Sehr praktisch und liebevoll eingerichtetes Hostel, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Es ist offensichtlich, dass alles mit Freude und gut überlegt eingerichtet wurde.

I love this hostel and its owners! It is a family-run establishment and you can feel that they have put their heart and soul into making it feel just like home. It is a rather small hostel with just one dorm for 6 people and the rest are single or double rooms. The place has been recently renovated. The kitchen is fully equipped, it has a very warm and homey feeling, I loved being there and cooking with other travellers. Next to the kitchen, there is a nice terrace, with great views on the town square (which was wonderfully lit for the festive period) and the ocean in the distance. Apart from that, there is additional outside area with some chairs and yoga mats. There are also plenty of bathrooms and the place is kept sparkling clean. I normally pick the bottom bunk bed, although when I arrived, there was only the top one available and I am glad that it turned out that way, as the beds are custom-built, very solid, quite high and well-designed and I felt I could have some privacy on the upper level. I am not an experienced hiker but I wanted to try some easy walks that La Palma had to offer and the owners suggested amazing routes that were just perfect for me. In general, it was so nice to talk to those very interesting and friendly people. Oh, and an update (if you read any earlier reviews): the church bell that was waking everybody up at night is now turned off! So no worries, the dorm was very quiet and I slept like a log.
I hope I would be able to come back one day to this wonderful hostel and lovely little town.

kitchen and terrace/common area is very nice and has everything you need and more! room was clean, decorated nicely, and the building is very nice. staff were very helpful. easy parking close by.
I saw this in other comments and it didn’t bother me - but for those who are light sleepers some rooms may face the square with church bells and a bit of noise. but it really wasn’t very loud and didn’t bother us at all.

A super pretty building, lovely use of colours, plants in the interior etc. Not to mention the terrace next to the kitchen with an amazing view. Got a great and friendly reception with explanations about where to find everything in the hostel, how to use the kitchen, tips for restaurants and what to see nearby. I forgot a pair of pants in the room, these were sent to my home address quickly, truly amazing!
Mattress was not very comfortable. You can hear pretty much everything (outside and inside the building in the hallway).

Very nice style. Super tidy. Amazing terrace. Biggest compliments to the owners. We were on roadbike trip around la Palma and the owner gave us really valuable info, as he is passionate cyclist himself.

A brand new hostel, everything fresh and modern, kitchen very well equiped (incl. dish washer!), friendly owners.
Good location for hiking trips (also for a visit of the Caldera Taburiente, a highlight in La Palma for hiking or nature sightseeing - don't miss it, but you need a car...)
(Parking is possible nearby at the streets or public parking areas around the hostel, free of charge)
The location is not in the common tourist route, is a small village, so (at least in December) not so many travellers were there to meet.
The village has also a church with a bell, so get your earplugs with you, even in a single room...

I stayed in the dorm for two nights and was quite happy with my choice. The interior of the whole building is brand new, the dorm has a good size for six beds (whereby two beds are kind of separated by an in-room wall), the beds are of good quality and quite big (for sitting and sleeping), there are sockets, a light and a board to put stuff for each bed. Another highlight is the kitchen (with dishwasher) and the big terrace in front of it.
Besides the dorm there are several private single and private double rooms. During my stay the dorm was nearly empty but both days I met multiple nice individuals in the kitchen area. The hostel is a great starting point for the Los Tilos Hikes (LP-6 and LP-7) and for the respective part of the GR 130 (Franceses -> Barlovento + Barlovento -> Los Sauces). The hostel owner provided me some helpful advice regarding those hikes.
Some people complained about the market place that can be a bit noisy in the night. That is however no problem for the dorm which points to another street.
As everything in the hostel the different bathrooms (at least 3 maybe even more) are also super new and were pretty clean most of the time. One of the bathrooms was however missing a possibility to hang things (clothes, towel, ...). There has already been an installation for a hanger so this should be easily fixable. Another complaint on a high comfort level is, that there was no soap in one of the bathrooms (should be fixable easily as well).

Everything is new and clean. Very nice design. Lovely hosts. Great recommendations for hikes etc. Beautiful kitchen and the terrace. Nice square in front of the building.
