The hotel itself is fine but be prepared for sticker shock on parking, $47 with valet or $40 across the street or if you are lucky the few Metered spots next to hotel (free from 7 pm till 8am next morning if there are no scheduled activities in the area.)

The reviews about the hotel declining are accurate. It was 9/10 when i booked 4 weeks ago and dropped to 7/10 in just those few weeks. Ibheard the restaurant had a fire, then lost liquor license. The lobby althoigh beautiful is scarce of customers, staff, and goods. There is an empty bar and a quiet restaurant that is supposedly open but i never saw a person there. The staff of the hotel are very kind and seem to care but the room was not very clean and the drains have a wierd odor. There is basically zero water pressure. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Its easy to tell that a good amount of money went in but its on its way out now. There is a loud club across the street and cars doing donuts in the intersection outside at 2am. The worst part is one of the valet wrecked our car. Artur was great and helped us all weekend. The guy when we were leaving though backed it into a pole or something. Completely tore through the bumper to the frame. No manager on staff. He gave me all his info and was very apologetic but im still waiting to hear from the hotel so i can file a claim.

My stay was okay. The room was nice and the staff was nice as well but there was a problem.
My room was not cleaned after our first nights stay. Although I made housekeeping and front desk aware that I wanted my room cleaned. So I not only had to make up my own bed but didn’t get any new towels.

My husband and I had stayed here once before for one night while on a road trip. Although we were not super happy with our room last time (odd smell), we decided to come back because the rooftop pool and bar were great, as was the downstairs bar and restaurant. We wanted to stay here to be able to relax by the pool for our one evening there, and have some good food and drinks without having to get out into the city as we had been driving all day. Upon check in we were informed that the pool was closed, and were both hotel bars and the restaurant. NO pool, NO food or drink options whatsoever. That was the entire reason we chose to stay here, and created a huge inconvenience for us to then have to leave the hotel to go find dinner somewhere, when all we wanted to do was relax before getting back on the road the next morning. Additionally, the room was filthy. Huge clumps of dark hair all over the bathroom including stuck to the shower wall and all over the floor, as well as dark hairs in the sheets and comforter. If I had realized this before we were forced to leave for dinner and then return to the room late, we would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. I feel that the advertising for this place was a complete scam, as if the hotel chose to close down ALL of its advertised services they should clearly state that so people are not lied to when they book and pay for a hotel expecting one thing and getting another. Could not be more disappointed with the stay here.

The hotel was beautiful at first glance but up close there were some not great elements. There was hair in my shower and it wasn’t cleaned very well. The hotel bar and restaurant were closed for the entire duration of my stay but it was close to so much and all the staff was very friendly and inviting. Overall decent stay if the cleanliness was better.

Staff was excellent, had a great time

Super sad the rooftop bar was closed
But it was a lovely stay
Loved the exposed brick and huge green shades

There is no self parking at the hotel. Local parking on the streets with meters. Hotel provides valet parking for $40.00 a day.
Area around hotel dimly lit. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are not easy to find. All restaurants in hotel were closed for maintenance.
Would not recommend.
3.9
Love the location and room decorations. Tip to visitors that you can park across the street or use valet parking.
3.9
My stay was good but the parking was expensive

Wonderfully beautiful old hotel that was walking distance to the Arch, Busch Stadium, shopping and many different restaurants. Accommodations were great with modern rooms and comfortable beds. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

I think the rooms in this hotel are fantastic and wanted to catch baseball game. Stay in town. Listen to some blues music after the game and this place was priced incredibly well. A ride from the hotel to the ballpark on left was six bucks.
The pool is still open but as for food in the actual hotel, don’t expect it come here for the value Price the room compared to something like the Westin where it’s almost 300 bucks a night.

Such a gem of a hotel! I’ll start by saying, I did get lucky and found street parking next to the main entrance of the hotel and only paid $8. The receptionist Tequila was not very welcoming, but that’s fine, just give me my key and I’m good. The room was spectacular, great size, high ceilings, huge windows with a view to the city. Great styling of the room, felt so modern chic. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was incredible. All around, just amazing. Didn’t get a chance to view the pool, although the pictures look incredible. One thing I didn’t care for, is that you need to use your room key every time you use the elevator, and it’s not ideal when you’ll be hosting in your room. But I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

The experience at this hotel was quite interesting. When we got there we had booked a family suite but they didn’t have one, they “upgraded” us to 2 rooms we were told joined, they had no door to connect, so we had 3 people in one room and 3 in a completely different room. They had us on a high floor and the fire alarm went off saying to use the stairs, my husband is disabled and not able to go down stairs. We got down one flight when we found out it was a mistake, no fire. Very scary! The room was clean and the roof top pool is nice.

The rooms are very spacious. The service from valet was amazing. The kids loved the rooftop pool at night.

"The Last Hotel" is my go to spot when i travel to St. Louis.
I love it specifically because it was privately owned.
I see it has went corporate and hasnt turned over yet.
There are a couple of old employees eho stayed and it was great to see them.
I hope it works out fpr everyone.

The room itself was great. Clean, super comfortable bed and a nice relaxing layout. We were disappointed to see that all of the food and beverage options were closed. Multiple bars, restaurants and obviously room service were unavailable resulting in a lot less amenities than we had initially planned for. We were able to enjoy the pool deck but there were some things missing there as well, pool towels, staff and even just basic cleanliness measures were not in place. Trash was overflowing, chairs and tables remained dirty after use. Overall just sad to see such a beautiful space neglected. I hope a new manager comes in soon to do a much needed refresh.

