3rd time but always a charm definitely one of our favorites

So if you just going use the kingBed this place is great. If you need to use the living room pull out queen it is not good. There is no sound insulation between the outside and the room. shopping cart noisy and people noisy echo in the atrium. There are birds in the rafters that seem to make noise all night.
Internet goes out about every 10 minutes for 2-5 minutes.
It is convenient to the grocery store and walkable to downtown

The rooms were good, the space most welcome. Furniture was ordinary, at best. Not one chair with arms. Kitchen and bathroom fine. Cable television not up to expectation for a $400 a night lodging.

This condo is modern and absolutely beautiful!!! It is very big! The living room could easily sleep three kids, if beds were available. Having the grocery store downstairs is such a convenience. The location is great!! This was our first time in St. John andit was perfect. There isn’t a view, but this condo is great!!!! I would highly recommend staying here!!
4.5
Spacious, modern, and comfortable. Very convenient that there's a deli restaurant, full grocery store, drug store and more in the Marketplace complex. Also, there's parking and an elevator. It's an 8-10 minute walk to most places in Cruz Bay. Would stay again.
4.5
The location was convenient and there was a great deli, coffee shop and grocery store on site. Beautiful, huge bathroom. The furniture was definitely showing wear and tear though.
4.5
The units at MarketPlace Suites are very nice and super clean. However, I did not like the location very much. Although it is walking distance to the restaurants in Cruz Bay, I did not feel particularly safe walking there. Definitely would not walk alone or at night.
4.5
The place was very clean & the grounds where cleaned daily. Extremely convenient location with plenty of parking.
The bathroom was huge and bed was comfortable!
It was a great experience over all! And I didn't hear any outside noise from the market below.

Not sure if this property is hidden, but it truly is a gem in Cruz Bay. St. John can be a challenge to get around, but these suites are walking distance to the bars and restaurants of Cruz Bay, as well as the pier with plenty of taxis to get you to where you want to go on the island. The suites are also in a marketplace with a full service grocery store, excellent deli, coffee shop, drug store, hardware store, and more. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience staying in St. John and not wanting the resort type experience of the Westin and also don't want to rent a full house and have to rent a Jeep. The walk to Cruz Bay pier is about 10-15 minutes if you don't mind hills and narrow streets. The suites are extremely spacious, clean, and modern with a full kitchenette. We were not sure what to expect so we were so pleasantly surprised. Only downside was that on night one we were dealing with a lack of A/C, and only used the temp up and down buttons because of a note warning that touching any other buttons would reset the system and require a visit from maintenance. Since I was going to have to call anyway, I actually hit the power button and alas, we had A/C. The notes failed to mention that small detail. But overall we highly recommend looking into this property if you're considering a stay at one of the most beautiful places on earth.

All in all we had a good stay on St. John but, from booking, all the way to check-out, we never had contact with, or spoke to, a human being. Kind of weird. We were awakened at 2:00am to find a sizable roof leak in the kitchen/living room area. We immediately texted the emergency number provided but, didn't hear back until we texted them again the next day. It never did get totally fixed. Anyway, the location has everything you need right in the same building. You can walk to downtown Cruz Bay if you don't have a rental car but, it's not a flat, easy walk. Oh yeah, the room was super cold and we never did figure out how to adjust the thermostat?

New property. Well maintained and clean.
AC cranks!
There are no windows so that was a little odd but I slept like baby since it was dark and quiet at night.
Extremely convenient property with the market downstairs and Sam and Jack’s sandwich shop next door.
10 min walk to downtown.

The property was fine, although the pictures on Expedia weren't really specific on the layout of each particular suite. It appeared there was an actual bed in the living room, as well as one in the bedroom. So my coworker had to sleep on the pull out sofa.
After 5 days I had to reqest new sheets and towels. Anything earlier and you have to pay. I had to strip the beds, but returned to find the new sheets in a bag, and some were just thrown over the couch. There was only one roll of paper towels, a couple rolls of toilet paper, and a couple trash bags. We were there for over 2 weeks. The locationis pretty good but the grocery store is astronomically expensive. I dont know how people afford to go there. Except for Woody's. 2 dollar Coors Lights 3-6.

