Very good time in Bluebird Hunter!

The Hunter Lodge has a warm rustic cozy vibes. The front room has a wood burning stove and a game room in an eclectic library. Room was a spacious clean and unique with an upstairs loft. Only disappointment was the Tavern being closed the night before Thanksgiving.

The location is great. The room was large and decorated nicely. Bed was comfortable. We wished it had better lighting - there are several low light lamps but overall, the room was very dark. The closet is in a dark corner with no lights nearby. We're not from this part of the country so we didn't realize that most restaurants, including the one at the lodge, are closed Mondays-Wednesdays in the fall. Unfortunately, our stay was Mon-Wed, so we were not able to eat at the lodge, which had come highly recommended and we were looking forward to. The nearby dining options were very limited at this time of year.

The property location was fine; nice, clean, comfortable, good parking, but at $273 a day, not worth it. Staff was nice, but rarely available probably due to low season and/or new staff. No batteries at desk for TV remote, so no TV until we bought our own batteries.
Biggest issue was a $65 resort fee added with no 'resort' amenities offered, appears simply hidden up charge to room rate. Given $10 credit a day credit for the restaurant/bar, but was not deducted and closed restaurant/bar without notice, even front desk didn't know, on Monday voiding the last $10.00 credit.

Loved our stay at Hunter Lodge!

The place is great, the staff was outstanding. The bed was a bit soft and the temperature of the rooms was hotter than the thermostat was set at.
Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay

We loved our stay, our room and the tavern exceptional. Scenic views of the mountain were beautiful. We enjoy our stay we will be back.

Had a great 3 night stay. I was here for a friends weekend and was very happy with the lodge. The room was larger than expected and was very clean and comfortable. We loved the morning breakfast and also enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Peter is a great bartender and enjoyed having drinks in the bar and the cozy firepit out back. It was a fantastic weekend.

The interior design is beautiful. The staff appear to be in transition or training, nobody knows what to do or answer…

The room was dirty and there weren’t many options within the property

Overall we really loved our stay! We stayed for 3 days during Labor Day weekend. We stayed on the third floor and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was renovated. The balcony had some large spiders so we did not use it much but we spent most of our time exploring the outdoor areas of the property. There’s a lot of chairs facing mountain side and fire pit that we enjoyed. They have s’mores kits you can buy which are stocked with everything you need. The indoor common areas have a library reading area that we played chess in. There’s also a bar/restaurant but there is a long wait because at the time we were there it was only 1 bartender who was also a server who also delivering the food to people who ordered room service. The food was good and the drinks were good just long waits especially during peak times 6-9. We went at 5pm and it was good.

Deceiving from the outside but beautiful on the inside and staff were super friendly!!

The condition of the room exceeded all my expectations! Bathroom was very clean and stylish. Was a little concerned when I saw comments about kids friendless. However, as soon as we arrived, my kids were gifted with a goodie bag which is almost unheard of these days!
Definitely would recommend this lodge for everyone!

Excellent location next to the Hunter Mountain ski area

The first thing we noticed is that there were flies all over the place - over the free cookies in the lobby, in our bedroom and bath as soon as we checked in. That’s usually a sign of unclean conditions! Our room 111 felt like a dungeon in the basement- literally. It was below the parking lot and had very poor lighting. We had no shampoo in our room and had to wait a while to find housekeeping at around 8pm

This is located in a very beautiful area in the Catskills area, I wish I would’ve stay longer, we stayed in one of the rooms with the full size bunk beds and they were so comfortable, the room was way more spacious than we thought, my kids were able to play in the room without us being cramped. Breakfast was very basic but it definitely did the trick for us to get our day going and explore the area. We wanna come back and stay longer soon!

Great overall experience. Nothing fancy and definitely very family-oriented but a really great, cost-effective, and clean jumping off point for Hunter, Tannersville, etc.

Would stay here again.

Great option for the area at the price point- king sized bed, spacious, updated room w/ sitting area, mini fridge, and door to patio that’s part of a beautiful outdoor common space. Breakfast included - a good experience.

I stumbled upon this hotel on my drive up to see the Catskill Mountain Shakespeare Theater company do a production in 2023. I stayed on a whim that year and this was my second year because I loved the first one so much. The rooms are very spacious, clean and the beauty products never irritate my sensitive skin. The view from the patio rooms is gorgeous and sitting on your porch, patio or the communal lawn looking at the mountain is a great place to meditate in the mornings or walk your furry bestie. Another thing I notice is how lovely the hallways smell. I know that may sound strange but most hotels have a musty smell when you first walk down their hallways even the nicer ones. The Hunter Lodge hallways smell like cedar and this always evokes good memories at other points in my life. I love this lodge and highly recommend it!

Lovely place, friendly staff. A little confused about the continental breakfast and how some portions were included with the room and others weren't.

we stayed so we could join a large party staying at North/South lake. I’m 68 years old and can’t tent camp anymore.
Breakfast could have had fruit or something fresh.
Dinner wasn’t hot , but passable ( a bit overpriced)

This place had a great vibe! Loved the room, comfy beds, loved the tavern (had a great local IPA and delicious local cheese plate). Staff was friendly and down to earth. No complaints. Very reasonably priced ta boot!

The property is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. The bathroom is very nice. Everybody was very friendly. The views were quite beautiful. The one and only thing that I did not like about the property was the $20 resort fee that gave me absolutely nothing. I didn’t really go there to play cornhole or horseshoes and yet somehow I paid $40 for myself and my guest in addition to the price for the room. we were only in the room to sleep, and the rest of our trip was based on hiking. The resort fee felt unnecessary and would be a deciding factor about returning.

We stayed at 4-person room with bunk beds and it was so comfortable. The lighting was limited, though. But everything was excellent, yet again.
