Front desk extremely helpful. Only complaint were the multitude of ladybugs living in the window in our hallway that made it into our room.

The location is wonderful providing great access to downtown Cedar Falls. The staff was also exceptional. Very responsive and friendly.

The room was nice, clean and quiet. I wish I had brought a fan along since the air never got cool enough for my liking and the fan noise was non existent.

There are several places to choose from in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area but this is our favorite. It’s always really clean and the beds are comfy.

Great Hotel

The hotel property is great.
The problem here was the safety and security on the property.
We stayed at the property July 19-20 during significant worldwide technology issues. There were NO room keys available and hotel staff had to let people into their rooms every single time that we left the room. This resulted in significant delays as the hotel was near full and there was a great need for assistance in getting into the rooms. There was ONE person on staff for much of our stay--this person was not only responsible for regular front desk duties but also escorting each patron to their rooms/gym/pool/etc. The hotel couldd have had additional staff there to assist and reduce the wait for patrons but did not.
The much bigger problem was that there did not appear to be any security protocol. I was asked to provide an ID at check in but was not asked to even provided a name ANY of the times that hotel staff let me into my room. They did not ask for a list of names of peopel who were in my room to know who was authorized in the room.
The hotel staff would simply ride the elevator with patrons and ask what room they were staying in. They would then OPEN THE DOOR and let them in. There was NO method for confirming that they were actually being let into THEIR room.
This is a SERIOUS risk for both the safety of our property and for the safety of the inviduals staying at the hotel. I was appalled at the lack of security and that fact that no steps to taken to ensure safety.

We had some struggles with beds not convincingly made for us but staff corrected quickly. We had shoes left in our room. We did not have shampoo and body wash in containers. Staff was always professional and willing to correct any concerns.

Our air didnt work in the room we were in and they said they could do it down at the desk and wait an hour. After an hour it went up 2 more degrees. They then changed us rooms and the same thing happend. Couldnt connect to the internet at time and it would go in and out.

Had a little trouble with room. Temperature was pretty hot and fan and temps seemed to be preset. I asked front desk to adjust it, but didn’t happen, also the last day my door lock was broken, so I had to have staff open door for me when I needed to get in. That said, the hotel seemed super busy, and one family group was camped out in all public spaces the whole weekend like they owned the place, so I suspect that you average days/weekends the experience would be much better.

Nice property with amazing places to eat within walking distance. It was a little dirty on the balcony, but the inside was clean and cozy. Would go again.

We stayed one night. Elevator didn't work, fire department was on site, there was a tornado warning, two different staff helped with our TV that didn't work. Blinking fire lights were on in the hallway all night. We ended up changing rooms. That was an improvement! Staff was nice. Housekeeping entered room before we checked out. Room could have been cleaner. It was a disappointing stay. Facilities are nice. Downtown CF is lovely. Hope this was an isolated incident.

Room was clean but didn't like to have a hidden parrking fee at check in.

Has a small pool and no hot tub. Breakfast was good and what you'd expect for continental breakfast. Hotel was clean and neat and right on the river.

The water in the swimming pool was too cold preventing us from using it.
The sliding door between the closet and bathroom was inconvenient and not a good idea.
We were surprised to lear than parking at the hotel was not free. We learned of it when we arrived home from our on-line bank account.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE BALCONY! I spoiled myself with this stay, but it was worth it. I love my solitude and I wish more affordable hotels had balcony options as well for those of us that enjoy being alone to just watch surroundings and such