Very unique hotel. Very nice staff. Bed was firm. Very clean. Only thing is parking is hard to find later in the day.
3.9
Listing images are very misleading. Avoid if you are traveling with family and young children. Thought I was going to pay extra for a nicer place, but huge mistake. In very rough area and hotel amenities were lacking. Place looks like it is about to go out of business.
3.9
Quiet, clean and convenient historic hotel in the middle of downtown. Would stay there again.
3.9
The hotel is pretty and the room and bed were comfortable. The employees are nice and accommodating but we were a bit disappointed at how early the rooftop area closes and that the rooftop bar and hotel restaurant areas featured in the photos were not operational as these were a couple of reasons for choosing this hotel over others. The view from up top is very nice but the area downtown and streets where we parked do not feel safe.

I want to thank Brittany the front desk , she is amazing , kind and deserves some type of bonus. The services was excellent , she went way and behind. Always smiling and just a great person! Orlando , also is very kind and hard working person. Goes out of his way to open doors and continuity smiling. Great people for sure. We have stayed in some expensive hotels , the people make this hotel enjoyable

I loved the rooftop area at this hotel.

I really like the pool area

The room was a nice size and comfy. No pool bar or restaurant. They are all
closed.

Absolutely don't book this hotel. Go to 21c around the corner instead. The Last Hotel shouldn't even be a last resort for anyone, go anywhere else instead. No amenities, no bar, restaurant was closed. Thumbs down.
3.9
Non of the bars/Restaurants were open, waited 4 hours to get in to check in room, no towels at the pool
3.9
This hotel has the potential to be pure perfection! The rooms are spectacular. The location was walkable to many attractions and local pubs/restaurants. They are under new management so they have to wait to get the liquor license switched to the new owners, but otherwise, I have every intention of returning in the future.

We were so excited to stay here. Upon arrival, we realized that the area around the hotel has gone downhill and seems unsafe to be in. We walked home from a Cardinals game, and encountered lots of homeless, a high speed chase, and abandon feeling streets.
The hotel was lacking cleanliness and we had stains all over our carpet in the room. The bar and restaurant were closed and the lobby area was disheveled and unkept. We had booked 2 nights, but after staying the first night, we packed up and got our money back for the second night and found an alternative place to stay.
Don’t be fooled by the photos online!

Booked the property for the “luxury” part of the hotel. However, when we arrived, the pool bar was closed, and the main bar in the lobby was closed. This was NEVER posted in the description, and was not disclosed prior to, or once, the reservation was made. The only “luxury,” was that there was a SMALL pool on the roof. The area surrounding the hotel is extremely vacant! The closest thing to do, with respect to tourism, is a restaurant a block away, the Gateway Arch (a good walk away), and Busch Stadium. Very disappointed in the rating for this hotel, and the lack of communication of what was under refurbishment. They SHOULD offer some refund on this booking for lack of transparency.

The valet employee, Arthur was great at letting us know the valet parking was full upon arrival. He informed of us two close lots and the fact that street metered parking was free after 7pm-Sunday. The employee upon check in was not very friendly. She didn't see that excited or to care that we were event checking in. Our room had bits of food particles on the floor and other trash under the bed and in the cabinet above the safe, a lot of the towels and linens had stains, the tub had hair that hadn't been clean, the hallway on the 3rd floor had some trash pieces here and there and could have used a good vacuum. We discovered both bars had been shut down. We never received an email about this. This was an amenity were looking forward to when we booked the hotel 10 months prior to our stay. The lady that checked us out just took the room key. I asked if I could pay cash and she said no. I also wanted to confirm that I had paid since the check in process didn't confirm it. They just ran my credit card for incidentals. I asked for the total so I knew how much I paid to be sure we weren't charged for valet parking it was the total on the reservation. She said the total was on the email that could send. She verified my email and I said it wasn't correct. She said oh it must have just been a made up one that was entered when I checked in (I was never asked about an email when I checked in). So, I gave her my email and asked if I could have a receipt. She said the printer was down.

We stay for 2 nights in August. The pool was disgusting. It is tile and the grout had black algae that would rub off when you touched it, leading to murky water and black flecks in the water. Our room was clean, however, the room door opened and you could see directly into the shower, lol. No joke. So no one in and out when someone is showering unless you want a peep show. Artur with valet and all of the valet guys were the only redeeming part. Great service from them. The front desk staff were pathetic. Could have cared less, did not make eye contact and had that look of irritation all the time, even when just checking in! The bones of this hotel are so good. Management needs to work to improve many things to truly make it what it could be!
3.9
All bars and restaurants are closed due to no liquor license
3.9
Great location, clean room, however, the pool surround is ceramic tile and very slippery when wet. My husband slipped and fell and hurt his shoulder so he will be going to the Doctor tomorrow. We had to wait until we got home. Two other people also slipped and fell after him. They really need to fix that.
3.9
Great place to stay at if you’re doing things in the area. Can be difficult for parking and always go in expecting what the name says!

Im a fan of boutique hotels & The Last Hotel STL did not disappoint! Gorgeous architecture, friendly staff & HUGE rooms!! The rooftop pool was amazing!! No kids at the pool after 6. Neither bars were open. My room was on the 7th floor but the street traffic sounded like it was right outside my window. The hotel is located on a busy street so there was loud traffic until about 3AM which made it hard to get rest.

My husband and I were here for the Pink concert (August 2024) and there are definitely pros and cons.
Pros: location, design of the hotel, bed was comfortable.
Cons: check in staff acted like they wanted to be anywhere else, no valet parking (ran out of spots by 3pm on a Saturday), no hanging space in the room (they had an armor with no rod for hangers, but one hanger was just laying it it), cleanliness of bathroom, rooftop bar had no towels available for guests, rooftop bar was not open (this was no specified on the website or when booking), the restaurant was still closed (this was specified on the website).
Overall, for the price paid l would stay elsewhere. I was looking forward to staying here and was disappointed.
