Great place, great time.

I planned this trip with my brother, i wanted somewhere nice to stay. We stayed at the Virgin Hotel in Nashville and really enjoyed it. So i decided to book a room at this hotel and im a huge Mariah Carey fan so when i found out her pop up bar was at the Virgin Hotel that sealed the deal for me. The front dest attendants to the valet personnel were all very nice and helpful. The room were nicely decorated, not the biggest room but it did the job.

Spent 3 nights at this hotel and it was a great setup with plenty of space and comfort. During first night though the vent was making noise so it was hard to sleep so we decided to turn the ac off before bedtime and we slept so good. We didn’t ended up using pool but we saw it there also if you want to exercise the exercise room is welcoming and has everything you would need. Equipment looked new. Hotel is in walking distance from French Quarter but in quiet area. People who do valet are amazing thank you guys!

Wonderful experience...highlighted by the friendly, professional, and service oriented staff. Hotel room was cleaned daily and the property was clean and had fun decorations for the holidays. Great coffee in the Library.

We arrived at the Virgin Hotel New Orleans in the middle of the night and was greeted by the night consigliere with a big smile and a warm greeting. He checked us in swiftly and directed us to our room. Called “Chambers” by Virgin, our Chamber was beautifully eclectically appointed and extremely clean. We took hot showers and straight to bed. There for only one night, as we left our chamber to check-out, we were greeted warmly by every hotel staffer we passed. The Bell men were exceptional, taking our luggage to the car, loading it in, and assisting both my husband and I with our doors. When I return to NOLA (and I will return) I already know I’m staying at the Virgin Hotel New Orleans!

I just finished staying at the Virgin Hotel in New Orleans. Horrible experience!
Here is how it is going:
For starters, the clerk misdirected to the wrong room. After 3 attempts with re-doing the key card, an engineer opened the door only to find the room was already occupied! After getting placed in another room, I was promised that someone would follow up. It never happened!! Now, I come back to my room to discover that housekeeping threw my laundry away!
I am sorry I am already booked at Virgin for Christmas. I will make sure not to bring any gifts that the hotel could possibly throw away! This is entirely unacceptable!! Worse yet, they don't seem to care and made no attempt to remedy either situation. And entirely engaged over the situation and the lack of empathy. It also defies business sense that you would victimize of your hotel when you consider the economics of this situation. You’d be much wiser to pull 40 friggin dollars out of it till given. I spent $1000 for my three day stay. Trust me I’m spreading the word. I now have to avail myself of my skill set that has involved as a result of being a trial lawyer for 37 years.
I guarantee Virgin Hotel NOLA has not heard the last of us. I would say good day, but that would be facetious.

Quirky and fun decor. Kind of like being in a home. Bars were excellent and rooftop bar was super comfortable and elegant.

We were in town for the Eras tour and it was painful how under-prepared this hotel was. I hate to even leave a bad review because I am always a fan of Virgin when traveling and cannot recommend their airline & cruise line enough. This was my first stay at one of their hotels and while the property is clean and beautiful, our experience was so bad. My room was not ready by the 3pm check-in time. We ended up having to ask for our luggage and the front desk team offered for us to get ready for the concert in the public restroom. When we were leaving for the show at 6:15pm, we were told our room was finally available. We weren't even offered a comp drink or meal for the huge inconvenience. I think all of the non-hotel guests attending the Taylor Swift rooftop party were better cared for than the hotel guests.
I will note that the staff at the lobby-level bar were wonderful.

We have stayed in many other hotels in New Orleans and the Virgin Hotel is now our new favorite. It was remarkably quiet on the hallway and in our room, despite being full due to a Taylor Swift concert. The property is so delightfully decorated and truly a mix of whimsical and modern. Great artwork, amazing lounges/bars. The shower and bed were fantastic and the room was impeccably clean. The only disappointment was the attitude of the front desk staff when calling for anything. We got an alert that our car alarm (parked for $55 valet per net) was going off - three times, yet when we called to ask them to look into it the person at the desk said "I don't have time for this". Speaking to the valet directly resolved the issue. We also placed another call to ask about the menu at the restaurant was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes, only to then be told they don't have openings that night. The positive was staff included a nice check-in experience (with Ryan) and the valet (Kahlil) was professional. The housecleaning staff and maintenance were both kind and responsive over our 2 day stay. We will definitely return, but would hope someone checks the attitude of their self-absorbed front-desk person who needs to remember what it is to work in the service industry (having done it myself many years ago).

