My family and I had a fantastic trip, the convenience of being on universal resort and catching the shuttle to the parks was great!

Great hotel, shuttlea available to take you to city walk or the parks, pools are very nice and there is shade available.

Check in line was very long. The bedding was odd- only 2 pillows on the bed and a light piece of gauzy fabric for the bedspread. Charged $5 to accept a very small package I had sent to the hotel. Elevators were always packed, especially upon check out. Full of people with luggage and also maids with large carts so took several elevators for one to be available. The food was great and open nice and late. Laundry was great and a big help between Universal and our cruise. The shuttle was smooth and easy. Our view over the pool was gorgeous. We stayed on property for early access but it seemed like there were a million others anyway. Still worth it.

I ran into an issue were my card was charged twice for my stay, however the staff apologized and corrected it immediately. Also, I was given food vouchers to accommodate my family due to the mistake. Otherwise, the stay was great and I would come again.

We stayed for 3 nites and will definitely return. The buses to universal were super convenient. The pool was nice with a sandy area, music and pool bar. They had towels available. We loved the souvenirs cup with free refills during our stay. The arcade was very small and overpriced so we didn’t use it. They have a food area which is convenient. The food was just mediocre; not delicious but not terrible.y only concern were the kitchen staff were rude. The older lady at the omelette area was very confrontational and argued with several guests including us.

The 1st floor hallway smelled like mold/mildew. You can hear everything in the rooms next to you and above you.

Great Family Friendly Hotel! Would definitely come back again.

Family stay of five; traveled from Texas, everything was perfect except check in was a little chaotic. We had to wait 45 minutes. Everything else was amazing, pool, dining options, shuttle.

The Dockside Inn at Universal was a very comfortable hotel. We loved our spacious room and the pool area was gorgeous!

Overall we were extremely pleased and impressed with Dockside. Only thing was the bed was uncomfortable which made for a sleepless night. BUT everything else surpassed our expectations and we will definitely stay again.

Everything was good & the housekeeping staff was great.
I would encourage you to have bracelets for room keys. Keeping up with that card everywhere is a terrible!

It was a nice room, but for sure at least it would be great if it had a microwave

Very friendly staff, clean and beautiful

It’s a great location and has lots of amenities. However, it’s not a relaxing hotel. Lots of people running around, lots of noise, and restaurants are busy. So if you are looking for a convenient location as a top priority, this works great. But if you want quiet and relaxing, you may want to look elsewhere.

our stay was good, the only negative thing was that housekeeping didn't clean our room at all in our stay.

WHAT YOU GET FOR OVER $300 A NIGHT
No valet and charged valet prices to self park
No bellman to help with luggage upon arrival
No room service
No food service or servers at pool
Understaffed pool bar with wait times exceeding 20 minutes for a drink
Can’t have door dash, Uber Eats delivered directly to room, must pick up in the lobby
Can’t charge to room without first pre paying and this isn’t told at check in

Everyone was wonderful, room was clean. Beds had thin blankets and could hear everything going on in the hallway at night, even with a noise machine next to my head. We did only stay one night so may have eventually gotten used to it. Other than that was nice.

Great hotel with lots of amenities.

We understand that it is a value resort but a few littke things could make it a lot better. 1. Move the smoking area. We were in tower two and had to walk through the smoking section in the outdoor area. 2. Make the pool area more fun. Every little toy ball someone tried to play with was whistled at and made to remove. 3. Add some kind of closer food option for the pool or make it more convenient to get food. 4. Better cleaning of the room. The beds were made, towels restocked, and coffee restocked but floors were not cleaned and dirty towels not removed.

Hotel was perfect for families. Two bedroom suite slept up to 6. Pool area was nice and not crowded. The onsite Starbucks and Pier 8 Market had great selections for food. Shuttles ran consistently, we never had to wait from the hotel or from Universal.

Dockside was awesome! We stayed 5 days. Check in was smooth, the staff was very helpful. The shuttle service to Universal Studios made our vacation even better. The early access benefit was such a gift and allowed us the jumpstart we needed to enjoy the rides ahead of the long lines. Despite the crowds the ride to & from the parks was always smooth. The 2 bedroom was just right for our family of 4 (2 young adult kids). We were on the top floor in Tower One wonderful view of Volcano Bay and fireworks at night. And of course the pool (also great!) The food was sufficient from the Market cafeteria downstairs and was really helpful when the weather started. We didn’t have to leave the resort but for little things. Ride shares had their own lane right in front of the resort. We were walking distance from restaurants, other entertainment, shopping etc; even when the elevators became packed the wait wasn’t too long and the ride up was pretty fast. Gated parking area and garage both a plus. Overall lovely place, family friendly and safe. We will definitely be back.

Overall, the hotel was great! I could have checked out with a text message, but I didn't have any reply about check out, so I needed to go to the reception.

This hotel is good for a few days at Universal, but I would not want to stay here for a full week. The room is small but worked well for our family. The food is okay, not great, but lots of choices for picky eaters. The service was very good - the hotel staff kindly ran a first aid kit up to our room to handle a minor injury. Everyone was nice.

Overall, the Dockside resort was very convenient for our trip. The buses to the parks are very convenient and the amenities at the hotel were great as well. My only complaint would be that the door is thin between rooms and can let a lot of noise from the neighboring room in.

Hotel is close to universal parks and there are shuttles every 10mins till 1am. You get early entry for staying here. Lobby was spacious with plenty seating and hang out places. Restaurant was good with plenty of choices and there are restaurants in walkable distance (10mins). Rooms were small with little storage space. Pool is big with a sand beach
4.0
The resort was at capacity, and there were many school groups staying there which made the elevators and other common areas challenging at times. Breakfast opened at 7am, which seems awfully late, and pair that with the first shuttle to the Universal parks starting at 7am, meant that you either went without breakfast or had to get the day prior. The facility was nice and modern, some areas in the room were already showing their age (it’s only been open for a few years). We would likely not stay at this property again.