The air was cold which for these Texans was a HUGE BLESSING! We stayed in suite 10 and It was perfect for two of us, we could have had two more on the sleeper sofa if needed! The convenience of the Starfish Market and drug store was irreplaceable! Sam and Jacks deli was right there also! We will definitely be staying here again!

This was great, the literal only thing to complain about was the windows. Wish we could have kept the bedroom darker in the morning. That's it, only complaint. Room was huge, had a kitchenette with fridge and dishes. Dinning area, living room, and large bathroom. Not only would we recommend this place, we did to people in our group that rented a house. We loved our stay!

The room is spacious if relatively corporate in style - quite clean and excellent location. Disappointed by service in that an outlet that was clearly made available to guests by the bed ended up trapping my $80 Apple charging block and I was told there was nothing they could do to retrieve it, and when I asked for some kind of comp to cover the cost, I was told to provide my address and if they can get it in the future they will send. I doubt this will happen and I will be pursuing getting my money back somehow.

I enjoyed the quite evening seating on the patio just outside my suite. Sam&Jackgorma

Room was clean, large and modern/sleek looking. Updated. The pillows, bed sheets, comforter were beyond AMAZINGLY soft. I actually looked at the brand so I can order them back at home. Really great location. Close to the little town. 3 minute drive at most. Grocery store below was so convenient since there is a kitchen area in room. Quiet area. I wish there were more plates/cups though. Seemed like we had to do dishes after each time we ate. I did not like the shower, I understand water pressure isn’t the best in St John but the shower heads barely put out any water. The shower was not fully enclosed, so it got really cold. I would definitely return though!! Great price for such a new place.

We stayed in Suite 5 - it is enormous!! A huge bedroom with king size bed, desk, louge chair and TV. A second bedroom with 2 twin beds & TV. A large connecting bathroom. A good sized galley kitchen area well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, full size fridge/freezer, even ice cube trays, toaster, keurig. And then another large room with sofa, chair, TV, dining table & chairs and another desk. There is no lobby/front desk here - you are on the third floor (elevator for luggage). But check in/out is very straight foward with lock box. You are not on a beach< but above a shopping mall type area. Seems slightly odd, but gave us the perfect sized room for a family of 4 with 2 teens, and at a decent price. Short walk into Cruz Bay we did several times for dinner.
4.5
There were 4 pillows only 2 pillow shams, we needed more towels, and we didn't have the form left in our room, so we called it in and never got the towels. There is no concierge on site, so you don't have your rooms cleaned daily or towels replenished. The TV's had an issue with have multiple remotes. The hotel is really clean, great area, very modern and you can walk down to anything pretty much. We would stay again.
4.5
Very nice suites, spacious and everything you need is int the Marketplace.
4.5
Marketplace was very nice. It was convenient, clean, easy self parking, and offered everything we needed. I would definitely stay again. The only downside was we could hear the people next to us and I’m sure they could hear us. But it wasn’t a big deal for me.
4.5
Property was very close to car ferry, an easy 10 minute walk to downtown, had good parking, in the same building as the grocery and drug stores and our suite was very spacious! No on-site staff, but responsive when contacting the number given.
4.5
Very nice, convenient place to stay while exploring the island. Comfortable and clean. AC was ineffective, though, with uncomfortably warm nights.
4.5
Great local place to stay.
4.5
We love being able to have breakfast and make picnics in the kitcheonette. We were disappointed this time that the Kuerig didn't work and couldn't be replaced. We love being able to walk back and forth to Cruz Bay. It is very difficult to get a taxi to come up to the Marketplace to take you anywhere.
4.5
Our suite was extremely nice. The deli on our floor was excellent, but wish they stayed open longer. The grocery store on first floor was convenient, but overpriced. It was a bit hazardous walking to town because of limited or missing sidewalks. Other than that, it was a safe area. Only a 10-min walk to town.
4.5
Great place especially for a single person. Room was quiet, surprisingly large for a studio, up-to-date accomodations and very comfortable. It was so pleasant to have options for buying food around me. Location is quite convenient. I travelled alone and felt quite safe.
4.5
The suite was lovely and Stephanie was very helpful with questions. It would have been nice to know how to get help with the AC unit that seemed to have control issues. With no front desk this was tough. It would also

