We loved our rental! It was clean and very well taken care of. We were a little worried about no windows, but it was PERFECT!!

The best stay I’ve ever had on Bryson City!

Great location and very clean. Easy to communicate with owners. Once we were there, I was less comfortable with staying there. I had read that the place had no windows and wasn't worried about that but then realized that this meant that there was only one point of egress (the front door) in the event of a fire. This is actually illegal in most states and in reading North Carolina building code, I am not clear if having 2 bedrooms without a second point of egress is up to code (it seems like the code in NC is quite complicated)--I certainly makes me uncomfortable. It seemed like there were some corners cut in regards to drywall (e.g., they didn't actually tape and mud the two pieces of drywall together, just painted in between). It makes me worry about any other corners that could have been cut to turn a profit. (this also could have been a stylistic element, however). The wifi also didn't work very well (we ended up turning off the wifi and using our own data). The place was very clean, well located, and I admit I am very risk-adverse and so read this review with those things in mind. I would consider staying here again but would would look at properties first before making a decision.

We had a nice time and the space was nice and clean. We weren't fans of no windows. We arrived later in the evening due to travel delays and we were hungry. We found there was nothing in the town open. Resturants and bars close at 8 pm or earlier, stores close at around 5 or 6. The space itself was nice, the town left us looking for things to do. If we would return we'd look for a space with windows. We did have a lovely couple days tho as we walked during the day to the different shops and brewerys.

Walking distance to everything in downtown. We plan to take a return trip to Bryson City next December and plan to stay at Island Street Hideaway again.

We absolutely loved staying here! It was perfect for me, my husband, and our two young children! It was right next to everything, it was clean, and management was easy to get ahold of (I couldn’t figure out how to turn the fireplace on). I highly recommend this property and will be staying here again in the future!

You’d never guess this is a VRBO but it is right in the heart of it all. We walked to breakfast and dinner each day at Everett’s Diner and bought t-shirts from the HD outpost. We also enjoyed coffee and donuts at Honey Bear cupcakery. The unit was clean and provided everything we needed. Perfect for a small family or great for a couple’s getaway.
Also close to NOC where we rafted down the Nantahala River. Can’t say enough about this town and the “cabin”. We’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Perfect location to everything in town. We literally walked everywhere because it was so close and convenient. The apartment itself was beautiful. Love all the natural wood. Was very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable. My only small complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear every conversation the office next door is having. Other than that, everything was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

Right downtown and walking to cute shops, coffee, and a great breakfast option right around the corner. The negatives were no windows so it felt sort of dark, and the morning noise on a weekday in the business next door very early was not desirable. You could hear every word of every conversation. The cabin may not have been rented in a while and therefore not cleaned before arrival, the bathrooms had spider webs, dust, and the toilet and shower had rings. The coffee creamer was also expired.
