Toilet didn’t flush which was reported to house keepers the following morning due to a late check in the night before, we were out all day the following day to find that it hadn’t been fixed or a room swap offered. Also reported no hand soap and no shower gel /shampoo apart from enough for myself to just about wash my hair. This wasn’t resolved either. The whole of the floor the room was on smelled of smoke, a no smoking rule clearly not ever well enforced by the fact we were awoken to fire alarms going off. However, apart from the toilet not working and there being a faint smell of urine in the bathroom because of this and being unable to shower the first evrning, the bed was relatively comfortable, the room was dated but clean and the room was a good temperature. You get what you pay for just feel for the relative small size of the issues I had in terms of the mm being resolved could’ve made an okay stay a good one

It is a public house on the main A6 in Carlisle. Very noisy from traffic all night.
A lot of traffic passing. Noise from within the property. Beer kegs banging. People talking loudly for hours. Music playing too.
Shower had black mould around it. Ceiling mouldy & flaking. Cobwebs & dust on skirting boards & cornices. Carpet filthy with stains etc. Base of taps filthy. Toilet seat loose. Toilet difficult to flush. Bed reasonable but not sure if sheet was clean.Parking very poor. Not the best area. It was a last minute booking, so no choice due
to big event on for us. Not worth the cost.

No hot water, no plug in sink, very dated and basic. Noisy throughtout the hotel with shouting, screaming and doors slamming at all hours.

For what we paid it was just what we wanted with safe parking and a short walk to Botchergate.

Really confusing how to get to the car park. The front desk weren’t too helpful. The bar is not open- doesn’t reopen for 2 weeks. That was disappointing as no mention of this. Very dingy. No toilet roll or handsoap but had shower gel. Beds were actually quite comfy but marks on the sheets. What do you expect for £50 a night though.

A reasonable price and close to the city so you can walk there if you are reasonably fit. Good that it has a car park. The guy at check-in was friendly and helpful.
The room was ok if quite dated but there is a lack of attention to cleaning properly. The TV stand was thick with dust and the shower did not look good with the shower head and sealant looking dirty and the shower door not working properly. There were also black marks on one of the towels. But at least the bed was clean. A room facing the main road is quite noisy because it is quite busy but not much can be done about that.

Lights didn’t work and plumbing was extremely noisy.

The Staff were friendly enough but the bar was not open and the front door wouldn't lock

The property was reasonably priced. Comfortable beds, however, it was noisy at night and dust in the property. I found rubbish under the bed from previous customer. There was dust on the door and cobwebs by the front door.
It was close to Town, Mcdonalds and Asda, this came in handy to buy snacks:)

Basic hotel on main road which is very busy. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.
Unfortunately due to the price we had a lot of late night disturbance from other rooms. Room itself although advertised as superior king was very small and bed was against one wall which made it difficult for us. You get what you pay for especially in August.

I was only in the room 5 mins the smell of the stale smoke, the stains on the carpet and the dirt in the shower made me feel sick. I knew i couldnt stop here so had no choice but to hand the keys back in and spend another £400 and go to another hotel

location is good about 12 to 15 mins walk from train station and easy to find straight down Botchergate, and easy to walk to the main square with lots of bars and eateries, room was fine with en suite bathroom , good shower, fresh towels and tea making facilities, good value in comparison to other places, if staying in Carlisle again i would try to stay here

Unfortunately not up to scratch! This is a hostel not a hotel. The room was dirty and worn. The bathroom tiny and the shower covered in black mould. The room was noisy and overheated. Use the Premier Inn up the road!!

Awful, from people smoking weed on the property, yelling and screaming until the early hours. My room smelt of cider, the bathroom was filthy. Regretted sleeping in the bed but I was shattered after a long drive. Thankful it was only a stopover.

The accommodation fell short of Hotel.com usual standard. Our bedroom was above a Bar where they played extremely loud music until 3am. The toilet seat was not secured. when we pointed this out in the morning the staff were not interested. No bedside lights. headboards were off the beds. very dark and dinghy. required a good clean and facelift. It seemed to be in a rundown part of Carlisle. Definitely over priced for the accommodation. Travelling from the North of Scotland to the south coast we just needed to sleep, which did not happen.

If you're on a late night out with friends and need a hotel to stay at, this place works well. However, if you wish for an early night, make sure your stay doesn't clash with karaoke night otherwise the minimal noise reduction to your room may deny you of that if you don't have suitable headphones. Otherwise good stay.

Our family of five stayed in a family suite for two nights. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness and shape of the room. There were stains on the sheets and curtains, and the carpet and some of the bedding were old and in poor shape. The bathroom was not clean with mildew in the shower, gum and dirt on the floor, cobwebs, etc. There was also mouse poop in the dresser drawers. Both nights we were awakened around 4:00 am in the morning- once by someone being on the phone talking very loudly and another by a group of people coming in with their luggage and going upstairs. The only reason we did not leave was we had had a hard time finding a room available in the area for that weekend because it is busy tour season.

I was welcomed warmly with respect, calmness, and a lovely sincere smile after a very long trip. I will not hesitate to return there knowing the welcome I will recieve.
The manager needs to be know for the services he provides
Kind regards,
Rossanna

There was a lot of street noise from cars and people until late, the shower was temperamental and there was no soap - the soap dispenser by the basin was completely missing and the one in the shower was empty. The breakfast was basic but tasty.

Very well situated close to city centre, lots of eating places and secure off street parking. Secure and clean. Proprietor friendly and professional. Thank you.

Hotel was adequate, comfy bed, tea making facilities and en-suite. Close to town centre. Breakfast was ok. hadn't realised had to pay extra for breakfast as advertised showed bed & breakfast, assumed that's what it meant!
