About this house rental
Our Naxos home is ideally located in a central but quiet pedestrian side street of the medieval old town of Naxos, at the lower end of the castle hill. Within less than 5 minutes you can walk to countless restaurants, cafes, wine bars, shopping, a state-of-the-art gym, the central bus station with connections to all beaches and villages of the island, free public parking, the harbor front, Grotta Beach, the antique temple of Apollo, and the Venetian castle.
The 2 bedroom 2.5 bath house is over 500 years old, renovated to highest standards, and offers very spacious rooms and outdoor spaces with beautiful natural light throughout. From the 3rd floor patio and windows you will enjoy a 270 degree panoramic view of the harbor, the temple of apollo, Grotta Beach, the Venetian castle, and the Aegean sea with the neighboring islands of Paros to the west and, on clear days, Mykonos to the north.
The location is perfect. You do not really need transportation of your own. Should you decide to rent a car, however, to explore the island independently, there is a large free public parking lot in short walking distance through the whitewashed labyrinth-like alleys of the old town.
There is a grocery store and a traditional bakery just around the corner. Old town and the harbor front have countless excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars. Many boats offer daily excursions to remote beaches and the neighboring islands of Paros, Sxinoussa, Irakleia, Koufonissi, Santorini, Mykonos, and Delos.
