 day trip to Halong Bay and glad we did. It was a fantastic experience and the itinerary is very well organised whilst still giving you time to relax and take in the fabulous sceneray.
The benefit of the 2 night trip is you get further into the Bay and away from the numerous day trips, and the organised excursion to the traditional village was enjoyable and gives you an insight into the traditional way of life.
The food on board was very good with pleanty of choice, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
If you are considering a cruise and have the time, we would recommend opting for the longer 2 night trip. We were lucky with the weather and had 3 good days, but if you opt for the longer cruise it does increase your chances of having at least 1 good weather day.
We would definitely recommend Era.

Cruise starts from Hai Phòng and takes a quieter route into Halong Bay. Great as not so many boats and Hai Phòng only 2 hours from Hanoi. New operator with both boats around a year old. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. Panoramic windows in bedroom and bathroom and private terrace with two loungers. Communal areas are lovely and the staff cannot do enough for you. Very welcoming and gracious. Food good. Sit down lunch and buffet breakfast/dinner. My only criticism and it’s a small one is the top deck. Very under utilised. Limited seating and shade. On two night three day trip, we chose not to do the day excursion. This would have meant transferring to a day boat for day on Cat Ba. Instead stayed on the main boat and sailed back through the karsts to Hai Phòng (picked up and dropped off passengers) and sailed back out again. The weather is very changeable and we had a very beautiful day so wanted to maximise the time seeing the bay. The staff were lovely about our choice. We felt no pressure to join the excursion. The cruise goes deeper than many other boats into Halong so pretty quiet. Some routes we saw in the distance were incredibly busy with boats sailing directly out of harbours in Halong Bay.
