This is a terrific spot - atmospheric, memorable and right in the middle of what Habana Vieja has to offer. The room was comfortable and very nicely appointed - stylish and modern. Staff was incredibly helpful and ready with lots of recommendations for where to go, and very willing to help with reservations ahead of time. For Americans who need to follow OFAC rules while in Cuba, all of the recommendations are compliant, which reduces stress considerably. The property is right in the middle of Habana Vieja, so you'll hear some noise at night - the building is hundreds of years old and right up against other buildings. This may not be to everyone's taste, but it's all part of staying in the old center of the city. Highly, highly recommended!

A 5 STAR EXPERIENCE! As Havana (and Cuba) continue to rebuild from the pandemic, AS Boutique Residences provide all the comforts we needed to enjoy our 4 day trip in Havana. EXCELLENT breakfasts and coffee, caring staff, safe and welcoming environment, refined touches and comfort. This a beautiful hotel that did not dissapoint! We'd recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to Havana. It's walking distance to all the major attractions. We felt very safe in this hotel and highly recommend!

The restored mansion is phenomenal. The staff is customer service-oriented, and communication is one of their strengths. We also booked a tour through the hotel and were very pleased. 24-hour service, security is available. Additionally, our package included breakfast, which was delicious. If you are a coffee connoisseur, you will be very pleased. I would recommend the property to anyone visiting Cuba.

Absolutely delighted with our stay! This hotel offers an exceptional experience in the heart of Havana. The rooms are superbly appointed, and the service is top-notch, deserving of a solid 5-star rating. Nestled amidst the vibrant local community, it provides an authentic taste of Havana. The hotel offers a true oasis of relaxation and luxury, which makes that this hotel offers the perfect balance. A special mention goes to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our stay. Beautiful and classy property. Good central location. It’s in Old Havana so a slight culture shock at first as a result of the mixture of gorgeous architecture and run down nature or the whole area. The hotel is immaculate and marvellous.

In the middle of our first night the electricity went off. We woke up sweaty- no AC, no fan, in complete darkness. In the morning, we were informed they were working on restoring. No breakfast obviously. We went out, came back around noon- nothing is changed. I asked for some flashlight, as it is dark like in the cave in that room. They didn't have any. We used our phones to light up the way to the bathroom. We told staff if electricity isn't back on at 4pm we will move out and to tell owners we need refund as we can't use our room. Went out again. Came back- no electricity- so we are moving out. THEY REFUSED REFUND, EVEN AFTER I TRIED REASONING WITH THE OWNER. THEIR POLICY INCL BUILDING COLLAPSE AS NO REASON FOR REFUND! Now here is the thing- being Americans we have a limited choice when it comes to hotels, we cannot use any government properties, so we chose the best possible option out of privately owned hotels, and also their best room- at close to $300/ night. You would think at that price point they will have some CUSTOMER SERVICE? They don't. Thankfully I recorded conversations and conditions, and filed a complaint with Expedia. The owner came up with all sorts of lies and made up stories too, childish if you ask me. About hotel: it is an OLD BUILDING pretending to be artsy by hanging some abstracts, that a 6yo could paint, on the walls. We could smell musky odor they are trying to hide with countless air fresheners, after AC was off. Not worth it. Not recommended.

Such an amazing hotel! The work and pride that was put into the renovation and upkeep of this place blew us away. The owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. Everything from the information, making reservations, arranging taxis, incredible breakfast and coffee! This place and the people here added so much to our first experience in Havana. This will be my place every time in this city!

Andre and his team were absolutely incredible hosts! The residence itself is beautiful inside and out - we spent a lot of time on the roof top patio, which had gorgeous views. Breakfast was amazing and every possible need/request was met. Andre arranged wonderful day tours for us, which were some of the best memories! I’m really happy I found this place for my first visit to Cuba and Habana. It was a great way to start my stay, especially getting the walking tour they provided when I first arrived, so I could get the lay of the land a little easier. I stayed for four nights and I very much hope to come back. The milieux is beautiful, not least the lovely roof terrace. The experience leaves my wanting to describe it more, but I feel I can’t do it justice with words, so I just recommend going if you get the chance.

