About this cabin rental
Located in the heart of Federal Dam, we may not be on the water but we are conveniently located just three blocks away from the iconic Federal Dam and Leech Lake Rec area where you can fish from shore or take your own boat out on Leech Lake or the Leech River. Many other fishing spots in reasonable distances. Please note, due to the current of the river and the Dam itself, there is no swimming beach located in Federal Dam. However there is one in Sugar Point or down by Walker. Also, please note there are no restaurants or grocery stores in Federal Dam. There are multiple restaurants as close as ten miles away, and the closest full grocery store is a 25 minute drive.
We are also just blocks away (walking distance) from the Soo Line Trail north, a 150 mile ATV trail that's great for hiking, biking, or bringing your ATV's.
We have two rental cabins on the property as well as a Gift Shop and Bait Shop. We have room for parking for truck/trailer or truck/boat.
Our cabins were built in 1950 and have been completely renovated in 2022!
Each cabin is identical in layout and can sleep up to four guests, with a queen bed in the bedroom, twin bed in the main living area, couch in the living room that folds into a full bed, kitchen table with chairs, and a full kitchen. The bathroom has a full shower stall.
We have pots/pans, silverware, dishes, cooking utensils, toaster, and 5 cup coffee maker with filters in the kitchen. Hair dryer in the bathroom
Smart TV's in the living rooms.
The party making the reservation must be the one to check in and be staying during the reservation. Check in at the Gift Shop between 2 - 7 pm. Check Out is 10 am.
We allow pets in the cabins with pet fee, but they must remain leashed, picked up after, and not be left alone in the cabins or tied up outside unsupervised.

It was exactly what Mike and I needed. A place to "go home to" after spending time with relatives. Even though when we stayed the temp hit an all time high (97)!!!. The cabin was a perfect size for us. Loved that the furniture was custom-built and the pictures are available to purchase!!! They, IN themselves make the cabin!!! It was very peaceful. Tiffany (the owner) is very nice. We will definitely be back for a longer visit.

This is a small cabin, but plenty big enough for a couple. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots and pans that we needed. There was a coffee maker, lot of plates and dishes. We took two long walks from this cabin, one on the Soo trail, and abandoned railroad. We also walked the rec area and campground of the nearby cabin. A great place to get away.

Just sitting here in the morning thinking a hotel would have been at least the same amount. No hotel would give me anything near the experience we enjoyed here. Very nice.

We really enjoyed our stay in Fox Hollow. We didn’t expect such a nice place. The gift shop was a bonus. TV & WI-FI worked very well. The cabin was well stocked. Great place to stay if you plan to fish on Leech or Winnie. Only down side was lack of shade. Next time we will elect Dear Den as there is a big shade tree in front. We used fire pit a lot and found it too much in sun. A/C in cabin was really appreciated. Tiffany was very friendly and helpful.

The cabins are great places to stay. Clean with unique decore. We had everything we needed. It is a small cabin that works great for a small family or couple. The manager was very helpful and friendly. She referred us to great services (boat rental, etc).

Friendly property manager, quiet cabin and resort, cozy and clean. Great area for dogs. Shared firepit was nice, shared grill. I’d book it again!

Dam Cabins are great. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable, especially the bed! Very pet friendly. Federal Dam is quiet and a nice place to walk your dog. Located on the quiet side of Leech Lake, just what you need after a busy day of shopping and hiking. Destinations are within easy reach, Bemidji, Itasca, Walker. If you want a relaxing stay in comfort, then Dam Cabins are for you.

This property is across the the road from the dam. Beautiful sunsets and it offered a great park for walking. The house is decorated beautifully, but the couch was hard for two to watch tv. The kitchen was not well set up for a long stay. We enjoyed our visit but things were very remote, like groceries. This is an excellent weekend place!

Accommodations were very good but it would have been nice to have a fan in the bedroom. It’s closed off and the air conditioning couldn’t cool the bedroom.

Newly remodeled little quaint cabin. Very nice and centrally located to where we needed to go for many different events. Friendly people and very cost friendly.

This was a nice place for just the two of us and our dog. Very easy access to the Soo Line Trail for hiking and biking. Also easy access to Leach Lake if you want to go fishing.

This place was absolutely amazing! Everything was way better in person (they already had great photos) and we had an amazing time. This is definitely marked as a must for places to stay in the area. While things are a bit out of the way the area is lovely for a relaxing time and offers some nice walks.

Great Cabin
Cabin was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The handmade log furniture was a nice extra touch. The property manager communicated quickly when I had questions before our stay. We didn’t have any problems but if we did she was on site and I know she would have been very helpful.
