Something about this hotel has a really lovely vibe. The decor is very pleasing on the eye in both the rooms and common parts. It’s a little bit quirky without going over the top. The staff are attentive, professional and polite!
4.6
Clean rooms that were decorated to a high standard. Staff friendly and efficient.
4.6
Lovely comfortable beds. Room quiet at night. Delicious breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.
4.6
Nice hotel, stayed for wife’s birthday. However we didn’t get any sleep due to noise until 3am, for breakfast coffee was very weak, croissants all old and stale
4.6
The hotel and room were both excellent. Unfortunately, the quality of the 3rd bed in our room was hugely disappointing. It was saggy, too soft and very uncomfortable. The hotel staff replaced the original one when we complained but there was little or no improvement. The room we had (511) had a sofa. Perhaps consider a sofa bed in this style of room. All other aspects of our stay were excellent.

Usually have a fab stay here but my room this time was very tired and dirty in places which I did tell management but never heard back. Also asked for a quiet room as I sleep very poorly and was put in a very busy location near a door and lift and the hotel definitely wasn’t full.
4.6
Gorgeous room but check for hidden costs if booking on a deal. The spa was an extra £20 per person per day & there was supplement for dinner when ordering a burger. Breakfast was tasty bur portions were very little. X
4.6
Lovely rooms, beautifully decorated. Great rooftop bar with highly skilled bar staff and lovely cocktails. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Everything you want in a hotel.
4.6
Really good stay, room was exceptional and impeccable in terms of cleanliness. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Only issue was the cost to use the spa was a lot given the level of facilities available.
4.6
Great hotel. Will be coming back again
4.6
Hotel was lovely and well presented. Breakfast was disappointing, bread selection was poor and one of our scrambled eggs were dry and powdery. Other than that, service was amazing and rooms were stylish. I will return but eat breakfast out next time.
4.6
Easy check in and a very nice comfy bed and everything else we could need. Excellent central location. However, there is no access to the hotel by car so you have to walk with your luggage from the nearest car park which is 3-5 mins away.

Perfect city location among shops and short distance for vibrant night life . Our Room was on 8th floor with a balcony , spacious boutique styling , huge bed that was very comfy , all the usual extras that you’d expect in 4 star hotel . However our room was Very dusty . We opted for in room breakfast All very lovely but cold as no cover on breakfast trays.
Hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful . Beckett roof top bar a lovely addition . Colsons restaurant on ground floor had very slow service and inexperienced waitresses who were clearly under pressure with lots of complaints from other guests due to wait time for food.
Overall we would definitely use the hotel again but eat somewhere else .

Really enjoyed my second visit to this hotel. Staff are very helpful and my room was spacious and comfortable

The receptionist who greeted us was lovely and very attentive and got us into our room early which was fabulous. The room was immaculate and we loved the decor. The beds was really comfortable.
Where the hotel fell short was a lack of leadership and organisation at breakfast. The staff were friendly but despite there being lots of them, there seemed to be no one leading them and organising. Being a People Manager - I wanted to get up and give them some leadership! The food took forever. We were asked if we wanted ketchup, we said yes and never got it, the same with milk with our tea. It would make far more sense to make these things readily available so people can help themselves. The reason I gave a low rating for eco friendliness was the plastic around the robes - absolutely no need for this! Costly, time consuming and bad for the environment.

We enjoyed our stay, however the bar closed at 10-30 even to residents, and it took a long time to get our breakfast.
4.6
We had another great stay at Hotel Indigo Exeter. Friendly staff, lovely room and a perfect location.
4.6
This is a lovely, stylish hotel right in the centre of Exeter. The only disadvantage was that it has no parking. On balance, the breakfast wasn't as good as you get for hotels of equivalent quality.
4.6
This is a lovely well kept hotel. The staff are attentive and helpful. The hotel is very convenient to all that Exeter has to offer. I had a stunning room overlooking the Cathedral. I had not appreciated that there is no pick up or drop off point near the hotel. However, the reception staff provided a useful accurate map where my booked airport taxi could park ready to pick me up and it was minutes away. I look forward to staying again at Indigo Exeter. The Retreat Spa treatments and service outstanding, l can't recommend enough.

