This was one of my favorite short-term rentals. Easy drive to Sequioa National Forest. Very walkable area with loads of good restaurants, coffee shops, and the like. The Saturday market, which was about 1.5 miles away, was fantastic if you like fresh produce. Soccer City 1852–a brewery and indoor soccer facility—is a can’t miss.
The house was spacious, clean, and had a nice yard and grill. No complaints, only positives from my crew.

A very lovely neighborhood with quick access to food and the highway to the Sequía national park. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever down in the area again

Great rental! Stayed after a day in Sequoia and surrounding area. Lovely backyard patio out back where we grilled out. Good location. Grocery close by.

Home was very clean and comfortable. Location close to downtown allowed us to get out and walk to dinner.

We loved our stay. The house was perfect for our family of 7. Master bedroom had very comfortable firm mattress. Nice refurbished bathrooms. House had lots of character which we love and appreciate. Extras were fun: record player, two hammock swings in the backyard, a nice grill and table with umbrella, extra blankets. We loved it! We’d stay again.

Spacious. Plenty of amenities however the two full size beds need mattresses. Very uncomfortable. Luggage racks in bedrooms would be very helpful rather than having to put everything on the floor. Refrigerator is very old and makes loud random banging noises. Carpet in bedrooms needs cleaning.

Great vintage home with very comfortable amenities.

The location was great, close to everything. The refrigerator occasionally made a loud knocking noise and seems to be on its last leg. Coffee, sugar, etc. were provided. We ran out of toilet paper in both bathrooms and paper towels but we just purchased them.

We enjoyed our stay in this home. Its antique charm was so welcoming. It was clean and comfortable for our family. Thank you!

Great house in a very convenient location

House was located on a busy and noisy corner, with traffic noise. The house next door has many feral cats and even inside the rental house with windows closed, the smell of cat urine was very noticeable. House was relatively clean, but furniture in living area was old, soiled, and worn. I would never stay there again! Home was not located in a nice area!

Stayed for a couple of days during a work event. Communication with owner was easy, house was clean, organized well put together. No complaints, I’d rent again.

This is a wonderful home in the historic district of Visalia. The home is very welcoming and the beds were so comfortable. Our hostess supplied coffee, shower gel and shampoo and conditioner. There was even a record player with a variety of albums to select from.
The location is a short walk to Main St which has wonderful shops and restaurants.
We will definitely stay here again.

A sweet place to celebrate Christmas Eve.

Beautiful historic home in a lovely neighborhood of the same. Cozy, comfy and cute.
Close to old downtown area with enchanting Christmas lights, wonderful restaurants and friendly faces. Rookies and Crawdaddy's if you're looking for great fun, food and a sweet place to stroll.

We had a good stay. The high ceilings made it a little more time consuming for the heat to fully circulate. But overall, the house was clean, welcoming, and cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed, and we appreciated the backyard barbeque and the propane.

I enjoy seeing historic homes brought back to life and this area provided many visual jewels. This 1902 home was perfect for our large family. The tall windows provided wonderful lighting and the tall ceilings are impressive. The home is well appointed and extremely clean.

Had a great stay. Came from Michigan. Clean and comfortable with a nicely kept yard. Had a wonderful backyard barbeque visiting with local relatives. This listing exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Loved the house. It's old, but charming, clean and cozy. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch sipping our cocktails at the end of the day. There is an excellent Thai restaurant about a block away. This is a perfect location for heading up to Sequoia National Park.

This house is amazing. It has retained the history while modernizing the kitchen and baths. Wonderful set up for 4 friends. We plan on returning next year.

We were in Visalia for a wedding and this home was a convenient place to stay with a young child -- especially front and back yards. Also near shopping and restaurants. Great communication from owner.
4.8
The property manager was very easy to work with. The pictures of the house were accurate. The location was close to downtown but I would not feel comfortable walking the few blocks to the main road, especially at night. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely hard. The A/C control automatically sets itself to 77 at nighttime (from what I could figure out,11pm to be specific). I would wake up in the middle of the night extremely hot and would have to go and reset the thermostat back to a lower temp. This may be an issue for someone with health issues.

Super clean and just a short walk or drive to many destinations in town. Excellent communication.

Very clean and furnished. A quaint little home.

We traveled to Visalia for a family reunion and loved this little historic home. The location and condition were great.
I've listed some items for the owner to address:
* The beds were extremely hard so it made sleeping uncomfortable. Suggest mattress toppers be added.
* The trash wasn't emptied from the previous renters.
* There wasn't a Keurig coffee maker as listed, but the drip coffee maker worked fined. We just used the coffee supplied and didn't use our K-cups that we brought.
* There was a box of vanilla coffee creamer, but it had expired in March 2022. Glad we brought our own sugar and creamer for the coffee.
* The lighting and remote were very confusing. Suggest leaving instructions for renters.
* The ceiling fan in the master bedroom needs to have an extension added to control the fan speed.
* The rear yard furniture needed to be cleaned so it is usable.

We stayed here for a trip to Sequoia, and I have to tell you, this house is adorable! There is so much character and charm. The yard is perfect, and the communication is excellent!

Very nice property with elegant furnishings. Everything was in order, though the kitchen could be stocked a bit better.

We were looking for a convenient place to stay outside of Sequoia National Park and were delighted to find this house in Visalia. The pictures match the house exactly. It was clean and comfortable and spacious and my kids enjoyed having their own rooms/beds. It was also close to downtown and finding good restaurants was easy using Yelp. We had a great breakfast at Valhalla Restaurant and a great dinner at Brewbaker's Brewery. The owner was great about communicating and even gave us helpful information about accessing the park. We also enjoyed playing the turntable!
