We booked 2 nights because the pet fee was waived in the offseason. Since other ammenities, like the pool, weren't available, we thought this was an wonderful alternative. Excellent location, area felt safe and it was easy to walk to shops/restaurants. Beach and boardwalk were convenient and clean. Loved that the rooms did not have carpet. Carpet is gross in heavily used spaces.

It was wonderful however the lights on the outdoor patio, we rented an oceanfront room, stayed on ALL night so sitting out there trying to enjoy the ocean and just relax was not very relaxing as the light was overhead and very bright. Also you had to keep the curtains closed which defeats the purpose of an oceanfront room. I called downstairs to see if there was a way to turn it off and the front desk said they would “check with engineering” but never got back to us as if they were just appeasing us. The other thing was we went to the bar for a drink and possibly an appetizer and even though there were 4 staff behind the bar and only one other couple at the bar, we waited for quite some time to be acknowledged and even then had to wait - not sure what everyone was doing but it felt like they were just young “friends” hanging out but no really worried about guests. The decor was BEAUTIFUL! The location can’t be beat and the view (during the day) was amazing! I would definitely recommend to friends and would stay again.

We visit Wave resort once a year for our birthdays. It’s always clean & comfortable. There are a number of good restaurants around the resort. Highly recommended this resort!

2nd time staying at the Wave and it was very good. Luna at front desk was awesome upon check in! Oceanfront room is a bonus. Hotel is showing a bit of minor wear but overall excellent.

Room was not what it was in the pictures. We complained about the room and we got a lesser room than what we paid for and were not refunded the difference. Pool was dirty and the pool bar was closed or bartender was too busy texting to help anyone. Restaurant down stairs had all dirty tables. Cleaning staff was very loud and banging around every morning making tons of noise starting very earlier and there were weddings and the music was soo loud we couldn't sleep. Balcony chairs were also wire chairs that were cute but very uncomfortable. not worth the $1000 a night price tag. Ocean palace down the street is quieter, nicer, more comfortable and a lot cheaper. Lots of fee were add to the bill too, making it even more expensive.

Horrible staff. Very rude. Extremely understaffed. Promised us a check in at 4pm. Multiple families with children were crowded in the lobby trying to get a checkin. We got checked in closer to 5. One bell man. At check out there was no bell man at all we had to bring multiple suitcases with kids down ourselves. Staff is very un-accomadating and act like they are doing you a favor for everything. Everything was filthy. Overflowing garbage at the pool. Trash everywhere and no staff to clean it up. No pool service you have to walk over and get food and drinks yourself and then clean up after yourself but its not possible because the garbage bins were overflowing so people were stacking garbage at random spots. Beach chairs were rusty old and broken. Rooms were so tiny no where to even put your belongings away. This is not a luxury experience.

This is my third time staying at the Wave! The rooms are even nicer than i remember them being. They’ve also added some on site dinning options that are pretty good. The best hotel at Pier Village!

2.5 star hotel with 5 star prices. Room was not ready until after 5 pm (and still dirty). They would not grant any form of a late check out post 11 am (maybe a positive as we were happy to leave). Terrible front desk service. Wouldn't return if they charged half of their rates. You should save your money and avoid.

Beautiful hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. However, you seem to cater specifically to the orthodox Jewish population and wedding guests leaving not as comfortable a stay for those not in the former two categories. For example, the in house bagel store was a nightmare - so crowded with a poor way to pay and get service. There was no breakfast place available one morning because you had closed the room for an event - there aren’t many other places to get breakfast. As a “resort” with a hefty resort fee and very expensive rooms, this is not my idea of a relaxing time.

This property is heavily overrated. For claiming to be a beach resort,they provide basic services. On Sunday of our stay, they didn’t have beach towels for the resorts customers for the whole day. The guests were left to get towels for themselves. They are not for fly at the front desk either. The swimming pool is forgot - since it is next to a bar, there are pieces of lemon, etc at the bottom of the pool. Overall, this place is overrated.

The Wave Resort is a chic and clean boutique hotel. The front desk staff was top notch as well as the housekeeping staff. The room and bathroom were spacious. We stayed an additional night to enjoy the hotel , beaches and nearby dining

The hotel was beautiful and our room was just perfect. We had a junior suite and it was everything we could have asked for, overlooking the ocean. The staff was perhaps the best staff overall compared to the staff I have stayed at over the many years I have traveled and that covers an awful lot of travel. It was always service with a smilem they answered our questions clearly and were well informed when replying on any question we asked.

Before new room which was unavailable first two night the bathroom door was too close to the bed and fell on the bed, hurt my mom. Bad experience, disappointed in sleeping quarters, nothing more nothing less, no bed bugs but bad. And of course view of parking lot. What architect designed this new hotel? Not normal unless fire hazard doors by architects cost the development of the hotel less.

I think I just discovered the best beach time in NJ, my family and I just loved everything about the Wave Resort and Long Branch in general. There are so much dining options and plenty of activities for all ages. Can't wait to return.

It was a great stay at the heart of Long Branch. We stayed over the July 4 and enjoyed the fireworks from our balcony, which was truly remarkable. The hotel is nicely decorated, cozy, clean with great views. The pool is on the second floor and has a great bar area. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A few notes: upon check-in, it would great if someone tells you about events and the pool hours, restaurant hours and a bit more info about the area. Another note about the pool - not sure how often is it cleaned as in the morning there were some flies in it, which felt a bit gross. Overall, our stay was really nice and relaxing, and we will come back for sure.

The wave resort is incredible!! Worth every dollar! Kosher restaurants all around for all meals. Starbucks across the street. Beautiful hotel!!
