nice view

Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The only concern I had was that the black and gray water from camper vans were directed to be poured into a hole in the ground right in front of the men and women’s showers. And the area where the garbage was stored was right by the main reception area, and it smelled. More than anything, I paid $13 USD for a machine load of laundry that I did by myself.

The rooms are on the second floor without elevators but very steep stairs. It is difficult to carry large luggage upstairs. Beside, the see view is not satisfying.

This is glamping at its best. The cabin was comfortable and very clean with an amazing view! The shower and toilet only a few steps away. They are also immaculately maintained and warm. The main building has a nice bar, and seating area. The restaurant serves a preset dinner menu. I did feel the food didn't justify the price but I guess you are also paying for the ambiance and convenience. The staff working there are amazing, thank you for a memorable experience!

The property was really nice and clean, however basic elements where missing, for example shampoo/body wash and shower rug/carpet. Otherwise, we had a great stay at this hotel and highly recommend it!

Incredible stay at Skårungen. We particularly loved the ability to book the private spa area - complete with sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge - the incredibly friendly staff, the amazing views in every direction, and the beautifully kept main area/lounge in the main building. Our waterfront cabin was cozy and a lovely place to stay.

Location of the hotel is beautiful. For a room w/o breakfast, it is expensive, even for Norwegian conditions.
Make sure that you do not book the "hot tub" / sauna. It is totally overpriced and not worth it at all. On top of our hotel room price, we paid 106 EUR (per person!) to have the hot tub included for all 3 evenings of our stay. The first and third evening, the water was warm, but not hot. Weather was 12 degrees outside, and since the water was not as heated as you would expect in a hot tub, we felt cold in the water. On the 2nd evening, the water was entirely cold and we paid the 35 EUR p.P. for nothing, and we had to leave again! There were also no towels in the wellness area. As there was also no room service all 3 days, we ran out of towels. Although the bedroom was big, the bathroom was tiny. About 1 square meter. Difficult to move around inside. There was also no hairdryer. It sould like a stupid thing to complain about, but in the cold windy weather, I feel cold very quickly when I walk around with long wet hair. It becomes a problem is you stay for several nights. Beds were comfortable. Unfortunately we did not have a room with Fjord view, but with view of the parking lot. Camping vans moved around before our window all the time, and the place for Campers to dump their waste was right outside our room. Overall, great location to explore Svolvaer / Henningsvaer, but expensive for the service you get.

We had an amazing stay in one of the waterfront cabins! It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom could be better designed for sure, but does the work. It advertises as a pet friendly place and it really is so. The dog was welcomed everywhere. Avoid the breakfast though- it is below average.

Amazing in every way; beautiful property; meticulously clean property; great staff, which maintained very supportive/informative e-mail communication to some follow-up questions I had. Just a great stay.

Looks like a boutique hotel but it is farm from that. In the middle of caravan area. Music from restaurant was heard to our superor room from the morning to the night. Couldn’t keep the other curtain open, becausw people were sitting outside under our window. Nice decoration in the room, doesn’t save the overall horrible experience we had.

Hei, we were super excited about this place. Photos of the room are really nice.
Room was nice too, clean but have nothing there. Bed, one armchair, side board and closet. There was no place to eat a dinner of breakfast. We have to sit on the floor like in a stoneage. No chair or table, no garbage bin , no glass or cups.
On the pictures of the room that i chose there was a little kitchen . On the reception we got instruction to use the shared kitchen outside. But there were no kettle there either, or any other kitchen equipment. I think in the covid 19 situation what we are in now, is important that people dont share kitchen or equipment, or dont hang out together there.
I think room was nice, but totally useless.
But area got 5stars from me

Good: Picturesque location by the sea. Bad: Old, rundown. Only the lobby has been renovated. The roms are dated with a coat of new paint and some new furniture to look good on the photos. The bathrooms are virtually falling apart. No hot water in the evening. No shampoo or conditioner. No fridge or minibar. For the price paid it's the worst value for money I have ever experienced.
