As a long term hotels.com gold member , this motel was amazing. Only part was pool/ spa room was not as updated as rest of place. Good location walk to town and great lake front views

Had a great overnight stay. Apartment spacious and clean with a lovely lake view. Only negative was bed was very soft and probably quite old as soft sided and partner disturbance. For this reason we probably wouldn’t stay again. A shame because everything other than sleep quality was very good.

Well appointed, very clean and everything you would ever need for a longer stay. Unit was very spacious and nice gardens. Staff were very welcoming. Located right on lake front but wasn’t bothered by any street noise.

Two bed two bath unit . On a road trip passing through. Have stayed previously back in 2008. For a week . It is nicely located . Walking distance to other places in Taupo

Great location, stunning views, very easy walk to restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking for us. Quiet units, didnt hear noises thru the walls. Deck was a little slippery in the rain. Unit was lovely and warm. Pool was nice and natural spa was lovely in the cold weather.

Apartment furnishing was a little dated, but very clean. It’s a very spacious apartment when you consider the price, and by far the best bang for buck.

Property is old. One of the sofa bed in lounge wasn’t in good condition, the mattress on sofa bed was old too. Couldn’t sleep comfortably. We didn’t know that bedroom doesn’t have heat pump. For 2 degree Celsius temperature heat pump is must. Room bathroom and kitchenette were nice and clean.

Fabulous location opposite the lake and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Very happy to have access to ground coffee and a coffee plunger. Bed was clean and comfortable. Steps to our room had sensors that were a tad slow to switch the lights on and the lights could have been brighter but other than that everything else was great and we'd happily stay here again.

Nice and close to the waterfront and shops which was great. First impressions weren’t very good as pretty much all the dishes were dirty and required us to do a load on arrival. Tables hadn’t appeared to have been wiped down either. We had booked the deluxe apartment and had paid for a fifth person however there was no fifth bed made up. Apparently this had to be requested which the receptionist said we should have been prompted for online (I never saw this). I imagined this would have just required some initiative or common sense. Bedroom with the queen bed was nice but got quite cold at night which was not ideal for baby in portacot. The heat pump didn’t quite heat up that room. However, reception were happy to lend us a heater for the second night.

Very welcoming, forgot to specify that we needed the kids beds to be made up but the lovely lady in reception even come over to our room to ask if we needed her help to make them! Has even gone out of her way to courier something back to us that the kids left behind. Great location and the heated pool was a great bonus! Thank you🙂

Ika Nui is in a great position close to the lake and well withing walking distance of town/restaurants etc. Our two bedroom unit was very comfortable, had a good sized fridge and good cooking facilities if you are there with kids....with the added bonus of an ensuite. Our grandchildren loved the pool, spa and plunge pool although we were disappointed that on our final morning they couldn't have a quick swim at 8.30 a.m. before we had to leave at 10, especially when they could see other kids in the pool. We were told the pool was being treated over that time. I wonder if they could do that treatment after ten and before the 2pm check-in time. We also had a tradesman make himself at home on our balcony area - but the management did deal with that when we told them. Overall we would return for another stay.

Well appointed one bedroom apartment with lake view. Very comfortable stay with fully equiped kitchen, full sized bathroom and lounge. Covered outside table and chairs on own balcony. Directly across the road from the lake and easy walking distance to the main retail, food and beverage strip.

The property was clean, tidy, fantastic value for what we paid. The apartment had a lounge, dining area, 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms. Only down was the mattresses on the beds were a bit soft, but thats a personal preference. It is located right on the lake and is walkable to all the restaurants, bars and shopping centers. Friendly people at the reception that run the place. Would definitely recommmend.
