I stay in Kefalonia every year, first time staying at this hotel which did not disappoint. Free parking on the main road which is only a few steps away. They have a hamam style steam room which you can rent privately to have the whole steam room for an hour.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary in Kefalonia. The staff were super friendly and attentive, with some fantastic recommendations and created an itinerary for us! (Beaches near Zola Village, The Olive Lounge by the castle to name a few). The room was perfect and very clean. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone wanting to base themselves in the heart of the island :)

The team at The Alley Hotel were AAA+. From beach to restaurant recommendations and anything in between they were there to accomodate. AAA+ for the breakfast and the location of the hotel in Argostoli. After the beach you parked the car and were in 5-10 walking distance to a countless restaurants. The room was extremely spacious with a huge open shower. The on site gym had ever modern amenity needed for a complete workout. AA+ for beach towels every day. The bed and pillows could been more comfortable as I prefer a softer mattress but I HIGHLY recommend this hotel

We had a great stay at The Alley Hotel - the deluxe loft suite had plenty of room, appeared to be recently renovated, and also included a clean veranda with outdoor seating and a lovely view of the marina.
The staff at the hotel were all so incredibly friendly, polite and helpful - including the reception team, cleaners and restaurant staff - and were more than happy to recommend things to do during our stay.
The location is really convenient - just a few steps from the main square in Argostoli, as well as the marina-front.
Breakfast was included in the price and featured an assortment of Greek specialities alongside classic breakfast items.
Upon check-in, we were told that we each had a welcome drink, which was a nice surprise!
We also found out that the hotel loaned beach towels to its guests, at no extra cost.
Some extra special thank yous are due:
To Dora, who worked tirelessly to make sure we were happy with our breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening.
To the resident chef, who (upon learning that we were vegetarian) took it upon herself to prepare some extra special breakfast options for us each day of our stay.
And to the reception staff, who called the car hire company on our behalf after another driver scraped the front of our car overnight while it was left in a free public car park.
The hospitality we received at The Alley was outstanding, and based on this alone we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Argostoli.

Great hotel 1/2 block off the waterfront. Stayed twice at beginning and end of trip. Ask for a room on the top floor- beautiful!
Great breakfast and wonderful, helpful staff. Would definitely choose to stay again if we are ever in the region.!

Great location in Argostoli, good breakfast, large rooms, bathroom decor in the corner suite we stayed in was a bit dated. But the shining star is the service we received from the lovely Lilia on reception who was so helpful with all our queries! Would return on the basis of that alone, though would probably try one of the loft suites next time.

I couldn’t get the air conditioning to work and tried calling the front desk, but there is no one to answer the phone at night. It was very hot and difficult to sleep.

We travelled to Kefelonia the week before Easter and picked the hotel completely out of the blue and it was fantastic, lovely room and decor was amazing (loved it) only one negative why supply a kettle with no cups or spoons to make a drink ?
They were busy laying new stones in street outside and can imagine it is going to look very nice. also a perfect position for main square with lots of restaurants and the front with more restaurants and bars .

When we checked in I’ve discovered that they switched the room I ordered which was with a balcony with partial sea view and a king sized bed to a room with a tiny window to a construction site and a queen sized bed. When I asked to switch to the room I’ve ordered the receptionist told me that there’re no other rooms and that’s the only option she can provide at this time with no offer of any compensation. She only told us that she could cancel the reservation and we’ll need to find a new hotel at 7 PM which is not a practical option. We stayed the night in the room which also had a really annoying green emergency light running all night and of course when we find out about it, the reception was already closed. Worst service we had ever.

Everything we needed. Close to main square and good choice of restaurants. Costa Costa beach was recommended by the receptionist and is a short bus ride away in Lassi. Lassi can be reached on foot (approx. 2km).
Compass bar located on the corner overlooking quay is very good also serving coffee. Would also recommend Captains Table for food, a short wall to towards the ferry.
Staff very accommodating.

I have a Gluten and Lactose intolerance and a nut allergy and the staff were so helpful as they asked me what food I wanted to eat and they went out and bought it for me and I didn’t pay a dime for the inconvenience. The staff were always happy to help and show you the best places for daily excursions. I could not ask for a better hotel than this!

I had booked a delux suite months in advance with a water view as a splurge. When I checked in, my room was not available but they didn’t tell me this. I discovered it when my room did not the king bed or the marina view I’d prepaid for. When I went downstairs to inquire about it, I was initially told my the staff they’d downgraded my room because the rate Id pay for was “too good of deal.” Then they told me they’d overbooked the hotel and my options were stay in my room or cancel all together. I opted to stay because my room was nice but I inquired about a refund to account for the difference in room rates. The receptionist told me tomorrow I could speak with the management. She stressed I could not move to my prebooked room during my stay due to other bookings. The next morning, I was told the manager was not available but the receptionist apologized for the night priors events explaining a previous guest was sick and extended his stay occupying my room. Management refused to refund the difference of room rates and became quite nasty. I involved Expedia who also struggled in dealing with them. The staff were very hostile and for the rest of my stay, I was uncomfortable. I tried to book another hotel but the island had limited availability. Sad. The hotel is actually very nice but the manager particularly ruined my stay and made it my worst guest experience to date across the globe. Book elsewhere. There are other nice, modern hotels with rain showers.
