Everything was perfect! We had the 10th floor suite, and it was the best room we’ve had our whole trip in Vietnam. 10/10

I enjoyed my stay at the Soleil. For context, I love to walk and randomly explore when on vacation. The location of the Soleil in the Old Quarter is great. It's within a 20 minute walk to Dong Xuan, the night market and the lake. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, especially at breakfast. The variety of food, both Vietnamese and Western, at breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, and they had a couple of different pillow types to choose from.
A couple of things to note about the amenities. Both the pool and the gym are more check box amenities than usable ones. The pool is very small. When I went to check it out, there were eight people there and it was too crowded to find a place to sit. As the person at reception embarassingly noted when I asked, the gym is "very basic", ie a couple of pieces of cardio equipment and some dumbbells crammed into a small room. These things didn't matter to me as I was there to explore.
One factor that did cause me to rate this hotel a 4 instead of a 5 is that my window faced a white wall that was two feet away...hahaha. I'm sure that's not uncommon with how tightly spaced the buildings are in the Old Quarter. It's just not a huge positive...lol

Loved this place. My partner and I stayed here several nights while visiting Hanoi. It’s in a great location right in the heart of Hanoi. Very walkable. The room was spotless and modern, there were bathroom amenities, housekeeping was fantastic, the bed was comfortable and the WiFi was reliable. I read a lot of reviews before booking a place in Hanoi and was glad that this place didn’t disappoint. Definitely recommend.
The staff are all really helpful - thanks to Chloe, Louis, Leo, and Jenny for making our stay great.

Reserved 2 Deluxe but got 1 Deluxe and 1 Classic. Hotel admitted the room is a Classic but it was on the 5th floor then it is considered an upgraded Deluxe, which makes no sense when all the amenties are the same as a Classic (double bed, corner bath, smaller sq ft). The Deluxe had king bed, full walk-in bath, larger footage).

Magical and awesome experience. From the wonderful reception I received from Chloe to the spa treatment (thank you Fiona) and the expedient checkout where Lucas had a to-go breakfast waiting for me, when back in Hanoi, I will choose Soleil.

I highly recommend this hotel, I hope I can come back one day. Jenny, Louis, Leo, and Adam did a wonderful job providing professional service while we stayed here.

Loved our stay. The room was luxe (balcony suite) - beautiful. Staff service was amazing - especially Mr Tom who quietly looked after our vegetarian needs each morning at breakfast. Great location and the spa was a standout - excellent service and facilities. Highly recommended!
You can hear some street noise from the room but this is to be expected in a highly vibrant and busy city like Hanoi. Didn’t affect us.

Great little boutique hotel in the middle of old town. Walking distance to everything. Room was clean and amenities were good. Breakfast (included) was excellent.

It's the most wonderful hotel.I can't speak English, but they made an effort to communicate with me even before I made the reservation.I also requested a shuttle from the airport and it was comfortable and wonderful. Even after arriving at the hotel, I was impressed by the attentiveness of the staff.
This time I stayed in a suite, and every corner of the room was wonderful and extremely comfortable.Because it faces the old town and the road, it's noisy when the windows are open, but it's very comfortable when you close them. Also, the TV was useful because it had an internet connection and I could watch YouTube.
In addition, the atmosphere of Soleilskybar was very nice, and even though I was traveling alone, I was able to take photos! It was my first time traveling alone from Japan to Vietnam, and staying at this hotel made it the best trip. Thank you to all the staff.

We had a great stay here, thanks to the amazing service of all the staff. A customer service representative, Mia, reach out to us prior to our arrival and she was incredibly helpful throughout our stay - she helped us organise airport transfers and day tours, whilst always being available for any questions or requests.

Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast buffet. Small swimming pool on the rooftop with “sky bar” attached — nice view. Decent prices. Small gym but god enough! Good spa in the basement. Nothing to complain about except the surprise fee ($10) at checkout for having broken a glass at one point during our 5-night stay.

Lovely modern hotel staff are very helpful and charming, breakfast was good our only criticism was the size of the room you could not swing a cat in them we had a king size deluxe with a window on our first visit which is quite small on our return we could only get a classic room its like a prison no window and no space to move.but overall the hotel is very central and good for getting around Hanoi.

Hotel was nice, and in a good location in Hanoi.
Rooms were clean, albeit small. As you’d expect in a city centre.
My only complaint would be the room we were given. I’d booked a king size bed and a room with a window view. We didn’t have these.

So much to do nearby. The staff and hotel are lovely. You can use this as a beautiful jumping off point in Hanoi. What a beautiful city. Can't wait to get back.
Book a food tour, you won't be disappointed. Also, visit Halong Bay and use Soleil as your departure and return point.
If I need accommodation in Hanoi again, I won't hesitate to book. Hoping to spend more time actually living there, so an apartment will work better for me.
One Note, the rooftop pool is a little chilly. Lol. However, the cocktails are nice. 😊

We liked everything, it was a great place to stay. Stayed in both suite and double room. The double room was very small. Smaller than the industry standard and other guests mentioned this as well. Breakfast was lovely and a great location too.

The room advertised in real life if much smaller than photo. No room dimensions were given. I have stayed at other hotels in this location with much bigger rooms for less money.
