Location to the mountains is perfect. The grounds of the whole place is excellent. It is a little gated and walled oasis. Owners live on site and were friendly and kept the whole place spotless. Interior furnishings were sparce and spartan but clean. The landscaping is just unbelievable. Location is in a bit of a food desert so be prepared to cook your own food of drive 30 minutes at least. No barking dogs at night. Very quiet. Pool area is upscale compared to most.
No wifi at all even despite it being on the property. Cell service is just ok. No wifi anywhere! If you work remotely like us, wifi is a necessity and we would have picked someplace else. The owners said that they have contacted Bookings.com and have tried to address the misrepresentation. Pool is cold like a mountain stream.

We loved the location, the tranquility, the view, the swimming pool. The gardens are superb.

Territory (garden) around apartments are very beautiful - tiny paradise. Pool is quite ok. Lot of parking place in territory.
Apartments (bungalows) are ok, but al least our (Mangue) must be re-painted. Bad thing: nobody informed us that there won't be a water for some time (2 times in 3 days), so we came from hiking and wasn't be able to take a shower.

Gorgeous landscaping. Spectacular view of the mountains from our little private patio (we stayed in the Gouyave cabin). When we arrived from the airport late on New Year's Eve when all the stores and restaurants were closed and we hadn't eaten, the owner's family graciously invited us to share their dinner with them. Cabin was clean, modern, and functional. Good air-conditioning in the bedroom and good wifi. Although only one person in the family spoke English (not at all fluently), so communication was difficult, everyone made every effort to be helpful.
We got COMPLETELY lost on the way there. GPS had no idea, there are no clear instructions on the hotel website, and we had no working cellphone. However, if your phone works, Google Maps knows the location and would have been fine.
As with many rural lodgings in Guadeloupe, you can't throw toilet paper in the toilet. This would have been fine if the trash can was emptied every day, or if we had been told where we could empty it ourselves. However, because there is no front desk or bell to ring for service, we were never able to figure out what to do with the trash, so it got a bit gross by the end of our stay. We didn't have a working phone, so could only communicate with the staff via email or by running into them by chance. There is no housekeeping.
Lovely windows, breezes, and view, but no screens, so to keep out the bugs, we had to close all the shutters at night, which was too bad. Bugs were not bad at all, but all the warning signs of dengue fever at the airport made us unwilling to take chances.
Check out was especially challenging, as we had to track down someone late at night and there were no instructions listed anywhere. Likely, having a working cell phone and a good command of French would have made our stay much easier!
