Really enjoyed our week at Sunfish cove! Beautiful lake and charming house with great feel and lots of space. Beautiful wrap around porch and lots of amenities. Hosts were very responsive to all requests.

Beautiful house and property. Clean, well-maintained house with plenty of privacy and space for our multiple-family reunion to vacation in. Carl was very responsive and helpful -- thank you! We enjoyed the kayaks, hearing the loons at night, swimming in the lake. The kitchen was well stocked. Great experience!

Pack your bag, that’s all you need, the hosts have thought of everything, they were wonderful to work with when planning our trip. Upon arrival we were greeted with a large, clean, beautiful home. We vacationed with our three sons and their families and there was plenty of room. Loved the porch! The kitchen is so well stocked, the kids even baked! The downstairs with the ping pong and foosball tables were great, lots of room for all kinds of games, tv etc. Large yard, lots of “toys” to use, kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, different size life jackets and floats. The she shed is so adorable, we used it as a quiet space for reading lol. I highly recommend sunfish cove, you will love it!

We had a wonderful vacation with our adult children and their families. The house was a dream for us. The big wrap around porch was a perfect place to eat, gather, play games and store our coolers etc. The sleeping arrangements were great.. and the she shed was a nice getaway. The waterfront was lovely and perfect for our boats and for the kids(ages 5-12) to jump off.

We had a great time on the water with the Kayaks. We were there during a heat wave and the water provided relief. There is no air conditioning so we did our best with fans.
The house had so many sitting areas and tables that worked great with our family for games and socializing. Carl and Jill were great hosts.

We loved the house and the big wrap around enclosed porches make it spacious! The lake is quiet and beautiful, the property is nicely private for a lake front home. The house clearly dates way back, but necessary updates and upgrades have been done to make it comfortable and much more of a home than a camp. Hope to stay again!

Such a charming home! It was the perfect place for our family of 5 plus two grandparents. Everything was clean when we arrived and the kitchen was well equipped. We especially liked the front porch. And the lake is beautiful! We really enjoyed swimming and sunning on the dock.

We had a wonderful time in this home. Love the character of an old home with a new addition and modern touches. The porch facing the water was my favorite, can drink coffee and aee the sunrise or sundown. You can even watch those who are ice fishing and take breaks to come inside. The water is right there. We had so much luck with catching fish that we even ate them for supper one evening. We caught trout, large and small bass, yellow perch and a black crappie. It was very exciting. The kitchen was full of utensils. The house is spacious and has plenty of room for a family/friend gathering. Def want to come back for next year ice fishing. Thank you for having us.

This was our second time booking this home on the lake for our annual ice fishing trip and it did not disappoint—very nice house and close to Grateful Grain Brewing, the local bait shop, and some stores.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at this vacation property! Everything exceeded our expectations – the place looked exactly as pictured, if not better. The well-equipped kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

This house was exactly what we needed for a northern getaway! We went with a total of 13 people and the house fulfilled our every need. The highlight,of course, was the beautiful location. Right on the water, the property provides everything you need to enjoy yourself.... including fishing gear, kayaks, and a canoe. We spent most of our nights outside enjoying the fire pit and the beautiful sunrises over the pond. Highly recommend this property.

Our family gathered from 5 households and had a wonderful vacation at Sunfish Cove! The house is big and very well furnished. We all like to cook and found every item we needed in the kitchen. We took full advantage of the porch to drink coffee and watch the sunrise. Anytime we weren’t in the water we hung out in the yard or on the porch. Over the week we used all the watercraft to explore the lake. That covers everything we look for in a vacation. The house has a long history and we liked the photos of families vacationing there years ago. Our hosts were readily available to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. It was a great time!!

Our family had a wonderful week at this amazing home. Beautiful view, huge house stocked with everything we could possibly need and loads of kayaks and other boats. Saw the loons each day as they swam right by the house. Owners are friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this vacation home!!!!

Beautiful and spacious home for our extended family ranging from ages 2 to 63! The property and lake is very private and peaceful. We saw loons, bald eagles, lots of fish! Waterfront is where we spent most of the day swimming, kayaking, fishing and floating! We loved having morning coffee and meals on the bright screened in porch and the house stayed cool with the open windows and screened doors. Host was responsive to all of our questions. Would love to go back tomorrow if we could!

We loved the property. There was plenty of room for all our guests, and despite being older home everything was well maintained. There was also many things to do on property indoors and outdoors - videos, ping pong, foos ball, paddle boat, etc. I highly recommend for future vacations.

