Lovely hotel in an unusual location, if uiu stay make sure you eat in the black iron, ⚫️ amazing steaks at a reasonable price, rooms were comfy, staff were very helpful, had a coupe of cocktails are dinner made by Ella, thanks for being a perfect host 😁

Breakfast was superb especially the poached eggs. Large comfortable rooms.
4.4
the room was ok but at 6am you can hear every word of the staff starting work so not great.
restaurant is clearly understaffed but the two staff were great. food was not hot and steak very tough. breakfast fantastic. told I would receive receipt by email for meal, still not arrived.

Nice hotel traditional clean and very friendly

Very warm welcome by Niko, nice to be in such a nice surrounding. Bar was well equipped, bed was very comfortable and the eggs florentine were delicious!

Cons
Very noisy - bar on ground floor played music via speakers into the garden constantly from 3pm until ? (we went to bed with earplugs in so not sure what time it finished). Doors were paper thin so you could hear anyone in the corridor.
No safe in room
Surrounding park didn’t feel safe
Pros
Lovely staff
Good tea/coffee selection in room
Nice toiletries

Bar staff at the function right at the end was roudy and really rude. Paying £255/Night for that they should be more careful.
Breakfast was cold pile of toast and warm tea water, not even in 1 Star you would get that.

Lovely hotel and wonderful team.

Hotel receptionist was extremely polite and helpfulful. Hotel clean and well maintained.

I love this hotel! I regularly stay in Leicester for work and this has become my hotel of choice! The hotel is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. The team are friendly and helpful, and Nabeela is an asset to your team!

Lovely clean property with good size rooms and very nice staff. Can't ask for more.

We stay on our way to Peak District and choose to do a park run in the morning. The park run is in the same park which is 1 minute outside which is amazing. The front desk staff is excellent, when we check the time of breakfast, they told the kitchen to make sure wait us to get our breakfast- in the end we back on time but still very caring service.

Great stay, albeit briefly. Lovely setting and great food. Highly recommended

Gone downhill drastically over the past few years. Wallpaper peeling off, chairs worn

Hotel was terrible in all area of its business. Do not stay here.
ROOMS were shabby and not worthy of the boutique hotel price charged. There was a strange smell in the corridors and rooms akin to urine and disinfectant. The bathroom was cheap, poorly install and smelled of damp as a result of poor extraction.
CLEANLINESS was at the bottom of the to-do list of this hotel. Generally untidy and dirty throughout. A strange system of room servicing whereby they would leave clean towels on the dirty carpet floor outside the door each morning. Policy was not to service the room until 3rd night for green reasons but a cost cutting exercice.
STAFF were generally unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. There were countless examples of interactions that left us suprised, from poor check-in to terrible service at breakfast. One morning,we were told to vacate the breakfast room so that they could set up for another event. However, we were still within 7am to 10am breakfast service period. On the weekend, they would not serve Lunch and there was no alternative to eat. We had to drive to the city centre.
SERVICE was generally poor throughout the stay. I heard staff make numerous disparaging comments about guest. They seemed poorly trained with little to no supervision or visible management.
Overall, I wish i had booked City Centre Hotel. I did not feel safe in the area at all.

bed had a ruined matress which was uncomfortable but lovely hotel and nice restaurant (which would be better if they did not have music so loud when only a couple of people in there)

Had a lovely Cosy double room and it was perfect. Breakfast was included which I hadn't expected and it was great without being too much best of all it was fresh and hot! All staff were friendly and open wish I could have stayed longer!

I stayed one night for a business trip. The hotel is lovely, really nice decor. The staff are all fantastic, very professional & friendly. I ate in the restaurant - the steak was delicious & the bar is a lovely place to sit & relax, the barman makes a great Cosmopolitan. The only downside for me was the memory foam mattress I found a bit hard as I'm used to a softer one at home but I will definitely stay there again
4.4
BEWARE - I booked double dulex room. They gave me a tiny room with barley any space to walk. Nothing dulex about it. This is the SECOND time this has happened. It’s a shame as Winstanly is a great place with great views and walk. Staff are externally friendly because, They are giving you a rubbish room

Stayed at Winstanley House for a wedding. Rooms we’re spacious which made getting ready easy, our bathroom was also massive, with a separate shower & bath. Beds are huge & very comfy. The grounds are beautiful, a perfect setting for a summer wedding. Would definitely stay again.

Great quite boutique hotel, excellent service from check in to check out. Would definitely stay here again

The room was filthy. The coffee machine was absolutely dirty. The door handles were clearly not wiped properly as someone else’s booger was on there. Noisy neighbours who partied till 3am even after complaining. Had the worst sleep. Pillows were like rocks. And when I went to complain I had a very rude receptionist who spoke to me like I was below him.
Would never stay there again!

Amazing hotel, lovely kind and friendly staff. Nothing was to much trouble. Our T.V didn’t work properly. So the gentleman moved us rooms. Which ended up being an upgrade to a bigger room. Which was amazing. Breakfast was amazing. We will be back.

What I loved about this unique Hotel was the grand drive through the park grounds. The standard of the Hotel was the Best, keeping to the original as much as possible and bringing modern together as needed.

Honestly, I could not say enough positive comments about this incredible hotel. 10/10 for EVERYTHING!!! The room was huge, comfortable, luxurious & spotlessly clean. The guy on reception was a delight (I wish I got his name).
The grounds are beautiful & Braunstone park is a fabulous place for an after breakfast walk. Talking of breakfast, just look at the photos! So tasty & huge! And a lovely selection of pastries & cereal too.
The grounds at the back are stunning with a beautiful old tree & swing.
It cost less than £10 for an Uber into town too.
Thankyou & see you very soon
