Great location! Close to nearby train stations. Easy registration and clean rooms!

Nice place to stay. Spacious room and secure property. Close to Tokyo station the intersection.
2.5
Great location only 10-15 min walk from the station. Plenty of room for a family of 8

Minn Ueno is VERY close to some major shopping complexes and Tokyo Station. I believe Okachimachi is the closest stop. Lots of pharmacies and convenience stores. The lobby is nice and bright, and the room size was great, go for the Family Superior room if you need anything like normal American hotels, lol. We had 2 actual double beds and 2 lofted twin bunkbeds that were very sturdy and not one of those "shaky" bunks. Very responsive to messages and emails despite lack of human presence at the desk. Good job!

Comfortable 4-night stay for 4 people in a Family Room with 2 large lower bunks and 2 upper bunks. Spacious for Tokyo with a separate sitting area, multiple closets, a kitchenette and excellent bathroom facilities. Great location within a 5 minute walk of Okachimachi station and the Ameya-yokocho market. Remotely facilitated checkin was a new experience for us but went smoothly. This was our favourite accommodation on our whole trip to Japan.
5.0
Proximity to nearby train stations and convenience store. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Like the 2 bedroom layout.

Great stay with east transportation and lots of great restaurants nearby

It was great staying at Minn Ueno. Walking distance from metro and 3 different chain of quick marts. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and water pressure in the shower was strong. Only weird thing was that there were no staff at the front desk. Staff can be called on a tablet. They answered quickly and was helpful.

Location is conveniently connected to Ueno (Skyliner) Okachimachi, Ameyoko. Check in is easy provided online pre check in is done ahead. Room size is good so we can open our luggages. Air conditioning, water pressure in shower are good enough. Room is clean equipped with humidifier. Corners of furniture are rounded so it is safer to climb upper bunk bed. Visitors could have even better experience if room cleaning could be provided on every three days instead of seven. Spare trash bag, vacuum cleaner could be provided in the room in advance & to provide a dump bin for residents to put daily trash.

Overall very good.
Almost equidistant between 2 train stations (Ueno and Okachimachi). 5-7 min walk to each.
Close to many restaurants and Family Marts.
The room itself was very clean. Carpet could use some updating/cleaning I think, but slippers provided.
Virtual concierge is not bad actually. Asking for new towels through this way by our 3 day was no issue.
The thermostat was hard to find though! And there are no instructions given on where to find it.
It’s just really hot in August and it took until our 2nd day to find the remote so we can turn down the temperature.
In our room, the remote is mounted on the wall hidden behind the drapes.
It’s a good place to stay in the Tokyo area.

We are four members family staying at this hotel for three nights , but we only have 4 towels for three nights . No room cleaning , the air conditioner quality is poor , it is not cool enough

Location is convenient

So far so good

Convenient place to stay near Ueno, across the street from Ameyoko shopping.

The hotel is cleaning, location is very convenience and it’s easy to check in by myself. But when you need someone for help, you have to go to first floor and make a Skype call.

Cleanness, quiet, and easy access to transportation.

Third time visit - we were not aware of malfunction of our digital lock while we were out on first night. Luckily nothing happened and the lock was fixed promptly afterwards.

In my previous visits to Japan, i had a go-to hotel chain that’s cheap, cheerful and has great locations. But after staying at Minn, im converted. It offers great value, the rooms are basic but are very well thought of, with great use of small spaces. Great for couples and families.

Very clean hotel with great amenities. Close to shops and train stations! Roomy enough for a family of 4. We enjoyed our stay.

The check in process was not as intuitive as they intend to be. I sent my luggage ahead of time and it took them some time to find them.
You can hear the floor above walking so it woke me up in the morning.
But overall, good space.