We are a group of nine ranging in age from 1 to 57 and this house was just perfect for us! Fully equipped and comfortable. I was worried that no a/c would be an issue, but it was not. Ceiling fans and breezes keep the house comfortable during the day and even cool at night. Everything from the house to the canoe and kyaks, fire pit and porch were more than we could have asked for! Perfect way to relax and enjoy family!

We had the most amazing week at this home. The location was exactly what we were looking for. The house had everything and more you could possibly need to accommodate a large group. We rented a pontoon boat and aside from grocery shopping and one night out to visit a couple local breweries we never had to leave! We rent a house in NH/maine every year and this year had a large group ranging from 17 months to 79 years and all agreed it was one of the best we’ve stayed in so far! The owners were quick to respond the our questions and lovely to chat with. We hope to rent again in the future!

Thank you so much! Our family enjoyed a week of quality time here! The owners have thought of everything to make it family friendly and fun for all ages! Owner is quick to respond to any questions and helpful with ideas in the area if you are looking for recommendations. We would definitely pick this destination again for another family get together.

We had one of our best New England summer vacation's at Carl and Jill's home.
The house suited our family of 5 plus a few friends perfectly. There were plenty of spots throughout the house where everyone could do their own thing (like the hammock, swing, comfy chairs on the lawn, porch table, porch couch, etc) or gather together.
We had a few outdoor fires and dinners on the side patio along with the resident mallard duck that loved lounging on the dock. The beds were comfy and the linens soft.
This was our first time at this lake and it was beautiful. The water was clear and we all swam right off the front dock. Even though there are houses on either side, it was a quiet spot with plenty of privacy. We all enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boat.
The surrounding area was a lot of fun too. We found a great ice cream spot (Fielder's Choice) and a farm with homemade cider donuts. My husband and I had a great time golfing at two local courses- both were well maintained and everyone was super nice.
Jill and Carl were attentive and check in and check out were very easy.
We are looking forward to coming back next summer.

Our family enjoyed our four day weekend at the house on Sunfish cove celebrating our son’s graduation from Bates College over a memorial
day Weekend. The graduation day was 90
Degrees so we enjoyed coming back and swimming and taking the boats out on the pond.
We had a wonderful time and there was plenty of room for some of his friends to come by after the graduation. We loved the spot and highly recommend it !

We had a fantastic time at this rental property. We went with another family and had 5 children under the age of 7 with us. The kids had a blast playing in the basement and exploring the property. The property had everything we needed in order to have a very memorable vacation. Highly recommend!

I don’t even know where to begin.. sunfish cove is more than just an air bnb, it’s something truly special. The hosts, Jill and Carl were the best hosts anyone could ever ask for! They were both so sweet and attentive. Jill even reached out when she noticed the weather was getting cooler to tell me how to use the heat. The house is immaculate, with a fully loaded kitchen, she shed and stunning porch that wraps around 3 sides of the house. My son LOVED the fact that there was a toy box. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in July, so we decided to plan a mini family vacation. We live here in Maine but her brother and his wife live in Virginia. We all stayed at the house together and there was plenty of room! With the help of our friends and family, we decided sunfish cove would be the perfect place to have an intimate wedding ceremony! I wanted to make sure my mom could attend my wedding while she is feeling well. We were supposed to get married this September anyway but had pushed it back due to us having a new baby! With decorations already purchased, it was easy to set up. The property was the perfect location! Sand pond is so beautiful and our photos reflect that. Sunfish cove and sand pond will forever be imprinted on our hearts. We hope we can visit again sometime in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Sunfish Cove. The front porch has amazing views and there is plenty of sitting options, both inside and out. The kitchen has everything that you would need and the games in the basement as well as the fire pit just add to the many options. My whole family because members of the 5 pond club. This meant that we each kayaked to all five connected ponds. Jill was wonderful to communicate with and was very prompt and caring during our correspondence.

Our family of 6 (parents & college age kids) spent 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The house is big and stocked with everything we could possibly need, including comfortable beds with vert nice linens and towels. The wrap around 4-season porch was our main gathering area, where we ate, played cards, read books, napped, and just about everything else. The property is gorgeous with multiple seating areas, three sides of water views, a dock, kayaks, fishing poles, floaties, fire pit, hammock, she-shed, etc. etc. In other words, a million things for every possible activity, whether you're trying to be active or just chilling and watching the water (which we did a lot.) The water is crystal clear and warm; great swimming. We kayaked all over the lake, past and around the southern islands and along the other shore. We wish we could have done even more exploring but our trip was short. Overall I would give this a 10/10 and highly recommend to anyone looking for a waterfront Maine cabin. We will be back!