As a solo female traveller, I will forever be disgusted by the actions of Andre, Sandy and their employees. I booked here, despite it being costlier, as I wanted a personal touch. I did not get that. Andre was controlling, passive-aggressive and hostile to the point that I would only interact with him as needed. They charge way more than the going rate for taxis and tours. Airport pickup is 70 euros, double the usual cost. Their classic car tour is not better, other companies provide an actual tour guide along with a driver at the price they charge. The driver provided by them was rude and unprofessional. He took calls, listened to and replied to voice-notes whilst ignoring me. He also shouted at a homeless woman who asked him for money. I told Andre about this and he accepted the driver’s lies and didn’t offer a compensatory tour. Whilst unwell, I was treated badly by them. I had an awful headache, amongst other symptoms so I made a reasonable request to turn down the loud music played during breakfast. The owner's response was to not only refuse but turn the volume up even though I was the only person in the restaurant and also shout at me. He then cancelled the late check-in agreed - which I needed as I was unwell. At this point I decided to leave before check-out as I no longer felt safe or welcome. After leaving, I got an email from them full of false accusations & threats. I have travelled globally and NEVER experienced such awful behaviour so cannot ever recommend.

An artful and comfortable boutique hotel in the heart of Old Havana. Delicious breakfast with the best coffee and fresh juices. The hotel’s art tour gave us access to some of Cuba’s best contemporary artists in their studios and homes. An unforgettable experience all around. We will be back.

Andre and Sandy were amazing! Their property was beautiful so close to everything. Every aspect of our trip was so thought out — from breakfast to their recommendations and assisting us with dinner reservations and more, they were fantastic. The design throughout was also stunning. They clearly harnessed the beauty of the building and updated it was gorgeous modern touches. We wish we could replicate this hotel throughout the world!

Our stay with Andre and the team was the best experience we’ve had with any hotel in the world because of the service and care we received. A special thank you for the time you took to explain to us about Havana and what to expect from our time there. The restaurant recommendations were spot on as well. Every member of staff were polite and courteous. Our room was upgraded and the quality was second to none. We were made to feel valued and that nothing was too much trouble. Excellent stay in renowned UNESCO world heritage site Old Havana. The property is fantastic with hands on mgmt who offer a lot of info and support during check in. The area is very safe and interesting - we walked the area for three days and it never got boring. I will return for an upcoming photography art project and I know I will book this accommodation again. An excellent, spirited, caring establishment. Great staff, accommodations, food, and coffee. We stayed at AS Boutique residence and were amazed by the design, beautiful atmosphere and the best service from Andre. He gave us a lot of good recommandations for what to do and restaurants/bars etc, and made us feel really welcome. The hotel kafe was definitely worth the visit, food and coffee delicious and one of us are still trying to redo the pancakes at home.. Everyone that worked there was really welcoming. If you are going to Havana, you should absolutly experience this place!

From the moment Sandy greeted us and welcomed us with a delicious coffee, we were charmed. The hotel is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. The decor is very cool and the vibe is relaxed and friendly. The breakfasts are delicious. Our ground floor suite was fab. I can't recommend this property enough! Excellent location, walking distance from Obispo. The property itself is just amazing. Breathtaking design and feels luxurious. Andre, the owner, was incredibly attentive and always on hand to provide advice or help with any requests including recommending places to visit or places to eat. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent too. If you want to stay in the heart of Old Havana then you won't find a better place to stay than AS Boutique. Actually, you'll struggle to find a better place in the whole of Havana!

AS residence is such a beautiful hotel. The esthetics is amazing. The owner Andre was phenomenally generous with his time and dining recommendations. The rooftop terrace for sunsets was so wonderful. We had a very good stay at this property. This was our first ever visit to Cuba, and there is a learning curve for Cuba that may be different for other places and our hosts here helped us to become acclimated to that before we even got there, so we somewhat knew what to expect. The residence is exactly as pictured in the photos and very walkable to a lot of hotspots within Old Havana, definitely recommend this place for first time visitors.