Lovely 1 night stay, room was good, clean and tidy, nice decor.
Wasn’t that far a walk from public car park, approx 6/7 mins.
Breakfast was good, facilities nice, only the full English was quite small, only 1 of each, which was a bit disappointing.

Lovely hotel and great breakfast

This is asurprisingly beautiful hotel in the heart of Exeter, only a few steps from the famous Cathedral and other shopping centres. The staff were absolutely onn point, polite and professional. The rooms were spacious and all the appliances in the room worked perfectly. I shall definitely return to this hotel.

I loved the design details showing the history of the building. Great spot for the restaurants around the Cathedral Green.
4.6
Had the feature Bath Suite and it was amazing, service throughout the hotel was excellent.
4.6
We had a beautifully decorated room with excellent facilities. The central areas were also superb!
4.6
The Hotel Indigo was in a very central location in Exeter and very near to the Cathedral. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. However, the toilet had an issue with the flushing system and the toilet roll holder came away from the wall. We reported it on checkout and had we been staying longer than 1 night, we would have reported it sooner. Would definitely stay again at the Hotel Indigo.
4.6
Great city centre location
Nicely decorated rooms and htel
4.6
Staff is undertrained and unhelpful. I could not get a banknote changed or a taxi ordered. When the lounge next door had a very loud (shaking the windows) event they would not move us.
4.6
Second stay here. Great location right next to shops, restaurants and bars. Lovely rooftop bar with great views. Super comfy bed too!
4.6
Fabulous hotel, great location.
4.6
It was a lovely stay, my only negative would be that the quilt was not big enough for the size of the bed and found we were fighting over it all night! Gorgeous room and very good aircon ! ;)
4.6
We reserved a four person bed room for GB1,260 (!) and it turned out that it would not fit more than two persons. It had two mini-beds that impossibly could be for two people. We changed the room for a normal room with a king-size bed and got a partial refund. The manager was friendly and professional but we still overpaid.
4.6
A Veryan good stay at the hotel.

No on site parking, but all else was great.

very clean .great location and nice bar

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo for a birthday surprise, we were not disappointed. The staff on reception we all very welcoming and went out of there way to help out with some special touches for the room. The spa was excellent, and the customer service we received from Sammy was second to none. Afternoon tea was delicious as were the spicy margarita’s that we had with it. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with beautiful decor. All in all a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.
4.6
Room long and very narrow with a long narrow window which let in very little light.
Need more staff - 10 min wait to check in only one person on reception. Bar service and restaurant service only.
Wardrobe in room ridiculously small and short couldn’t hand a dress in it.
Housekeeping needs to be a little better some of the pillowcases were put on inside out and a balloon from the previous guest was left in the room down the side of a bed which makes me think the second bed wasn’t changed from the prior guest or that area hoovered - yuck !
Cute tie backs to the fact it used to be a department store. Staff were friendly just not enough of them.
For the price a little disappointing.
4.6
Many reasons;
-The hotel can’t be reached easily specially when you have luggage without anyone can support you at the hotel.
-The rate is so high(£1,280 for 2 nights) for Exeter considering that I booked for a corner suite and had the room empty, no fruits, flowers, water or amenities like bathrobes and slippers.
-what was a disgusting’s disaster is that we checked in without changing the bedsheets from the previous guest and we support our complaint with pictures taken for the dirt and hairs.
-The contact customer service was really difficult hence I had to call from my mobile the hotel number to get someone to answer my call and listen to my enquiry.
4.6
Lovely hotel situated in a very central location with shopping, bars and the cathedral all on the doorstep. They served a great breakfast.
4.6
Hotel is nicely laid out, good room sizes and well appointed though noise and poor a/c are an issue. Biggest problem is lack of staff and very poor and untrained staff. Room was dusty and sink blocked when we moved in with only two hangers in wardrobe. Then noticed that biscuits in coffee station had been opened. Stayed for two night and the room was not made up, cleaned or coffee, toiletries and toilet rolls replaced. Raised all these issues including blocked sink and nothing happened. Bar staff were also very poor, wines on menu not available and bar man had to seek help to have a wine bottle opened! Roof top bar very nice but also understaffed, tables not cleared and external seating left flooded with wet cushions and blankets after rain. Avoided eating in hotel as I was warned about similar staff issues. All in all could be a great hotel but needs new management and experience rapidly.