First night: rain hard rain fell hard into the suite through a light fixture, pooling on desk and floor, waking me up.
Next day maintenance came at 8:30 am. Paula, the owner, called, apologized, and offered me an upgraded suite. I repacked and moved. I should have been refunded for the first night’s rent and offered physical help in moving my stuff.
Marketplace Suites lacks a standard of hospitality that is expected. Here, you are asked to help yourself, keeping their overheads down, but this does nothing for you.
There is no housekeeping service from check in to check out.
No windows in some rooms—like living underground.
Kitchen floor was unclean in the second suite.
Step-on kitchen trash canister mechanism, broken.
Not so much as a shaker of salt in the kitchen.
No place to put soap down in the shower besides the floor.
People loiter and argue in the complex, kids scream and play, loud echoes invade the suites.
There’s an unreasonable and strict check-out policy of 10 am—sharp! I was denied a much-needed extension. Housekeeping was adamant at my door at 10:07. Only after I totally lost it on a second phone call, did a rep call to say they all had a big meeting—staff, owners, and housekeeping—and that I could stay awhile longer.
Well, I was out by 11 am, the usual check-out time anywhere else on Earth—usually somewhat flexible, upon request.
Positives: the suites are modern, there is an elevator, and it’s convenient to have stores and deli right there.
4.5
The good: Very clean room, large room, kitchenette, lounge. Convenient to town (10 min walk). Convenient to beach (2 mile walk). Taxi were usually present to go to further beaches. Grocery store, deli, drug store in building.
The not-so-good: The room had NO WINDOWS. Maybe other rooms have them, IDK. I wish the mgmt had warned us about that. (Who builds a hotel w/o windows?)
4.5
The marketplace is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay on the beautiful island of St. John.
4.5
Perfect location, parking on site, easy walk from town. Very clean, modern, comfortable and well-appointed room. Close to everything, convenient! On-site coffee shop, drug store, grocery store and restaurants and shops. Close to beaches, hiking and historic cultural locations. You can’t beat the price anywhere on St. John!
4.5
Property in good condition, however the kitchenet was small and without extractor for the stove. No housekeeping during our stay.
4.5
Wasn't a noisy area very quiet. Supermarket below was a plus. No nice dining areas close
4.5
We try to make this a yearly event and always find it a central good place to stay.
4.5
It is definitely a nice place to stay and very convenient. On the first floor is a grocery store, followed by a drug store on the second and Sam and Jack’s deli on the third floor where you are staying. It’s a great place for coffee and sandwiches. My only suggestion would be is to rent a car because you are about a ten minute walk from downtown. I will likely stay here again next time.
4.5
Modern room with stores on site. Only bad part was the smelly garbage facility across the street.
4.5
The suite was spacious and functional for the two of us. Very convenient to everything St. John has to offer.

I had a very terrible stay!! I would NEVER stay here EVER again. There was hair everywhere and when I contacted the people about it they made it seems as if it was no big deal. They claimed that they cleaned for hours and that they had someone double check everything. There was a lot of hair on and in the bed, black stains on the sheets and pillows, hair in the bathroom sink, shower, toilet, and the most disturbing was found in the refrigerator. This place was very unsanitary. The ladies that I talked to Diane and Paula were not very helpful. Paula was very rude she supposedly came back to “clean”my room. She would not allow me to watch her change the sheets but closed the door in my face. I told her about the shower as well and she shut the door on me yet again as she “cleaned it.” After she “cleaned” there was still more hair everywhere and I was still very annoyed. I had to go back after her to wipe the hair out the the refrigerator. This was a terrible experience!! After a plane ride you are tired and just want a good nights sleep in a clean room especially one that you paid good money for. It’s one thing for a place to be unsanitary but for bad customer service as well it’s just a shame. This was unacceptable from all of them!!! I do not recommend this place at all. I DO NOT plan on coming back to this place EVER AGAIN!!

Newly updated-nice place. No coffee -bring your own. Could of used some hooks to hang swimsuits & towels, etc… needed more bathing soap
