We had a wonderful stay here! Love the back garden and restaurant, and the young ladies who checked us in, mixed us cocktails and cooked our food were hardworking and sweet. The friendly owners checked frequently to make sure things were good. Great location. Not fancy or high end, but absolutely worth the money to stay here. Note - resort next door has a dance party every night until 10-11 pm and it is loud.

Great people, we enjoyed staying here. Just a short walk to a beautiful beach with an active nightlife.

My room was large and extremely clean. I had plenty of room and a patio area to enjoy. I was disappointed that there was no microwave, no way for me to heat leftovers or any food purchase. The room does have a mini-fridge. Great if a microwave isn't an issue for you. I enjoyed my stay but will probably be staying elsewhere next trip.

The host couple has given us excellent service and helped with booking taxis and tours. better or more personal service would probably be hard to get anywhere else, live music on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday very nice atmosphere with food and drinks. For those who travel a little more spatically, we strongly recommend this accommodation.

The hotel is a solid small local hotel. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The on site outdoor restaurant is very pleasant with good food. The owner-manager is on site, personable and always helpful. I would return without hesitation.

Overall great experience! Close to really good restaurants and the beach. Clean apartment. It is unfortunate that the service was not very professional. The waitresses and manager were mean to us not very professional otherwise it was great.

The property was great for staying around day time but too noisy at night because resort next to it has concerts every night. One issue I had was there were a lot of mosquitoes in the hotel property and I encouraged the staff to put nets on every window or a mosquito repellent around the outdoor table so mosquitoes won’t bite anyone when dining.

Ok. First off I don't know how anyone could give Marcos and Magdelina anything but 5 stars. They are both fluent in Spanish, English and several other languages which made everything very easy. When I wanted to practice on my Spanish Marcos would speak with me in Spanish and when I wanted to speak in English we spoke in English. If you read the other reviews, some people were confused about where they were and reviewed this place in error. I was traveling solo in the Dominican Republic as a single woman and I was slightly worried before arriving, but the second I walked into the garden late at night to check in - all my fears melted away. The family was sitting having a casual conversation with guests and the kids were playing on the ping pong table. They welcomed me like family. The most gracious couple I have ever met. In addition to being met by Marcos and Magdalena I was also met by a friendly dog which made this feel even more like home. As far as my room went, everything was clean, very spacious, had air conditioning in the bedroom, a mini fridge and some snacks and drinks in the minibar. I settled in immediately. I also ate dinner there every night because the food was so amazing! They have four different menus to choose from, including Dominican food, Caribbean and even Polish food. All of which was absolutely delicious. The service was incredible and it was a true experience that I will never forget. I even got to play air hockey with the kiddos! I almost don't want

Very pleasant overnight stay at this bed and breakfast. Love the backyard with all the plants and flowers. Everything was very clean. Very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Felt safe. Lots of people out walking. The owners, Marcos and Magda are very nice. Food was excellent. We had dinner that afternoon. The polish dishes were delicious. Breakfast was good. Nothing too fancy but authentic. Our family enjoyed our stay.

Marcos, Magdalena and Angel were great! The hotel is eco-friendly with very spacious rooms, delicious breakfasts, and great service. Very close to the beach and great restaurants. The streets can be loud at night with music and parties but the rooms are quiet. We loved our stay at the Riviera and would definitely go back.

They Property was very Clean and Easy to access! Close to Lio Beach, Great Breakfast, and mostly everything you need was in walking distance. The Owners of the hotel are very respectful and treat you like others would want to be treated. Only reason no 5 Stars is because Hot Water in large Suite never worked and shower never had enough water or worked properly. Also not enough small towels in bedroom. Also I should had mentioned it to owners but security Haitian guy invaded my space and privacy as if he was the police when I had my friend visit me. It was a little scary and uncomfortable. Hopefully they will train him to not follow people around who is on vacation and is spending their hard earned money for privacy and efficiency. Finally other than that once again the owners were very nice and pleasant and deserved four stars for their great establishment. They also made sure I went on nice adventure and tour at a good price and arranged my airport movement back to the United States without spending so much money. They speak good English if you from US. Most importantly they made me feel at home and you must try the Dominican Breakfast it was delicious. I would definitely recommend people to stay if here you don't want to spend so much in Hotel expenses and it's clean because most of my money went toward fun. Thanks for making my vacation and wonderful time. Dennis

The owner is exceptionally available, always willing to assist his guests. He just can not get money (rsrsrsrs), but everything we need he's got. It has a restaurant that serves fair and quality meals. Excellent value for money !!!

AMAZING stay, would recommend it to any of my friends (or anyone, period!). Marcos and Magda are the best and made us feel super at home here. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are comfortable. Marcos and Magda also are amazing cooks, and the included breakfast and the dinners are incredible. Best yet, Marcos and Magda are very understanding of the dietary restrictions for Americans traveling in the DR. They let us purchase huge jugs of water for our room so that we didn't have to keep buying plastic water bottles, and they made sure to wash all of their produce in their restaurant with bottled water so that we could eat it. It was the only place we felt safe eating! But that didn't bother us, because the food is really delicious. Marcos even grinds his own ground beef and makes fresh passion fruit juice daily from the fruits growing on his property! Plus they are truly the kindest, loveliest people. And the property is beautiful! 10/10 recommend.
