Perfect locatoin for your visit at Perhentian Islands! Very clean, nice staff, good breakfast and lovely view looking over Long Beach. Wifi worked well and so did aircondition and water. Very very happy with our stay. Magical.

We paid quite a bit for this hotel. They have a very nonchalant attitude. Room was dusty, drawers had a layer of dirt in them. Refrigerators were not working. Shower was loose in the bathroom. They didn’t have enough towels for use. The staff are not efficient at cleaning the rooms. They actually lied to us saying they were cleaning our room and made us wait downstairs and when we went upstairs the room was not even touched. The breakfast was average. The dining stuff are very slow to take and deliver on orders. Long Beach is overcrowded.

Sewer smell in the lobby and outside sitting area. Hotel food was not great. The location was beautiful, and incredible snorkelling right on the beach in front of the hotel.

We’re grandmas who stayed for 2 nights only. We’re not trying to find the perfect resort nor looking for imperfection in one. But this was the 2nd most expensive resort on Long beach, hence it should be cautious with quality. Most guests’ reviews were good on staff friendliness, true. Criticism on breakfast, true. They seemed to be serving breakfast befitting for more affordable hotels. Room was clean but our bottled water, coffee/ tea replenishment was missed.Location- 2 mins walk from a chaotic jetty. Restaurants nearby are not that affordable to local tourists but quality acceptable. Activities- run by 3rd parties e.g. kayaking are too expensive for local tourists. Snorkeling was sheer disappointing. Quality of coral reefs: not as great as expected.

Bedsheet was smelly.Requested to change but still the same, they even leave the smelly bedsheet on the floor.Didn’t change after room service as well. This is noticeable when doing room service, I wonder how they can just leave it like that. Well trained

staff very friendly and attentive. breakfast poor and covid-19 sops not followed. strictly. lift broken on numerous occasions during our stay.

- Cleanliness issue: no place for fresh water shower in front of hotel, so many sand and wet in the lobby, escalator.- Room cleaning came very late, came to my room 5pm.- Very poor breakfast.- No prepare the room when I check in.

We had an amazing stay! I love their saltwater pool, the view was spectacular, nearby the Long Beach jetty which was convenient for us. One can snorkel just around the corner to the hotel and there are abundance of beautiful marine life. We booked the 2x Ocean Deluxe rooms and the view is gorgeous; comfy beds, clean room, water pressure is good and free snacks from the minibar. Mimpi is one of the few hotels in Perhentian Kecil which has 24-hour electricity hence the price tag. But it's worth it! However, there was a hiccup during our checkout, the reception guy insisted that we have not paid for our rooms; although we said we paid upfront. I had to dig out my bag to show him the receipt as proof we paid using a debit card upon checking in. I was taken aback by the way he insisted that we are in the wrong, in a cold, unfriendly & accusing manner, I did not expect such a treatment especially from a 4-star hotel staff. Mr Arif during our checking in was friendly & nice; only that particular guy during checkout was rather unpleasant. Other than that, we had a good stay at Mimpi Perhentian :)

The rooms are really nice but the breakfast was very disappointing. The smell of wee in the bathroom was very off-putting and the sewage leek outside was nit pleasant.

The Mimpi hotel is located on one side of 'Long Beach'. It has spectacular view of the bay, though it lacks a proper beach front since it is perched on the rocks. If you want to sit at the beach you have to use your own towel and/or borrow a chair from the adjoining hotel (Bubu). Rooms are clean, and staff is friendly and accomodating. Food is the low point of the hotel. From the breakfast (cold and very disappointing) to the lunch menu and food quality. We ate one time at the hotel and there-on took all our other meals at other venues.

Hotel in nice place, and if you get good room you have beautiful view on the bay. Thay have amazing staff in Diving Centre (Benny, Sara) However very low quality of breakfast, stuff at reception was not too supportive, lift did not work for 3 days, no hand soap in bath (unacceptable during Covid-19 time)

Only one elevator at the hotel. Room service staff brought a non working iron.Buffet breakfast not up to expectations. The dining table is not set properly during breakfast i.e. guests need to get cutlery themselves napkin, fork and spoon, coffee/tea cup etc

The location is wonderful. It was a beautiful view and close to the pier so that we didn't have far to go with our luggage getting off and back onto the boat to and from the mainland.

The very best is it's the nearest to the jetty. The staffs are friendly and helpfull. The room is pleasant however with 6 person in a room with one bathroom causing a bit uneasy to us. Overall its ok but if there is a small gym, it would be nice.

Upside - rooms are nice, staff are friendly, view is amazing. Downside - shower head is probably a little too high up, rooms are a little dark at night and late checkouts are charged at MYR15 per hour. Food can be improved (a little salty) and they don’t serve alcohol here. The outside of the property is a tad dirty though.