Beware that there are a select number of rooms on every floor that do not have natural light, just a deep, narrow light well outside a window. No sense of time of day within these rooms.
Another word of caution: a quarter of the seating on the rooftop requires payment, and because these sofas are so expensive ($250), they are mostly unoccupied. Which is frustrating when all the “free” seating is occupied.
Elevator stopped 6” higher than the level of the floor and we had to push open the door manually.
When we arrived for check in a staff member rushed in the front door ahead of us and did not hold open the door. Weird start.
Lobby is too small and congested during check in and check out.
We ended up going to the restaurants and bars of two hotels one block away instead of using the same facilities at the Virgin.

This was out first time at a Virgin hotel, and it did not disappoint. Our room was great, and the location of the hotel is close to both the Superdome and the French Quarter. Don't forget to check out the rooftop pool and lounging areas! We will certainly stay there again if we're in New Orleans.

Only negative is that the front desk refused to give 1 hour of late checkout, insists on 1/2 hour.
On Monday , hotel was not busy.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are large and clean, with plenty of amenities. I unfortunately caught a cold during my stay and the tea kettle in my room was a huge benefit. The cafe in the lobby is very nice, and the mini bar has a wide selection, if you are so inclined. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to check out the pool club, everyone raves about it.

Great hotel and in a great location. 10-15 minute walk to bourbon/french quarter/caesars stadium. Service was great from the moment I walked into the hotel.

Stay was great, staff professional. Just one bill on the pool lunch that was not ours, waiting for updated bill.

Always a good stay at the Virgin. Great staff, attentive, feels very safe. In the CBD, so a little bit from dining, etc., but easy to take a Lyft from and easy to walk to the Quarter, 15 min. Construction at the end of the block, never heard it from inside. Air is a little dry in the hotel, but free clean water in the lobby and gym. Ridiculously good price for the quality.

This hotel was awesome! It’s a great place to stay for a couple. Clean, comfortable bed, excellent gym, cool decor. Staff was friendly. Parking is confusing. It’s probably easier to valet park, but that is a bit expensive so make sure you decide before you arrive if you want to valet. It’s either that or you’re parking somewhere in town. You can use one of the parking apps to find an overnight lot or garage, but if you’re arriving late you should consider the walk.

Room was tiny and awkward.
Design is nice but not practical.
Couldn’t get hold of front desk.
Got checked out somehow early, even though it wasn’t me.

We had horrible service. We payed extra for a city view room and our view was of building. When we brought it to the attention of the concierge they said there was nothing they could do about it. No ‘I’m sorry’, nothing. After speaking to a manager we were supposed to get a credit, but instead we were charged more. Again, we were brushed off & told there was nothing they could do. Most of the staff was very rude. The only saving grace was Ryan, who greats you at the door. He was so friendly, helpful, & just an all around great guy. I can’t compliment him enough.

Beautiful property with friendly staff and conveniently located. We made the front desk aware of rattling from air condition both days we stayed. Also, we texted the valet for the car several times in advance and got down stairs and still had to wait 20 minutes each time. Friendly valets but the parking may be too far.

Very nice hotel. I would definitely say it has a nice younger vibe. Very chic and eclectic! Is walkable distance to Bourbon st, and most of the French Quarter. The bellmen, Ryan and his group were fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area. Will definitely be back.

Was expecting a larger pool on the rooftop but that is my only minor complaint, the property was beautiful with comfortable beds, gorgeous decor and incredibly friendly staff from reception to bar to restaurant staff, everyone made me feel special. Thanks Virgin!