WARNING TO TRAVELERS - THIS HOTEL IS NOT WHAT YOU MAY EXPECT AND NOT WORTH THE COST!
1. Checkin, Checkout and all interaction at the hotel is done through a iPad to a virtual agent that is not very helpful, checking in it says to open a video call and doesn't specify what app to use on the iPad we eventually found Skype and clicked around until we got a connection.
2. We tried the virtual agent to get more pillows or at least another pillow cover and they told us that they would need to do up the room it was hard to understand and again unhelpful and not going out of their way to make it work.
3. They charge 2000 yen for every additional 30 minutes beyond checkout time, for the cost I was hopeful we could get an extra hour, not even Hilton or Mira Costa charged us for a few extra hours. Again this hotel penny pinches for everything.
4. Wifi was unusable and we constantly had to drop and reconnect could barely even start a YouTube video with the bandwidth.
5. Google maps has the wrong directions to this address but Apple maps is correct. We spent 20 minutes walking to another address in Ueno before realizing that Google maps did us dirty and was the wrong spot.
6. They have no ice machine and actually very few amenities for the price.
7. Beds and pillows were the most uncomfortable from our whole 2 week trip and getting in and out of the bottom bunk is not extremely easy, even the couches are not comfortable to sit on. It's all for looks.
Not worth the cost given amenities!

The overall experience is fantastic and more than satisfactory. The room is very spacious and clean though some parts such as the door frame of the shower room need to be cleaned more thoroughly as a thick layer of dust is accumulated there. The walking distance to Ueno station is around 8-10 mins which is acceptable. Nearby area is quiet which is another advantage to us.

Close to the Ueno shopping area and the train station. Very quiet once you walk the two streets off the main road. Large apartments that cater well for families, bunk beds, kitchen and seperate toilet and bathroom. Be aware there is no front desk checkin person, but an iPad and person you video link with. There are cleaners about that you can request things from. Like most places in Japan they will not let you check in before 3pm. They do have self storage of your luggage in a room with QR code access.

Fantastic place to stay!! The hotel is immaculate. If there’s one thing Japan gets right, it’s bathrooms. The shower is amazing. Communication is great, even though there is no live person at the front desk. Location is quiet, safe, and an easy walk to transport, groceries and coffee shops. I would absolutely stay here again!

Family room was spacious and good for family with young children.
Parking spaces are limited and coin operated parking around the area is a little expensive but are available.
Close proximity to shopping and trains

Located at residential area so wont be too noisy at night. 5mins walk to Ueno shopping street with loads of JP drug stores/souvenir shops/various of restaurants to choose. Another 5mins further to Ueno station( JR station and KEISEI-skyliner station) and it’s convenient to reach NRT airport or anywhere by JR/underground/SHINKANSEN.
Though no staff actively stay at frontdesk but there’s ipad you can still contact the staff directly or just leave a message and they will handle it while you are out.

Hotel is in an alley way street. Be sure to map it out before arrival. They offer a storage room but get there before checkout because it gets full quickly. A few things Ive learned. Also off peak for laundry is best and there are no change machine just a drink vending machine to help break in to 100 yen coins. Wish they disclosed this info beforehand - maybe I missed it.
Hotel is super close to all the action in Ueno and the train station. An ideal hub for access to Narita with the Kiesei Skyliner.
Super clean. Full digital experience. Would stay here again.
Hope this helps.

It was good

It worked well for us 2 adults and 2 kids. Small kitchen but we didn’t use at all. Check in and check out on iPad. No clerk to help with Taxi or information at front desk. No a problem for us our check in and out was all online. Coin laundry onsite 300yen for washer and 100yen for dryer. Had to dry clothes twice. Has luggage storage for before check in and after check out for free. And they also give you the option for later check out for extra 2000yen per 30min up to 12:00.

Simple and easy check in system. Very close to the subway station, making it easy to access the rest of the city. Well priced, clean. Has lots of space for a Tōkyō hotel. Coin laundry off the lobby. Lots of options for food nearby. Would stay again.
2.5
Amazingly spacious, fuss free check-in. Conveniently located.

Pretty much everything one can hope for a family room. I just wished for better ways to get my questions answered. The remote staff was not always available during the day. One can only hope to bump into one of the staff in person.

Had a comfy stay here - location was handy to severa stations and to food and shopping. Room was nice and big for Tokyo and comfortable. Only downside was hearing people walking around upstairs and the pillows being slightly firm for us, but understand that’s personal preference.
Check in process a little confusing but quickly solved with a call to the cloud reception.

best place for Family.

Close to train stations. Very easy to check in and check out. Good bang for your buck.
